Do know a good torrent client /Downloader - TouchPad Themes and Apps

As per the title, I have been using Ttorrent but find that when it is starting a dl it slows down my whole rom (Doesn't matter which one) and making other apps unresponsive.
Does anyone have a suggestion.

I've used tTorrent, uTorrent, aDownloader, and Frostwire, but found all of them to respond the same under ICS. With JB, supposedly more resources are allocated to the current application and I have found this to help a lot with the freezing up while downloading torrents. Under ICS my tablet would become entirely non responsive until the file finished. At least with JB it can do other things slowly at the same time.
What I would really like to see is a system resource allocation app! Something where you could monitor CPU and RAM usage, and also set limits on per app usage. For example, to be able to allocate tTorrent a maximum of 30% of the CPU resources!
But, in short, I have found all torrent managers to behave the same.

Best remote desktop viewer for nook?

I've been looking for a good remote desktop viewer for awhile with no luck. Free or paid it doesn't matter. I just want one that works great.

I'm using Remote RDP Light and have been pretty happy with it.
Team Viewer is free for non-commercial use and is pretty good.

I'll second TeamViewer. You have to download the .apk from their website though. They don't distribute through the Market.

I didn't like the free version of Team Viewer, because, correct me if I'm wrong, it timed out the server on my desktop after a few minutes (30 or so).
I'm currently using androidVNC, which works pretty well, and Wyse PocketCloud (which can connect to RDP, but I've only used the VNC capabilities)

I personally use the paid version of PocketCloud and love it. I've set some clients up with the free version and they haven't had any problems that I'm aware of.
*Edit*
I didn't see NCKevo's post from earlier. I use PocketCloud's RDP and VNC depending on the situation and have not run into any issues.
Also, the free version of PocketCloud is now limited to 1 saved connection.
I know this is bringing back a dead thread but if anyone finds this thread I want them to know what I decided on. I finally found a great solution. Splashtop. It is the best solution for me.

I downloaded Splashtop and the streamer for my PC but can't get them to connect...my nook doesn't find my PC. Anyone have any experience with getting them to connect? PC is running Win& Ultimate behind a Verizon (westell) router.
Never mind 3rd party software that you have to install on your pc/mac/Linux, I like Jump Desktop. Just set up an SMB server on your machine and your good Togo. Should be simple enough since most platforms comes with native SMB support.
Remember, this is just my 2 cents

After testing many apps, I settled on TeamViewer.
It's the only one that offers a decent refresh rate, doesn't pixelate, has simple controls for single-click, double-click and drag. Plus it's the only one that I've found that works well on my Nook and my LG G2X.
EDIT:
After reading about Jump Desktop (market:http://goo.gl/1SPPQ) mentioned by racks, I think I'll give that a shot. Looks intuitive.
+1 Splashtop
It streams sound, and I was able to play minecraft on the NC streaming from the PC. Also tried watching a couple of movies one of them 720p and it ran great. All this was done connected to the same network obviously, I haven't tried the option of entering your google credentials to be able to access the pc through a different network, I would think i would be slower, depending on the internet connection. Specially since my ISP only gives me 1mb upload.
If you are still undecided google or youtube "splashtop skyrim"

[Q] Android market glitch maybe???

I noticed that whenever I want to download more than one app in the market it waits until one completly downloads until the other one starts. Pretty annoying! How could I change this to simultaneous downloads?
The new market is just to glitchy/buggy IMO. Try using the App "Old Market" and see if you get any better results...
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
My market updates apps (Not new ones mind) 4 or 5 at a time I think. There is a limit to the amount of simultaneous downloads but it's pretty decent.
The one at a time download is a feature, i know with the old market and a ****ty old router when i loaded a new rom it would end up trying to download 10 things at a time and crash the router.
It's not as if the downloads will be slower, all the bandwidth to one download rather than a fraction to many.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
but it's crazy cause when I had my Desire HD it worked fine with downloading 5 things at once

Best Browser For the S3

Done a search but nothing of relevance came up in these forums.
Just got my phone today and so far just using the stock browser which seems ok but undoubtedly there are better browsers out there, i always used X-Scope on my SGSII but im a bit tired of that now and looking for something else,i hear Chrome for ICS is supposed to be very good, so what browser is everyone using then?
Chrome is not that great on s3 yet, it lags and has touch delays..stock browser is undoubtedly the best browser I have tried . It gets the work done. Only thing I don't like is how you manage tabs . Try dolphin browser, should run as stock but with some enchanced features
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well the built in browser works really nice, but i personally like
firefox and that you can use addons like adblock and so that i value
a lot personally.
Though I don't currently have the S3 yet, I'll probably use Boat Browser. Easy to use and has been the best I have used for my tastes. It'll be the fist I install when I get my S3.
Dunno where you heard that Chrome 'lags', that's definately not the case. Alright, you don't have Flash. I always thought of it as a huge drawback but I haven't missed it a single time and I've been using Chrome for Android since the very beginning.
It has great tab management, staggering performance and a brilliant look. One of the best things about it is the integration with your desktop Chrome (and all other versions of Chrome you might be using.) Open tabs are synced in real time so let's just say you want to open a link from your phone on your desktop. no more mailing it around, now you can just click on it on your desktop. The bookmark sync is great too. And it's Chrome.

Use Chrome. Also install Flashify. In the rare instance you launch a site that needs flash, just click share, flashify, then select an alternative browser. The page you were browsing is then opened for you.

Stock browser works well here.
Before I used Dolphin, but there's a bug or something. When double tapping to zoom in on an area on the page it always zooms in to the left of the page (instead of the area you double tap)
Do more people experience this bug?
Dolphin Mini - best interface, not a ton of features
Dolphin HD - alright interface, just works
Opera Mobile - most like a PC, best comparability with websites that give trouble, has hardware acceleration, super smooth
Stock - smoothest, least features, and has problems downloading certain types of files, or downloading at all from hosting websites

SGS3 RAM problem

Why my S3 has big RAM usage after about 4 days use? I checked RAM in taskmanager and about 500+MB of RAM is in use. At that time, my high-end games ,like amazing spiderman, start to lag and sometimes it even closes itself.I think this happens because it had not enough free RAM.So, I had to restart my device to lower RAM usage(only 200+MB RAM is in use, just after restarting). Why is that? Why RAM usage grows bigger if I didn't restart my device in 4 days? I've tried to limit Backgroung Processes in developer options of setting, but not working. It seems I should restart my phone everyday to get the full performance of my phone.
Any suggestions??

I would have thought the inbuit task manager would handle all this, from what i've read it is excellent. I normally go a week or two before a restart. But i only play games like sprinkle an angry birds.

If you play some games which need a lot of memory android will kill other apps, that are running in the background to free the needed memory. Android is not windows! It will not run out of memory. Even the applauncher gets closed if it's necessary. I play heavy games to (nova 3) and there are no lags, so ram is not the problem I think.

no issue with spiderman game here , one bad thing it require wifi to be on whenever gameplay is needed , did you force shut or freeze the apps ?

Application for uninterrupted download

Hi,
I am looking for a utility that keeps my download active in the background even if the call/sms come... Though I tried download manager but they don't work on downloading from hotfile sites..
Basically I am looking for an apk that keeps the data connection active even during call.
Thanks.

In my experience the best downloading machine is the Opera Mobile Browser itself.
However if you are looking for a stand alone downloader I recommend ADM or Advanced Download Manager.

The best one is Adownloader, just in my opinion. For resumable downloads and torrents.
