Adding Locations in Maps - HTC Rezound

Was wondering if anyone knew how to add new places to Maps. I some how have work and Home in my phone as locations that I can use in Calendar events which works great with Google Now but I want to add school and my friends house so on and so forth. Problem is I cannot for the life of me figure out how I added the other two? Does anyone know how to save locations in the Maps app and name them in order to get Google now to give me transportation suggestions and bus times? Answers much appreciated

Home and Work are the only two locations able to be set in the app like that.
You can I the browser however make custom locations that your app will see and allow you to use in G.N.

Well that kinda sucks lol.

Log into google maps in your browser and create starred locations and they will be picked up in Maps

Consolidate market purchases to 1 account?

I made various purchases with different “main gmail accounts", but always used the same Google checkout.
Now depending on what email I set as first after a new Tom install I can either download a part of what was purchased with that gmail as default or reset and use the other default for the other apps, impossible though to access all purchased, attempts restoring backed up apps result in copyright protection prompts.
Any idea how to solve that?

After reading true the Google FAQ I found the answer, anything else than satisfying though...:
- According to Google each purchase is associated with your main account - main account as per definition is the one that you've added first after installing a rom, regardless if your checkout account is associated with another gmail account. They state clearly that if one changes email, he has to buy the stuff again.
Usually not the approach that google takes, and without ending in a collective bash, I still gotta admit that this is quite a primitive way of handling customer relation - at least in my opinion.
[Edit:] I made an experiment with apprain.com, hoping they would be the solution for future purchases, but unfortunately the market app is the dominating part in the triangle between user - apprain - market syncing[/Edit:]

[Q] Location field in calendar app

I previously had a Milestone and in the calendar app there any address I entered into the location field would be clickable and offer an option to open maps or navigate to it. In the samsung app I can add a location but it is not clickable. I have seen that you can open the map from the edit screen but this seems only to let you get a single map image rather than giving full functionality. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing?
Edit: I tried installing Jorte calendar and that has clickable address links working. When viewing the same event in both only Jorte allows me to click through.
Looking into this it seems the feature is simply missing from the samsung app rather than not activated and has been since the original galaxy. Is this something that can easily be modded?
I am needing this feature as well. When I had my captivate, stock did not have this but with the cognition rom it seemed to work. I don't know how it was modded to work. However, when I updated my captivate to the 2.2 stock firmware I897UCKB1, it had this feature. Now that I have a SGS2 its very disappointing that it doesn't have this again. I use the Clickable address location in calendar every day to get to appointments. It is so frustrating to have to open the appointment, edit the appointment, copy the address from location, hit home, open maps, hit search, paste the address, and hit search again while driving. This could all be done with one click if the location was clickable. I am willing to donate $15 to anyone able to give a solution using the SGS2 stock calendar app. Thanks.

The best i could think of is to do a search of the location before hand copy then copy the link to the description part on the calender entry. Also add the location snapshot (this is just a picture as you might have aready noticed). Now when the appointment pops up, just click the link(set it up to open with maps). This way you can getting the navigation running from the appointment itself.
add another one to the list of people who really need this feature.
i have just come from a year with a htc desire and its something i really miss.
This is a silly oversight. Something that other apps on the market implement without issue. I'm disappointed!

[Q] Send location / directions to someone?

Is there any way to send your current gps location or directions to your gps locaton to someone?
I used to be able to this on my Galaxy Note but I can't seem to find a way on the Lumia.
If you drop a pin on, say, Caring Cross Road, in Maps and click it and choose send via text or email, the email just says something like "checkout Charing Cross Road" and not contain map reference to your exact location!
Is there any way to do these things?
I'm using Whatsapp to send my location. Also there are some Apps that use Google Latitude gMaps is one of them. Also with gMaps you can share the exact coordinates if you prefer this way of sharing.
There is an app echoecho available in the marketplace. I've never used it, but it seems to be made exactly for this job...

[Q] Google Voice Search Personalized Recognition

I posted this in the General Android Q & A forum without a response so I'll post my question here as well. I have been having issues with Google Voice Search recognizing some of my commands. The main problem is having the app recognize the names of some of my contacts. If the contact has a "normal" name with a "normal" spelling there isn't any problems, but any unique names or spellings do not work. I figured with time the personalized recognition option would remedy this but it has not. After some searching and taking suggestions from XDA and other forums, I decided to post my own topic to see if there is any help to be had.
I have made sure that all of my contacts are synced to the Google servers. The other popular answer is to clear your speech data from the Google dashboard. But I cannot find that option anywhere. The threads I've read say go to the Google Dashboard, scroll down to the Speech section, and click anonymize data.
My Google dashboard does not have a Speech section. I know the personalize speech recognition is on in the voice search app. Does anyone know where this data is in the dashboard or of a reason why it would not being getting saved? The only thing I can think of is that I have my Web Search History turned off, but those two things seem not to be related. Any help would be appreciated.
Go to: https://www.google.com/dashboard/b/0/?hl=en
Sign in then scroll down to Speech.

Thanks for the response, but my Google Dashboard doesn't have a Speech section. When I go to the dashboard the headings I have are:
Accout, Me on the Web, Profile, AdSense, Alerts, Android devices, Buzz, Calendar, Chrome sync, Contacts, Docs, Gmail, Google+, iGoogle, Latitude, Maps, Orkut, Picasa Web Albums, Play Music, Play Store, Reader, Talk, Tasks, Voice, Web History, Webmaster Tools, and YouTube.
Since my original post I have enabled Web History for searches only. Still nothing.
I have the same issue with a few as well. I just created another contact with their contact information but for the name I used a nickname that it recognized.
If I tell it to call my wife using her name it's hit and miss so I created a contact for her using "my wife" and it calls her everytime. Sometimes you have to be creative.
Good luck and let us know your solution.

I've now made a work around using your suggestion. I went into my Google Contacts and created a new group that I'm not displaying on my phone. I filled this group with the contacts that I have problems with, and updated them with more conventional spellings for their names. Voice Search still has access to these contacts but they don't show up in my phone book. Seems to be the best I can do until I figure out why Google isn't recording my voice searches for personalization...
Personalize speech regonition isnt working
I am having the same issue as the previous posters and it is driving me crazy. Very few people seem to be experiencing this problem or at least very few are posting about it.
I AM able to turn on "personalize speech recognition" via the setting in voice search, but on my google dashboard the speech section is missing and I see no evidence that google speech recognition accuracy is improving in any way. Ive tried clearing the app data and enabling search history without success.
Im running ICS stock rom on an HTC vivid with ATT service. I have voice search 3.0.1. The app store only has version 2.1.4. Id gladly uninstall 3.0.1 and install 2.1.4 from the app store if it would fix this problem but im worried uninstalling voice search could cause additional problems. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
thanks
I can't find Personalized Recognition option in Google search, after this last update?!?

[Q] Looking for routing app

Am familiar with Google map and some other mapping apps. What I'm looking for is something similar that keeps routing notes of business locations. A client provides a product for area retail outlets. Need app that allows notes to be kept for multiple locations where can click on a map, click on business location pinned on map, and be able to edit note/spreadsheet for that location. App would be able to track when last visited a location, items delivered, etc. by doing a quick search and also be able to print. Sometimes these areas don't have access to the Internet so being able to use offline map with notes would be a big plus. Is there an existing map app that has such capability?
