I just noticed that my led is very faintly lit red when my screen is off.
I even turned it off in the settings and I still barely see it.

If you are like me and go NUTS from the keyboard continually popping up when you are writing and your wrist hits the screen I have a recommendation.
It is called "Invisible Grip" and can be enabled or disabled from the Notification Bar.
What it does is allow you to disable the edges of your screen. If you disable just the bottom when you are writing in Notes this means no more annoying keyboard popups! Yay!
You need the pro version to enable just the bottom and adjust the size. Only a buck so totally worth it.

You could also try an app called Screen Filter.

How does Screen Filter do what this does?
Yikes! Teach me to post while I'm too sore to see straight. The app I meant to mention is Touch Blocker. Still in beta but available here at XDA. Apologies for mentioning the completely wrong app.

Good thing you asked, using the same subject title. I was just about to ask the same question.
Originally I could not see your attachments either, so had no idea you were talking about the same icon, lol...
BTW I wasn't even aware that was the black clipping test picture as my background, it shows up at total black.. HAHA!
This icon has been changed in the new XXBLFB firmwareto something more obvious

Hi, I bought a day ago s3 blue pebble and comparing it with another one of my friends (always pebble blue), I noticed that the brightness of its softkey is much stronger.
Is there a way to increase this brightness?
Nope
Mine is dim aswell. Compared to my GS1 which is bright as the sun.

I have mine turned completely off - I think they make the phone look extremely dated, especially when many devices come solely with on-screen buttons now.

Is under accessibility. Is called talk back
Sent from my SCH-I605 (AKA NOTE 2)
Boy, you're on a roll today, huh?
Turn off talk back in accessibility options.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
If talkback isn't enabled, it might be another issue many of us have encountered. Certain apps such as Liteflow and Popup Notifier, as well as others, can cause this behavior if they are enabled in Accessibility Settings. There is no cure other than uninstalling the app that isn't playing well.

Are you on a stock ROM or AOSP? On AOSP you can change the LED brightness on certain ROMs and if you're on AOSP you can flash Plasma kernel which allows you to tweak with the LED brightness levels as well

I don't know of anything that works on Beans, just that certain AOSP roms will let you and that Plasma will let you. You have to be on AOSP to use Plasma though.
You could check out Lightflow and see if it offers you the ability, I know it let's you change what LEDs flash for each app but I'm unsure if it'll allow you to change the brightness levels.
You could also ask in the Beans 20 thread and see if anyone knows.
