Hi, please in case I am in the wrong place do not blame at me, just inform and I'll stop to bother.
My problem:
HTC desire V bought on 2012 in Russia from offcial HTC center.
I am in Istanbul for work and my phone automatically updated software to 1.73.401.4
Since then continuous and random reboot usually when working (during the nigjht rarely happen). I already reset to factory default but no result.
Even being a total newbie I suspect there is something related to the geographycal area of phone. Am I right? Is there anything I may do to solve the issue which is creating me a lot of troubles?
Thanks in advance to all and sorry if I am wrong.
Orazio
Mine used to reboot all the time, updating to 1.73.707.1 stopped this and it's been fine ever since.

HI there
I bouught a 2nd hand X10 Mini Pro for my daughter before Christmas and before I gave it to her I upgraded it to the latest Android 2.1 SE firmware using SEUS.
She loves the phone, size, keyboard etc but is encountering a really irritating problem where the phone will randomly switch off in her pocket or (occasionally) in mid phone call. Sometime it retsarts itself after this, sometime it will restart when she hits the power button and occasionally it will hang completely requiring a battery pull before it will come back on. The phone can go days at a time without restarting once and then restart 3 times in 5 mins.
Dear love her, she's not lost her temper with the phone once, and really wants to keep using it but a school friend has the X10 non-pro version and her's has never played up once.
Googling suggests this is not an unknown problem for users but turns up no clear solution.
My question(s) then are:
1. Anyone else encountered this problem?
2. Is it likely to be a hardware problem? (battery replacement likely to help?)
3. Would dropping back to Android 1.6 sort this? (reliability is more important than other considerations)
3. (Hopefully) Can someone suggest a custom Rom which solves this problem completely or helps minimise the number of restarts and gives her some renewed bragging rights over her increasingly smug school friend?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
thanks
Some people did encoutered similar problems with rebooting.
Hardware by itself might be failure, but can't confirm that, it's not always hardware fault.
You could try to take out a battery out temporarily and put it back.
Dropping to 1.6 isn't that useful, as it's older version and it will be less compatible with apps. Though, it should fix some problems, but I can't confirm that, so you shouldn't try it yet.
You can try MiniCM7Pro v21 Custom ROM by paul-xxx. However, you need to know how to Root your phone and how to install Recovery (ClockworkMod) and installing ROM itself, and additionally backup in some case. Note: It will void your warranty if you have one.
If you have warranty for second-hand phone (I actually have still valid warranty for mine), you should send it to their repair service, but still backup everything.
However, before actual rooting, you should first try factory reset or if that doesn't help, then use Sony Ericsson Update Service or PC Companion to wipe your phone by completely resetting it. Note that you will lose all data with that (except SDcard, but backup should be recommended in any case), so you should backup everything first!
If it doesn't help, check around this X10 mini forum sticky threads just in case and don't do something if you aren't sure how to do it.
hello friends. this is my first post because i got a problem with my xperia mini pro.
i have to tell you it from the beginning because i think it is important to understand where is the problem. it was about some moths ago when i had problems when my phone was in standby and someone called me, it happened sometimes that my touch screen didnt responded and i couldnt take that call and had to restart phone. after restart it was ok. it didnt happen so often but with tim (i think another month) i happened maybe once every day. and maybe a month after that i first got stuck during i was doing something in my phone - not in locked state. sometimes didnt helped even one restart so i had to remove battery for a while but after that it was fine. at least for a while. i think that problems with touchscreen (or maybe better with digitizer) happened almost every day. i tried also reflash some custom rom i used before but it didnt help. so it got into state when touchscreen stopped working and i was very happy when it started to work for a while. it happed sometimes after factory reset in android service menu and once after many times reflash of rom and kernel but only till next restart. i also locked bootloader and gave there stock rom and many times reflashed stock rom but nothing helped now.
Lets say i also tried some advices in that that tutorial about 10 different way to repair bricked touchscreen. but i am not sure if it is actually hardware or software issue. it is very important to aim my effort. i dont know if i shouldnt buy some whole touchscreen+lcdf or just digitizer for sk17i on ebay or on the other hand try to solve software issue and reflash, restart, reset bricked touchscreen.
i dont have much experience like some guy in mobile phone service. in my mobile service they told me it is hardware issue and they will repaire it but it is very expensive from them. but i dont believe that guys at all so i write here.
My phone is after the warranty so i got an idea to buy sopme used sk17i with a warranty, change display with mine and give it into the mobile phone service where they will change the touchscreen for free and i could sell that both phones after that. i dont want that xperia anymore. but this can only work if it a hardware problem
so what do you think guys?
thanks for your advices

If you did a clean flash with stock rom & that didn't helped than its an hardware problem!
But you are luck if your touch is miss calibrated or its an overheating issue.
Do your mini's soft buttons starts pressing itself?
Go have a look here
[solved]
i solved it with new lcd + digitizer from ebay and made some manual assembly. my phone now works great, so i suppose problem was caused by hardware

Hey bro's just today I got my new HTC one x+ and I had ordered it online so it's an international unlocked phone. The phone is on android 4.1 and sense 4+ (stock and not rooted) so I checked for software updates but it said the phone is already up to date and no updates are available , though I guess HTC has rolled out 4.2.2 sense 5 for one x+ (right ?) . Also, I've noticed the phone stays connected to WiFi and yet the pages won't load, sometime WiFi just disconnects, though the internet is working just fine on my other phone . Further the apps from play store too take a butt load of time to start downloading and often get stuck midway while downloading. So guys would u suggest to get the phone checked up at HTC for manufacturing defects Or have some of you faced similar problems but have rooted and used custom Roms (if so which ?) to solve it. My phone isn't in for hardware warranty and I'm sorta noob at this stuff so please take this into consideration too. I'll be really grateful for your help
My advice will be basic but may be efficient:
Have you tried to factory reset your phone? If you bought a used or refurbished device, this may help.
I'm from Europe and have an unlocked version and can confirm that the update finished rolling out early September + I never experienced any of your problems.
You would also check if you have those download problems on both Wi-Fi and 3g. If so, this may be a hint of some sort.

Hi,the reason of this is to ask about a problem that I have with a Lg G2 mini, I have 2 days with it and it restarts randomly.
I think the problem may be the last software upgrade because the first day I had no problems, the sim card maybe bad cut and not making good contact. I don't know. Somebody whith the same problem?
Sorry for the bad english. Thanks.
If you recently install an update try to perform Factory data reset under settings. Check if that will help. Take note that once you perform the data reset all your phone data will be erased, so make sure to make up a backup before performing it.

Happens constantly here.. even after hard reset/factory reset... no solution. No widgets on homescreen or lock screen.
More or less given it up and gonna sell it to someone that loves reboots :cyclops:
Known Problems
Mine also does this and I've narrowed it down to a few things: 1. When the phone overheats greatly and stops functioning properly, this could be the cause. 2. Is it restarting when your are using it? Because if not and it is in your pockets or bag then power off button gets pushed down easily and may switch off your phone. 3. It might be a app that is crashing (???) Like the other guy said, try factory reset it :fingers-crossed:
Hello XDA,
I am coming straight to the topic, my sister has HTC DesireV (India) this phone was working well for a year and now its causing the same problem as other HTC devices has, the "RANDOM REBOOT PROBLEM". I searched over and found that keeping the phone over GSM only solves the problem as its a baseband problem but pone still reboots randomly.:crying:
Whenever this happens i immediately check the phone and battery for overheating but both of them feels normals and not heated. To make sure its not a software problem i flashed stock rom after unlocking and flashing CWM but still the same issue, is anyone facing the same issue please report here or tell me if there is any solution to this.
Thanks!
