so it's a placebo. thanks!

I dont know is it placebo but someone with 2 phones can check this carefully.

AW: [Q] [ROM] Bravia Engine 2
Players like Poweramp have their own sound engine which needs no root and makes the difference, e. g. volume boost, which is needed at least in EU countries, where Mother Goose protects us from ear damage, by law.

If you want you can try this because i had no problem with installing this.
so you can see at our own eyes how its working but remeber to do backup and if you want do delete this you just need to restore the backup.
P.S anyone with 2 phones can do this and do some pictures to compare.

Thanks, i will try it

Mw600 with sk17i bad sound...

Hi everybody
I bought the se bluetooth streo headset mw600 to listen to music on my mini pro. Im really dissapointed with the soundquality. It sounds like mp3 with very low bitrate and the bass is just terrible...
I read some test before i purchased them and many people say the sound should be pretty good.
Could it have something to do with my xperia or with the rom?
I have the newest cm7.2 RC1 on my sk17i.
Any help apreciated...

I have mw600 and quality is actually better than my old headphones. For phone, I have Live with Walkman with Hybroman v15.
CM7.2 is not completely stable, it could be the problem.
Try on someone's phone, if it is same. If quality is good, take your phone back to stock and try then.

I couldn't find drivers to connect it with my laptop, so I didn't get it working.
You can try with any other phone, that has Bluetooth and music player. And of course, some songs
Ok, tested it on a old se phone, sounded slightly better but the problem is this phone has no bass boost and the max volume is not as loud as on my mini pro.
Gesendet von meinem SK17i mit Tapatalk
When i listen without dsp-manager settings it sounds much better. But i need some bass in my music
Could there be a problem with the dsp-manager or is A2DP just too weak for that much bass? I dont think its a problem with the headset because when i plug it in directly everything sounds normal...

I recently purchased MW 600 for my Xperia Neo V.
This headset works great with 320kbps song.
Displays song title when playing on windows media player on Win 7 PC .
If you are experiencing sound breakage. Do one thing, first increase the volume and then decrease it. It works to some extent.
After a call ends, the sound gets cracking, i just increased the volume and then decreasing it helps
MW600 with st15i
I'm using SE MW600 with st15i and Samsung Tab 10.1 3G for six months and i am quite satisfied. Extraordinary talk and standby time. Sound quality above average.
My mw600 doesn't display song titles when paired with xperia mini. I'm using rooted ics stock rom. With mod Xperia V Walkman app. Watching on youtube doesn't display as well.
But when paired with blackberry and ipad, it works fine. Could modifications caused this 'malfunctioning'?
Just pair it right.
MW 600 is paired in 2 modes. One for phone calls, the other for A2DP, chek whether you paired it as A2DP device in settings-bluetooth-MW600 settings.

Best rom?

Hi, I'm going to flash a Rom to my sister's s3 so what is the best Rom for battery and performance?
As is my sister phone I need a stable (all working) Rom.
Thank you

CyanogenMod 13
Hello and thank you for using Q&A,
you can try CyanogenMod 13. If she do not need Snapchat, it is the best ROM for our Samsung Galaxy S3. It is quit fast and all is working, expect Snapchat. Instagram video upload is not working too.
If you want this features, you should try a Stock-Based ROM:
Galaxy S III Android Development
There are some great ROMs, which are based on the newest Stock-ROM (Androıd 4.3). If you install CyanogenMod 13, you will have the newest Android Version 6.0.1 and all the new security updates from 01 Februar 2016. For me, AOSP or CyanogenMod based ROMs are the best!
But, if all features should work, stock is the best. Battery life of CyanogenMod 13 is not the best.
Kind regards
Trafalgar Square
So cm13 breaks only video recording or even camera?
As she use a lot photos and video, any idea for a tweaked and a light stock based?
PS I've a 1+2 and couldn't believe to see even here ??

I've used plenty of them. If you are looking for something stable I suggest go on either cm11 or slimkat. Carbon is pretty good too. The best battery performance was on slimkat for me.
If you want some freshness i suggest using cm12 (lollipop 5.1) by archi . Avoid 5.0.x ROMs cause they seem to have many bugs that fixed on 5.1.2

You mean the "Can't connect to Camera" bug?
I'd get CM11+Boeffla Kernel (NG)

Not really. At least not the MTK version of the RN 4.
i wll say almost the same.. i just got my redmi note 4 MTK to replace my samsung Note 3 and at first it sucks at battery. i mean it really suck untill i flash custom rom and that improve. i will say the overall experience will be the same except more bug in the software.
Thx for the replies. I ordered a Note 4 snap dragon anyway. Maybe as a Backup Phone [emoji14]

I think for better performance on xiaomi especially on graphics performance, but for image quality is still good samsung because of resolution and amoled screen. For multitasking I think the same is equally fast and for the sound quality is definitely better on xiaomi as it supports hi-res audio

No they are not equally fast in multitasking. RN4 beats GN4 in multitasking.
Don't replace it. I've just ordered a Xiaomi as a backup phone for my galaxy note 4. Galaxy Note 4 is the best phone I've ever had. My galaxy still runs on kitkat. If your phone is still well, there's no reason to replace it. Trust me. Best whishes

This. If a phone is working there's no need to replace, keep it as a spare or repurpose it. My Galaxy Note 1 is now an alarm + dashcam

I really appreciate your answer. Thank you for that.
I really like GS4 - agree with your assessment. But some things do nag me starting with battery (I have a replacement battery but there are times when both batteries during one day are not sufficient), some lag in processing (managing email, office, onenote) and lack of fingerprint security (security is a big issue for me). All in all, if I could keep size and screen and improve all other points I would switch. But only if I could get a hi-res (sound) replacement (music is a big deal for me) at a "friendly" budget (i.e. non flagship prices).
I've considered MI Max but read some complaints about sound. Redmi Note 4 is listed in some forums as a mini-Mi Max and that was the reason I was considering it. Not anymore thanks to you

[MOD][PORT][N]aptX codec working for Axon 7 (somehow)

https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/mod-aptx-codec-t3521228?nocache=1
I found this thread about the OnePlus 3 aptx working codec, that as Axon 7 does not receive official support for standard AptX. It works flawlessly, at least with my headphones LG Infinia HBS900, but only after turning on/off button on headphones. Check presence of the codec with Catlog. Working only on Android N (BadBoys 3.1 now). It should work with Lineage to, worh to make a try.
Really great news since I'm having 2 LG Tone Platinum that's support AptX HD but does this work on stock android and bootloader locked?
I'm not willing to sacrifice 3 year warranty here in Europe and second one I know there's option to re locked bootloader and get back to stock unofficial through XDA but I'm not having the knowledge and don't want to risk as I never done root or unlocking bootloader since I didn't find any benefit on that.

@paatha13
Why would you sacrifice 3 years 3 years warranty. Zte can only deny your warranty by proofing that there is a software error.. (EU law)
You can revert to stock by reflashing stock rom.

Just go into the link OP posted and download aptx-hd zip from that thread. Flash it in TWRP and you are done.

Thanks. Two more quick questions:
- After a new ROM is installed and everything is wiped, I assume I'd have to flash this again and it's not off safe in some other partition or something?
- How do I know it's working?

-Yes, you need to flash it again as it installs itself on the system partition in the libs folder.
-Just install MatLog from the playstore to access the logs in real time and grant it root access. Then, filter the logs by typing aptx in the filter bar of MatLog. It won't find anything yet until you start playing your music via bluetooth to your paired aptx/aptx HD device.
(You have to start MatLog BEFORE playing the music via bluetooth or it won't find anything!)
It's kind of disappointing ZTE didn't include official AptX HD support on Axon 7 from beginning.
Not everyone prefer wired headphones but a lot of people prefer Bluetooth wireless stereo headset.
But since there's a way of doing it even now I assume ZTE could implement it in future update.

Well let's hope will see support on Axon 8.
Or why not even different HiFi audio protocol like LDAC that Sony offering on their device witch is on par or even better than AptX HD bring.
One thing is sure my next device must include HIFi audio or else not gone take.
As much Axon 8 is brilliant device no HIFi audio no party to me.

Do I also need a custom TWRP?
Has anyone already tried out the aptx-HD-version on their current A2017U or G stock rom?
According to that thread, Lineage OS already supports AptX. Does the device support aptx-hd?
Does This still work on latest Stock Roms like B04 on G version?

Hello folks!
We have the original stock ROM for the Maze Alpha with 6 GB of RAM at last!
You can download it following this link: https://goo.gl/Sc6FDt
It let you access the folder of the Maze Mobile's GDrive account which contains the stock ROM for the Alpha with 6 GB RAM.
In that folder, you'll find the document "1.READ ME FIRST: Tutorial - How to Flash Maze Alpha.docx" which is explicitly related to the Maze_Alpha_V05_20170816 ROM for the Alpha 4GB model, but the instructions basically are the same for the 6GB model.
We have this link thanks to @kimi1465, who sent me the URL of the folder in Maze Mobile's GDrive account one week ago. I bravely flashed this ROM on my device to test it and I can say that all the troubles I had after having flashed the other ROM (which actually is for the model with 4 GB of RAM) disappeared and now my device is strong and very stable, back to life.
I'm writing this post only because @kimi1465 is not enabled to start new threads yet.
Enjoy!
Great ! At last those who flashed their Maze Alpha with the previous ROM meant for the 4GB RAM can now put their worries to rest.
Macro pictures 6 GB
Maze Alpha 6 GB verzion still has problems with photos (macro is bad). It is not the same OTA update as for 4 GB version.
Also. Very low volume on earphone so I can not hear what is somebody speaking.
Thanks for posting ROM for 6 GB verzion.
I think they did not put much effort in 6 GB verzion ROM and there are still problems which are maybe solved in 4 GB OTA.

13.12.2017. Good news: Alpha new OTA update will be sent tomorrow!
Change logs:
1. Front camera sharpness and brightness improved ;
2. Flash light bug fixed;
3. System stability enhanced;
4. Other system optimizations.

Great news!
Let's hope that the OTA will be for 6GB model too.
I wonder what's the "Flash light bug", but in fact I also noticed that now and then it just don't light up. I thought that it was a hardware failure on my device, but maybe not...
They say that front camera bug will be solved. Nothing about two rear cameras. I don not know how to enable macro mode with rear cameras. I have installed 5-6 other camera apps but still I have problems with taking pictures from 10-15 cm distance. For example take a business card and try to focus letters- mission impossible. Letters are blurry. I was suspecting that there are protection stickers on lenses which I did not remove but I can not see it. I think that original package did not have that protective layer on rear lenses.

I never noticed this so far, maybe because I took very few macro pictures. I did some attempt now, and it looks like that 4:3 ratio can focus slightly better than 16:9.
This led me to think that 16:9 ratio is obtained from 4:3 with some digital zoom and side cropping of the image.
While using the 4:3 ratio I could satisfactorily (for me) focus an object at 5-7 cm.

Still nothing from announced OTA.
Two days and nobody says why are they in delay.
I will buy some macro lenses and try to fix my issue with focusing on distance of 7-10 cm.
Update is no..
18.12.2007. still waiting for OTA. Maybe it is not their official FB page? Not sure.
Best (worst) thing is that nobody from offical account/representative did not explain why is OTA in delay and why did they announced it on FB if they were not sure.

I am not an expert but I don`t see much improvement in this new OTA. I did not have problems with Bluetooth before and still I have problem with rear camera (macro is disaster), so Alpha works like before the OTA update. Also, I don`t see Pump Express, PE+ (fast charging ) enabled so.....Alpha works as before. I would like to see list of updates/bug fixes but Mazemobile did not put it anywhere.
