Random reset/applications won't install - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

So I was playing Asphalt lastnight, with pandora radio in background. Then Prime froze for a few seconds then resetted itself, it came back on i tried to resume playing my game but it froze again and the same thing happened.
The second time however, some of my apps wont show up (it says not installed), and when i try to reinstall from Play market it doesn't work.
It gives an error that says "unknown error code during application install:"-24""....
I tried just rebooting, to no avail.
Also the applications that were still installed, I had to re-sign into them.
This is quite bizarre...i don't have any backups, im unlocked, but not rooted, running Energy ROM.
Thanks for your help

anyone seen this FC before?

the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly
it keeps FCing and restarting on its own, make the phone un-usable because everytime i try to press a button, it will freeze, put up this FC, and when i click "force close" it will close what i was trying to open, and the cycle starts over again
i'm stock with the new JI6 update via KIES mini, had no problems for 3 days, and last night the phone ran out of batteries while i was out of the house and when i got back, i plugged it in, turned it on and i got this FC as the phone was doing the start-up media scan thing.
it will show this FC everytime i reboot as well
under settings -> manage applications -> running services there is a service called 'contacts storage' which is governed by android.process.acore
that's the only other clue i could dig out
*edit* mine doesn't seem to have anything to do with facebook, however, i can't access my contacts as everytime i try, this FC will force me out of the contacts screen
I've seen them a lot of times. When I get them, I just re-flash a new ROM onto my phone. It usually happens when I do something stupid to my phone.
i didnt do anything to it! everything was working, even after i updated to JI6 ... nothing was broken till it ran out juice yesturday.
I'll get this when I do a Titanium restore and restore the system data by mistake.
This should be in Q&A not development.
Also, try clearing your caches in Clockwork Recovery

[Q] Abduction! 2 keeps force closing

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of OpenFeint games are acting weird? I noticed with Abduction! 2, if I go to Airplane mode, it will not force close. But, once I have internet access, it starts up and within a few seconds, it force closes. It's attempting to connect to OpenFeint but it won't.
On other games, such as Fruit Ninja, it will connect, but instead of my username, it gives me some weird number as my user ID. I have to open up OpenFeint, tell it to connect as a different user, and then log in under my actual handle. After that, the games will connect fine using my actual username, but Abduction! 2 still crashes unless I turn off internet access.
I'm running on a Droid X2. Yes, it is rooted and it's running CM7. However, I tested this under stock 2.3.4 and Eclipse 2.0.4 as well and the problem still persists.
I've gone and cleared all the data for the game, uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, and the problem still persists. I've even gone and deleted the openfeint directory on my SDcard.
Any ideas? Every time Abduction! 2 crashes, I tell it to send a report, so hopefully there is something there.
Thanks!

Thanks for describing the problem so thoroughly. I'm having the exact same problem on a Galaxy Nexus. The crash stack trace says that it's hitting a ServerException when connecting to openfeint. It skips that request when in airplane mode.

Apps constantly restarting... I9001.

Hi,
I'm a owner of a Samsung Galaxy S Plus (I9001). I have the CyanogenMod 10 installed and also a second partition on my SD Card.
So far so good, I restart my phone everything goes well, even with the second partition. The phone is not particularly fast but I can't blame it as I have lots of apps installed.
What I really don't understand it's when it stays on for some time, without any explanation or visible error my anti-virus starts to restart itself again and again (Avast anti-virus) then everything on my status bar starts to restart itself (Juice Defender and Accuweather). The other issue is the keyboard starts and the closes restarting itself again and again, I can't write anything.
I tried several task killers to see if any app was causing this issue but nothing worked. The only thing that stops this behaviour is restarting the phone, then everything starts working well and for some hours (5-6) then the restarting begins again.
I find myself restarting the phone two or three times per day because of this. And also by restarting the battery looses a lot of it's power.
Any ideas to solve this?
Cheers
I had the same problem. Try uninstalling Avast, reboot your phone, then reinstall it. Worked for me but as for the other apps doing it, I'm not sure.

Click to collapse
I already tried to uninstall and install again. I even changed to Kaspersky a couple of times...same result. This probably has nothing to do with Avast.

Random System Applications failing on the device (Malware?)

It has been almost 2 years since I have this rooted phone, and now it seems to fail.
First the google play store failed, (I have uninstall updates and it worked fine once again) then next gallery has failed, did the same thing above it worked fine again, now was the launcher it's self I once again did the same thing. however, this kept happening on almost system installed apps and a few downloaded ones, untill the com.android.systemui has failed and I can't do anything else other than have to click "OK" on the dialogue box.
I'm clueless what happened on my device, I may have a malware/virus on the device destroying all the system apps slowly.
EDIT:
I tried booting the device into safemode and it seems to work fine.
Now sure what to do next..
Booting the device normally still works, but some system elements like the taskbar is not working right, the lock screen also disappeared and the touch buttons on the device isn't working either.
EDIT:
Booted back to safemode once again and now it's the same as above, taskbar refuse to work right lock screen disappeared and touch buttons remains unresponsive. however, I can brows though the launcher and launch settings up, I just can't go back or to home.

App freezes since update :(

Anyone else had this since the latest stable miui update? The GPS issue arose and had issues with various apps and games causing the phone not to respond, others would hang for ages then work eventually after it kicked back into life.
I went to the developer global ROM to see and the GPS worked but the app hangs still persisted.
I unlocked the bootloader yesterday and put lineage 14.1 on (official). Same issue is persisting. I've formatted the entire internal storage before flashing the latest nightly along with firmware and gapps.
Games such as Crossy road, smashy road, mario run all won't load just sit on a black screen. Dawn of titans however does seem to work.......
Any thoughts?? :silly:
Just tried the Disney version of Crossy road as a test.....loads then hangs on the 1st screen for an age.....then loads to the screen where you have to press the play button......5 app isn't responding messages later (after clicking wait) and finally kicks into life......not sure why all these apps hang for so long then eventually work?
Any options in developer options that may resolve this?
Just reinstalled the original game and eventually got it to load after freezing forever and a ton of not responding messages, then after selecting a gift to open the freezing came back again.....it's struggling with something as works fine during gameplay
No worries found the problem, was the micro SD card it's knackered.....didn't think it would affect the apps and system as there stored on internal memory??
