"Can't Uninstall After Root". (sk17i) - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi dudes, sorry to bother you but I just successfully rooted my sk17i yesterday, and started to randomly uninstall apps with Titanium Backup.
And now, for some reason, I can't uninstall any apps using the stock uninstall process. (app drawer and then uninstall).
I still can uninstall with Titanium Backup though.
My guess is I uninstalled the App which in facts, uninstalls apps
Can you please direct me to the stock uninstall app or service of 4.0.4 B 431.
tnx.
PS: When I try to install or uninstall apps, it says "Activity not found".

Download a file explorer where you can set root permissions (e.g. root explorer [paid], es explorer [free]) and mount /system as rw (read-write). Now copy the .apk to /system/app and set the permissions like the permissions of all the other app.apk files
Or you try this proram :good:

Tnx but how can I do these when I "Can't download and Install" any app?
what I need is a Titanium backup file (tibkp) with the system files i need in it, so I can import it with titanium backup.
Can't install any standalone app.

Just wanted to know, if "package installer" is an app, how do u install it?? u can't just install it, as it's the one which oversees installation, right?

lol yes.
I am trying to push installation with adb, but it fails.
The only way I could do this is a Titanium Backup file of someone who has the packageinstaller inside which I can import and use to restore.
--------
I am trying to push PackageInstaller.apk into the system/app folder. I got root from adbshell, but now it says "device not found"
I installed the latest driver, with the SDK, still the same.
note: never uninstall without backup.
------------
Repaired phone through Pc Companion. tnx again everyone.
message of the day:
Backup your stuff before uninstalling apps. (I guess I am the first to write this).

Write an updater-script to push the file to /system/app and let it set the permissions. Then zip it and flash it using cwm

When I directly unput "adb root", it says "adb cannot run as root in production builds".
When I enter adb shell, then su, I get # (which I guess its root), but then, any command I enter I get a "Device not found error"
I downloaded your zip but I have no idea what to do with it
I guess the backup would be great.
Can't get into recovery mode in Stock?

Because we have no recovery mode. You have to install cwm recovery using xparts (playstore app) or a script from development forum

If I were you, I will backup my apps, flash stock and relax my mind
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app

tnx dudes.
I couldn't fix this, it was too brutal, and I don't have the development knowledge to deal with such adb errors.
So I just Repaired the phone with PC Companion, and then re-root it.
Android Root Lesson 101:
Always backup your apps.

try "root app delete" in playstore. you can delete "user app", and "system app".

Connot remove incorrect working Superuser

I rooted my P500 (2.3.3) moths agoo and installed Superuser, it worked correct with Titanium Backup, ES File Explorer etc.
Now Superuser does not work correct anymore. Everything seems normal, apps do ask for rootrights and when Superuser prompt with the question for rootrights it looks normal (even in the Superuser logfile) BUT all applications wich asked for root don't work anymore.
I tried to remove Superuser but it is a "system app", for that I need rootrights ..... so I even cannot browse to the /system/app folder.
Is there a way to uninstall Superuser without totally wipe my phone?
Thanx for thinking with me.

[Q] *sigh* Root frustration...HELP

I bought my daughter a Visual Land Prestige 7g. There is a crap ton of stuff on it that a 7 year old just does not need, so I decided to root it...or so I thought. I don't know what else to do. I have tried the simple root tools. I have downloaded and installed adb, and sdk, Nothing I try has worked. I am not a tech whiz, but I'm not a complete moron either. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated because I HATE to be defeated! Lol! Oh, I'm running windows 8 x64 in case that is relevant.
Also, I would like to add that
This tablet IS equipped with google. It has gmail, and google play store stock. Everything runs off of your gmail account that you enter when you first set it up. It is the 7G, not the 7L, or 7D which do not have google. Not sure if it makes a difference, or not.

I noticed that the tablet shows up in device manager, but not in the This PC (my computer) folder. Any idea why that would be? It shows up in device manager as Android > Android ADB Interface.

Someone else suggested to use the impactor, but said to use snappea first since it will install the needed drivers automatically. I did that and it worked. I am rooted. However, I still can't uninstall any of the bloatware. I have tried 3 uninstallers, and they all go through the motions and say the apps were deleted, but they are not. Superuser is granting access to them, so I don't know what the deal is now.

Just tried busybox, and I dont recognize any of the "applets" it is showing, plus its showing them all as "applet is currently not symlinked/installed. info about this applet could not be found". All these apps are doing is uninstalling the updates.

[Q] How to install system apps using root explorer?

Hello there people!
I've installed a custom rom and would like to add some apps as system apps.

Still, my apps does not come up in my launcher.
Have I done anything wrong?
Thanks for the help!

If the apps you install are not compatible with the android version you're using they won't show up. The quickest way to check this is to doubleclick the .apk on the sd-card and see if it will install.. They will be in your user/app if they do, but you can move them from there to /system/app if you want. If they give an error when installing they're not compatible.

[Q] Superuser Problems Help!

Hey, Ok so i updated my Huawei u8650 to android 4.4.2 and something went wrong with my root. I can open superuser and it shows my binary and all that and it says im rooted but when i go to a app that requires root access like terminal emulator for example and i type in the command su. nothing happens it just goes to the next line. and i tried to mount my SD card partition in link2sd and it said that the script cant be created because its not allowed to su.
I thought it could be that superuser just wasn't allowing permissions but i open superuser and there's no apps, no logs or anything. I checked my settings and they're all fine and i even tried to use SuperSU instead and i still got the same thing. There's no prompt to allow access either. I don't know if the apps are just not trying to get root access or what? No app can get root permission and i need to get this fixed so i can fix some bugs on the rom. Please Help.
Thanks to all who attempt or do help. Ill be sure to hit thanks for u.

i rooted by SRSroot first then first got the error then i unrooted and re-rooted by using the kingo root method but still received the same error. they are both windows programs u can run for root on multiple devices. They use USB debugging to root then device reboots and bam your rooted.
i used those methods because i tried to just flash the binary files through cwm recovery and it never actually installed into system. The two methods above installed binary and rooted my device but i cant give root access to any apps including superuser or supersu.
If anyone can help me with this it would be appreciated because i hit a wall and don't know what to do. No apps can get root permissions and i cant fix my play store, WiFi, speakers or theme chooser until the root is properly working because the methods to fix those bugs need root to function. so please if anyone has knowledge or any idea why i have root but cant get access please help me out.

If there is a custom recovery available for your device I would recommend flashing that and then flashing the latest SuperSU.zip package in recovery. Part of the problem is the orginal Superuser (by ChainsDD) while excellent at the time is now extremely outdated and no longer really be maintained, as a result make sure you flash a Superuser package compatible with Android 4.4.2 such as the latest version of SuperSU.

If there is a custom recovery available for your device I would recommend flashing that and then flashing the latest SuperSU.zip package in recovery. OK so root checker says i have root access but i still cant access root permissions in apps. I took some screenshots of Link2sd, Terminal Emulator and root explorer so you can see what exactly is going on. I get some weird error in link2sd and root explorer that i have no clue what it is.
Anyone got any knowledge of this error?
