Thought I formatted my external SD card only but I accidently formatted the Internal SD card. Im able to boot into recovery only. Can I transfer a ROM to Recovery from my PC or do I have to use Odin again to recover my phone? Thanks...
sounds like you wiped system. there should be an option in recovery to mount your sd card to your pc and xfer a rom over that way to flash. as long as you can boot into recovery, shouldnt have to redo odin.

plug it into computer
mount usb storage in recovery
transfer rom zip to storage...
you could at least TRY some of the options available in recovery before making a post....

I did go thru all the options but wasn't sure which option was the correct one to use. Plus my USB cable is at work, don't have one at home. But thanks for the help, very much appreciated...

If you have an LG phone, you need to seek help in the appropriate forum. This forum is for a Samsung phone, and we would not have the knowledge to address your issues.

Hey guys, I just flashed over to jellybam and so far its pretty tight. The only issue I came across was my camera. Everytime I hit the icon to bring it up it says that I have no sd card and closes me right out of it. I am currently using a 8gb sd that is fine and not sure what the issue is.
advice?
fyi: i am running s-on
You might try formatting the sd card.

Yeah, back the files up on your pc/laptop. In storage options, it'll allow you to format the SD Card.

ok well before I do that, I am looking through the settings and I do not even see a place where I can format a sd card. Where would I do this?
Are you trying to format the internal sdcard or the external one?

If that doesn't work try other kernel, like Siyah.

That's all it supposed to show in that menu because at that point your disks should have been mounted.
Did you even have your cable plugged in??
If it didnt work its likely you haven't installed the Samsung USB drivers. Just install latest version of Samsung Kies and it will install needed drivers.

i meant mounting it in recovery so that i can flash roms saved in memory card.
i even tried formatting with gui-fat format, still nothing.
If you can't use external sdcard, just use the internal one.

I thought I was doing pretty good with this One being used to the HTC One X . Now a new problem I can't figure out. When connecting usb. It says usb connected. Debugging mode checked. My computer says Android device , My HTC. but it wont show as a hard disk in the computer, It only shows as a portable media player. I can't access the SD card, can't go into Recovery and mount SD card to copy or delete. This just started when I flashed Cognition 1 rom. I had factory on it before and was reading the SD by copying and deleting roms to the card. Any backup I make in recovery and rename , it still has a label as factory rom.
Windows 8,
unlocked , rooted, TWRP recovery v 2.5
I have a folder on the SD card labeled "Roms" where I put the Rom zips to flash in recovery and can't find that now either. In settings , under storage there is "mount usb storage " as greyed out. I have deleted HTC sync. Deleted drivers, reintstalled drivers and back to where I was before. Any help ?
Try rebooting computer

At least you offered something even if it didn't work. I can't figure out why it was working fine, then nothing. I can get to the"portable media player" thru my computer and all is recognized but the SD card wont show or be able to mount in recovery.
Yea I haven't ever had that issue yet lol if I find anything I'll post it here for ya maybe @gunnyman may have some insight he's been around the HTC block before

Only thing I can think of is try cwm recovery instead of twrp

If you get stuck, I always choose sideloading because that doesn't require access to the phone storage.

I haven't got stuck yet to the point of no return. I tried using CWM no difference. Tried calling HTC. they offered no help. For some reason I just made another folder for roms and presto there is the folder. When in recovery I see the "rom" folder and whats in it, but connecting to the PC there is no folder except now the one I made. When I go back to recovery there is only one "rom" folder but I can also see what I put in it before making the new folder and adding to it. Still can't mount the SD card in recovery tho.

Never call support... Absolute uselessness in that solution. Just install from zip to get the boot.
I was flashing new rom and recovery said error 07 , so i want to reboot my s3 and get a latest CWM version.
then my s3 got a boot loop. can't boot into download mode and reboot device. it boot into recovery automatically.
I wipe all things.
Now i can't mount internal sd card. how to flash s3 stock rom?

hi
i installed a new rom and didnt like it so i want to go back to my old one. i did a nandroid backup before but now i cant access the sd card from my pc.
i want to but the backup on it to then flash it from the recovery. all that is left on my phone is the recovery and it seems like i can not put any files on the sd card from my pc without a rom
That's correct. Unless you have a recovery that allows you to mount storage as a USB device you will have to use an external sd card, insert it into your PC and copy the backup then put it back into your phone then go to recovery.
Oh no
I dont have a sd card reader. I can only write and read the sd card via my phone.

If I'm reading it correctly, the latest TWRP (2.8.4.0) has support for external storage (Look at the changelog for MTP support).

Note that I haven't personally tested this feature yet.
