Camera is not saving pictures - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I'm looking for a troubleshooting tip. My camera will snap a picture and the image appears in the gallery preview thumbnail in the camera app, but when I go to the gallery there is no trace of the image. What should I do to troubleshoot this? Everything appears to be working but the image is not saved.
I'm using Jelly Beans Build 10 ROM.

I'm sure you've done the obvious clearing data, permissions etc. If you use a file explorer are the images actually being saved?

Couple questions to ask.
1. Did you choose sd swap?
1b. If yes, when in camera app, does this show up? \/

I chose mostly default options. I didn't sd swap.
Which app should I clear? I've tried several including galeray and camera.
It will save to memory card, but not to phone.

did you stay with Beans stock kernel or go with one of the others? I currently am running no SD Swap and his stock kernel and just checked and can take photos that get saved to the internal memory card.
Just wondering if the other two kernels, since not built for our phone, might cause this. I never save photos to the internal card so never thought to look at this when running one of the other kerels.
Since this only happens when you try to save to the internal memory.
Edit*Should note for anyone else who reads my statement that the kernels are ported to work with our phone, but not written from our stock kernels source code.

Another idea. Have you tried to delete the DCIM folder on your internal and just let the camera make a new one with your first picture?

AndroidMoviesclub.apk in all my folders. Hack?

Ummm, not sure what this is but a file called AndroidMoviesClub.apk is residing in all my sd folders. I will remove them all but not sure what kinda suspicious stuff this is???
Only odd thing I've loaded is a few "S note and s mystory" related apps pulled from the International Note???
Same infiltration wiht my S Note
I too have been infected as of 5/18 with the same apk in multiple, high profile (including notifications) folders. going to need a snapshot of the device to determine when it came aboard and deduce from what.
it does populate itself in some key android permission folders too.
I Have it tooo...
on Saurom but I only found it in etc/vpl. Anyone know what it is? I Googled it and seems to be some sort of Movie Store but I don't want to install it.
I have this too. WTH is this?! Google search doesn't yield anything.
It's from mSpot....att bloatware.

I have this problem too... I put my sd card in my old Droid X and searched it and its on my sd card 633 times in all my files including music... So I scanned my sd with Norton and its clean of viruses but I can't find anywhere how this could've happened... Another weird thing is the size of all 633 of those apks are 0 bytes.. I'm deleting them... Now going to search my onboard memory...

VPL Folder is Bloat
There's a folder in system/etc/vpl that's just full of AT&T garbage relating to "for sale" services like movies... I just moved it to my external SD Card it using Root Explorer - no adverse issues. It did have AndroidMoviesClub.apk among the bloat.
AndroidMoviesClub.apk EVERYWHERE
I notice this file appearing on my device memory even before I root my Note (i717).
I removed some of it. Here is a screen shot I saved.

Good to know i am not the only one (well my mom's phone technically). I found these in almost in every sub folder on her External SD Card but none in the Internal Storage.

odd folder sucking up all my storage space

I recently flashed cm10.1 on my GS3 and now I've got all my internal storage stuck in the storage/emulated/0/android/obb or storage/emulated/legacy/android/obb locations. Under settings it shows total space 12.05gb, available is 668mb but less than 1/4 of the visual bar is full and accounted for. Sd maid is showing the obb folder is holding 11.39gb but no matter what explorers I use it always appears empty. Anyone know how to free up this spae? I can't find anything anywhere about this. Thank you ion advance.
Edit:
Restoring it doesn't free the space up at all. Even tried restoring my backups and the space remains full.

This is happening to me on my Nexus 4, no solution found yet
Same problem
I'm currently having this problem and used the SD Maid app and it says the exact same thing. Did anyone ever find a solution?
Only thing that worked was formatting the internal memory. A restore won't do it, must be a fill format. Feels great to have the space back.
that's because of the previous firmware's data saved on your phones. just perform a full emmc(only internal memory) wipe.

I just did what you said in your thread and it deleted everything on my internal SD Card...
Edit: Although I lost some stuff, it did fix my problem...

No it didn't. If you deleted eveything on your internal sdcard you did not do what I said in my thread
Can you provide me the link to it? I failed to find your solution in your signature....

Internal SD full?...

Hey guys
So for a while now I've been having problems with my internal SD card being overly full and I can't figure out why. Here's a pic of it:

I have CWM installed and I know that takes a lot...but it seems as though it just seems to get more and more full even if I don't do anything. I'm using Camera JB+ to store pictures to my SD card, and all my music is also on my SD card, as well as my CWM backups.
Any ideas? I have tried clearing cache/dalvik after updating CM10.1 but it doesn't change much...
Thanks,
Elliott
What's that misc. over there? 9 GB of crap?
Looks like a bug, nothing in the cm thread?

I have no idea what it is...I've used the "DiskUsage" app but it's majorly confusing...
Install a storage app that can show folder sizes like Folder Size Chart or Storage Analyser etc. Then you can find out what is taking up space.
if you are on cm10.1 nightly then remove viber & lucky patcher if installed.
you might flashed 20130121 nightly... this may help you
see this & this
if this didnt help you go to CM10.1 forum and search there. u will definitely find solution

Go into system/log and delete everything. I got back over 1.3 GB on the 2 GB SD partition.
Thanks but I don't have a system/log folder It's really full now to the point where it won't let me take pictures anymore...have been using 3rd party camera to save to external_sd...but I like the original camera.

My internal sd says 9 gigs is taken up

So I have searched and searched through my phone and I can't find what is taking up all my space. I"m on Nos M7 3.05, android 4.2.2. It created the sd card 0 which is fine but it's like there is some hidden files that are taking up so much space. I was on a older version of nos and did a back up. Flashed this and now I can't find my back up. Can anyone help me?

Well I looked there before, and yes it has my old stuff but nothing in there was taking up that much space. So it was data/media/emulated I deleted media which only had the emulated file there. It broke the rom i was on, but I fixed it with a adb sidload. So now it says I have ten gigs, I guess must have had an hidden back up in there or something.Still missing 5 gigs? I mean at least 3 taken up by the os right?
did you try to erase old backups in the clockworkmod folder?

What you deleted was a symlink to your /0 folder, so you basically deleted your sdcard as 4.2+ sees it, your 4.1 stuff may still be in /data/media. Not all file explorers show it correctly, solid does and I think maybe es might in root mode, otherwise a lot get confused by the symlinking and show your /0 not data/media.
If you don't have solid, there's a trial doe it, give it a try, or other root explorers, and see if you can see inside /data/media.

[QUESTION][GalaxyS2] Questions/Help with internal memory, customized ROM, "true" fact

[QUESTION][GalaxyS2] Questions/Help with internal memory, customized ROM, "true" fact
(1) I need to completely wipe, remove, restore my phone to absolute stock. I am having some weird issues and want a "clean slate" to work off of. I currently have AJK (with custom initd and extweeks), cwm recovery, and cyanogen installed. I want all of it removed and want to start from scratch. What's the best way to accomplish this?
(2) upon completing Q1; I have a very small internal phone memory, somewhere around 1/2gb but I have a 32gb SDcard -- is it possible to format my SDcard to allow it to be used as "phone memory" so I can have more apps installed? I know there is the "move to SD" options, but this is not what I am looking for since this does not work for widget apps. Also I have a difficult time downloading apps without getting the "insufficient space" error via the play store during app installs.
I am so tired of having to uninstall apps just to install or test new ones. There has got to be a way to use my SDcard as phone memory
I have:
- 100mb out of 1.97gb on Internal Storage (/system)
- 7.82gb out of 11.36gb on Internal Storage (/sdcard0)
- 14.84gb out of 29.32 on SD Card (/sdcard1)

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So even if I could combine /system and /sdcard0 to become /system and only have 1 sdcard partition would suffice
(3) is it possible to customize/package CyanogenMod to install NovaLauncher (remove/replacing Trebuch) and SwiftKeyboard (instead of AOSP keyboard), amongst other apps (I have the .apk files) so they are installed by default? Also removing apps like Apollo and DSPmanager.
(4) what are some custom scripts, init.d, extweeks, etc you guys are using that I should look into using to get the best performance, battery life, speeds out of the GS2?
