#SUPERUSER APP BY Koush#
#Description#
Grant and manage Superuser rights for your phone.
Troubleshooting
Issues installing or upgrading from another Superuser or SuperSU? Try the recovery zip installation linked below.
Apps being denied? Disable the "Declared Permission" setting, and delete the "Deny" policies.
This app requires that you already have root, or a custom recovery image to work.
Features
* Multiuser support
* OPEN SOURCE (https://github.com/koush/Superuser)
* Pin protection
* Manifest permission support
* Per app configuration
* FREE
* Request timeout
* Logging
* Notifications
* Proper Tablet UX
Why another Superuser?
* Superuser should be open source. It's the gateway to root on your device. It must be open for independent security analysis. Obscurity (closed source) is not security.
* Superuser should be NDK buildable. No internal Android references.
* Superuser should also be AOSP buildable for those that want to embed it in their ROM.
* Superuser should also be AOSP embeddable, meaning a ROM can easily embed it into their Settings app.
* Maintenance and updates on both the market and source repositories should be timely.
* If something goes wrong, I can fix it.
* Handle multiuser (4.2+) properly
* Handle concurrent su requests properly
Manual installation with the recovery zip:
Recommended if you are having installation issues or are not rooted

great.thanks.
Superuser came preinstalled with android revolution hd version 31.
It asks to update the binary file, but the only option it gives is via recovery. However this seems impossible with twrp, only possible with clockwork mod recovery maybe?
Normally I wouldn't care, I would just uninstall and install one of the other superuser or supersu apps, but in this case you can only uninstall the "update" not the actual superuser app which is impossible to uninstall and doesn't appear in the program list.
I don't want any conflicts with other superuser apps so would appreciate any info how to either update or completely uninstall this app.
I'm thinking, something that's "open source" shouldn't have limited functionality with all but a specific recovery rom
thank very much

This is a somewhat old post but I will respond to it like this... The reason it will not let you uninstall it is cause it is installed as a System APP if you download an APK called RootAppDelete which you can find in the Google Play Store you can uninstall it. I'm not sure what dependencies in your system you have but I think as long as you install another Superuser app it should be ok..
Hope this helps you and clears up why you cannot remove it.
EDIT: This is also the reason you can only uninstall updates and not the APP it self. (ALSO) This is an old post as I mentioned but maybe it will help others who read it..

I created this because there is one floating around here on the forums that is actually a fake jellybean inverted apps flashable .zip this one is completely real. I compiled this file myself and contains the latest G apps and inverted jellybean apps. This should work on all devices but use at your own risk. This is for CM 10 and AOKP JB only.
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible if you do not read this OP and break your phone. If your significant other leaves you because you become more addicted to your phone. If you wake up one day as a black and white speckled jellybean.
I present to you....JustinBean Aroma JB
Directions:
I recommend a full wipe but only if its your first time using JustinBean Aroma.
Install the jellybean ROM of your choice
Open up the JustinBean aroma file within cwm.
Wipe Cache within the JustinBean aroma application. (If you are using a new kernel select option three wipe cache and kernel)
Install what you want
Finish running installer then you have the option to reboot or go back to clockwork mod.
Installer will wait 30 sec before rebooting this is to ensure that everything is installed fully.
Enjoy and please don't forget to use the thank you button.
This is a custom installer that will allow you the user to choose which converted applications you would like to install. The choice now is completely up to you you can pick one to all none it's completely your choice. This is a completely touch process where you touch the screen to choose which you would like to install. You can install the latest launchers you can also install app add-ons such as ES file explorer.
Note:
If you are experiencing touch screen issues please use your volume up and down keys as well as the power button to select your options. Since this is a universal app there is only so much one can do to make it universal for all. You may also press your menu button when inside of the installer for a touch screen config for the app (though this feature is still not guaranteed to work). You will be able to launch my file manager directly from the application while inside clockwork mod this is for advanced users only.

ASUP Version 2 is now here!
>/What is project ASUP?
Project ASUP, which stands for Android Starter Update Pack and pronounced as (A, S, U, P and not as, up), is an Aroma Installer Package that contains all neccesary applications to kick start your root experience on your newly rooted phone or when you just flashed an all new ROM to your mobile.
>/What is included in the ASUP Package?
SuperSU
Busybox
Android Terminal Emulator
No Frills CPU Control
Pimp My ROM
ROM Toolbox LITE
Root Uninstaller
Titanium Backup
And many more!
>/Why ASUP?
ASUP allows you, the user to have the liberty of choosing and installing what apps you want while having an all-in-one package without you needing to download everything from the Google Play Store. This package can be considered as a similar version of the GApps Package although giving you greater flexibility through the use of the AROMA Installer.
>/Is this Package Safe to use? :silly:
Once you've rooted your phone, everything you do can be considered as unsafe. Nonetheless, the ASUP Package is free from any viruses and malware. If you do not know how to flash a zip file to your mobile or know the basics of having a recovery and using a root phone, then please do read-up more online before flashing this package as it may lead you and your phone to unexpected consequences.
>/How to install ASUP
1. Download the LASTEST XSP ASUP Package from the Download Site(s)
2. Transfer the Package into your preffered storage in your device
3. Check if the size of the package is the same as the size shown on the Download Site
3a. If file size is not the same, download the package from another site or redownload the package online
4. Reboot into Recovery mode using your preferred Custom Recovery. (Don't have a recovery? Get all of the recoveries here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649923)
5. Install the package from the location you placed your package.
6. Follow through the AROMA Installer using your preffered theme. It is also recommended to opt in to clear your Dalvik Cache during AROMA installation.
6a. If you do not want to install any apps, do not click on any of the apps listed and follow through the installer without installing anything and your phone will reboot as usual.
7. After completing the installation, reboot your phone into Android
8. Allow Android to optimize all your previous application to improve performance of applications
9. After optimization, reboot your device again and you should be completed! :victory:

Nice package. I would also post a thing i use as it is related to this thread.
There is an app called zipme on play. Just use it to create any type of flash zip containing the apps you want.
Just install required apps, then use zipme to create zip.
Although aroma gives you custom selection which is easier

This method should* also work for other HTC phones that have S-on.
Xposed is a framework for modules that can change the behavior of the system and apps without touching any APKs. That's great because it means that modules can work for different versions and even ROMs without any changes (as long as the original code was not changed too much). It's also easy to undo. As all changes are done in the memory, you just need to deactivate the module and reboot to get your original system back. There are many other advantages, but here is just one more: Multiple modules can do changes to the same part of the system or app. With modified APKs, you to decide for one. No way to combine them, unless the author builds multiple APKs with different combinations.
Rooted HTC 610
'Unknown sources' allowed in the settings.
BusyBox
Go to the Xposed website and download what version you want (I recommend Stable since your flashing Xposed) or download them from the official links down below.
Latest Stable - 2.6.1 - recommended
Latest Experimental - 2.7 experimental1
Install the Xposed Installer and launch it, after that open the 'Framework' tab and tap on the 'Install/Update' button, if it asks you for Superuser permissions, tap the Grant button. The phone should restart automatically, if not tap on the Soft Reboot button.
After rebooting open Xposed Installer again and open the Settings tab, tap on 'Installation mode' and select 'Recovery (write zip to SD card, flash manually)', then go back to the Framework tab and tap again on the 'Install/Update' button. A pop-up will appear onscreen and it'll ask you to Reboot into recovery, hit ok and remember the zip file location (/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files).
When you boot into recovery tap on the 'Install' button and go to Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files and select the Xposed-Installer-Recovery.zip. Flash it and it should say it was successful, only thing left is to tap on the 'Reboot System' button. Your phone should reboot and now you have Xposed installed on your HTC 610.
Glad to see more action on this devise
I have followed your instructions, however I do not find the Xposed-Installer-Recovery.zip file. I have just the uninstaller... Did I make a mistake ? Thanks for your work.:good:
I don't know what happened, because I found it just fine, did u select flash manually through recovery in the xposed app itself?

It could be possible that it's on sdcard or even on the ext_sd, but I would recommend installing this kernel mod and it will turn off system protection and you'll be able to install xposed with the install to system option if you didn't already s-off your phone.
Is this module compatible with the kernel version 3.4.40-Jmz-A3 ? Thankx !

An ad blocker that uses the hosts file. The hosts file contains a list of mappings between hostnames and IP addresses. When an app requests an ad, that request is directed to 127.0.0.1 which does nothing. There are options to run a web server to respond to blocked hostnames and to direct requests to the IP address of your choosing. You can download hosts files from the app but it is possible to use your own and to add certain sites to the white- and black-lists.
Rooted HTC 610
'Unknown sources' allowed in the settings.
Flashify
symlink_hosts_to_data.zip from this thread.
AdAway
Go ahead and download all the required apps, i.e. Flashify, the flashable zip and AdAway.
Launch Flashify and go to the 'Backup/Restore' tab and make backups of your current kernel and recovery. After that go to the 'Flash' tab and select 'Zip file', locate the 'symlink_hosts_to_data.zip' and select 'TWRP or Philz' under 'Your Recovery' and tap on 'Yup!'. If you have downloaded the zip to your internal storage you don't need to copy the file to a safe path. The phone will now automatically reboot and flash the zip, you don't need to do anything.
After you're rebooted install AdAway and launch it, when you are inside AdAway click the three dots in the top right corner and select 'Preferences', scroll down to 'Hosts File' and tap on 'Target hosts file' in the popup menu tap on '/data/data/hosts'.
Go back to the main tab and tap on 'Download files and apply ad blocking' and reboot. Enjoy your ad-free phone now!

Its great to see someone making and sharing guides for our phone. Thanks!
Also if you're looking to get rid of ads on YouTube there's an xposed mod called YouTube adaway. Just look for it under downloads in xposed installer then click the box under mods. You might also like "yourtube".

there are a few dozen files that need to be backed up.
it would be easier for everyone if you made the backup option in the installer.
also, it doesn't install. says that files are not found.
this seems like a great mod but i would like to know if this will work on kirisakura kernel , i don't want to revert to stock kernel just to ejoy this mod while losing out better functionality of the kernel than stock.
applets not found and no such file or directory...
