[Q] Phone Donor information - HTC EVO 3D

Hello, does anyone suggest a link for Phone donor requirements, legality, etc? I am trying to flash my Evo 3d and I have a broken MetroPcs phone as a donor but I want to know more about it and if I can even use a broken phone as a donor, etc.
Thanks

[Q] Getting EVO 3D on Boost PAYGO Help

ESN Swap Legality Discussion here < Swap Legal - Cloning Illegal is what i get from it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433566
Alright i have a Boost Mobile PAYGO account and i do not use data at all. I use WIFI when i need it. I'm currently using a HTC Touch Pro (no data as i said) and also have a Samsung Factor and Motorola W385 just laying around. What would be my best course to take in swapping the ESN and info from 1 of those 3 phones to my recently acquired HTC EVO 3D?
All i would need to do is swap the ESN and MEID since im not planning on using data....right?
Would the HTC Touch Pro be the best Donor Phone for me to use since its already in use and a HTC product?
I have the EVO to 3D guide (for Incognito and Rant) but would just appreciate the help on getting the info from the old Touch Pro.
Any help would be appreciated. Just need guidance guys. Thanks
Any help guys?
All i need to do is swap the ESN and MEID right? I'm not using Data so nothing else is needed......
I just really don't want to make a mistake and kill the "new" to me EVO 3D.
A PM would be fine if you don't want to be part of the public thread. I just need a little guidance. Thanks
Alright i've gathered just about all the information i needed to do this by way of searching google and help from other forums.
I was actually able to get my data working on the Touch Pro so now im thinking of doing the complete swap.
I only have 1 final question. When i go to get the NV Item data from my HTC Touch Pro donor phone do i read and save the data from 465, 466, 1192 and 1194 just like the Incognito, Rant and other donor phones? I mean are those numbers (or memory positions that holds the phone's data) from the Memory universal meaning they apply to any and all Donor Phones? thanks.

[Q] Verision HTC Thunderbolt to Straight talk

I'm new to this phone thing, since "96" I've been building,& repairing, computers. I guess you could say I'm an advanced novice with a lot of intrest in phone software and programming. Anyway I have a Verision HTC Thunderbolt I'm attempting to convert over to straight talk, I've purchased a sim from straight talk and have it installed in the thunderbolt & throught straight talk I have my number transferred to the sim. I've tried various software to unlock & s-off but when it come down to it, it doesnt communicate with the phone. I have had some success with CMDA Workshop "demo verson" in getting my phone # in the phone. but knowing what info I need to imput and where I can find info has been my problem so far, Or is CMDA Workshop the tool I need to be using to achieve transfer to another carrier and reconizing the new sim? I know I can take it somewhere and have it done, but thats not learning anything for me. Is there any of you willing to help me with some guidence?

[Q] anyone know current qpst metropcs settings?

I have an evo 3d with donor phone meid set, but i followed some metropcs qpst settings and i flashed accordingly, but im still not able to get even
Phone service. I get an error when i call out ur phone is not authorized. Does anyone know the current mdtropcs qpst settings?
Its weird because I used a 4g PRL from my gf's metro phone and I wrote that PRL to my sprint EVO and now internet works, but I cant get texting or calls to work. Maybe the MIN number?
Ok, I FINALLY get it working! Christ what a pain.
Anyways, for anyone interested to know what I did if they run into same problems, is I used QPST (followed how to flash metro pcs EVO 3d/EVO4g guide. The trick is getting a donor phone, rewriting your sprint phones ENS to donor phone and getting the MIN number.
I followed a guide on getting the internet to work, but 4g doesnt work.
If you guys have a question PM me and i can send u link for the guide. Thanks

[Q] IMEI

Hey everyone,
I do not roam in this forum, ever. As you might see I don't have an EVO LTE, as much as I would want to.
Here's the thing. I want to see if I can get a good condition EVO LTE to hold me off for 6 months to a year so I can use my Desire for testing ROMs only. It would have been easy except for 2 things: a) I am in Canada so I have to ask TELUS whether it will work on their network; b) it's a CDMA phone. TELUS has CDMA network, which may help.
So I got an email back from TELUS support pointing me to this page http://mobility.telus.com/en/BC/phones-and-devices/devicecompatibility.shtml?eVar6=link. He asked me to input an IMEI and that would see whether it is compatible with the TELUS network.
So I'm trying to find an EVO LTE IMEI, but... I'm almost afraid to ask, but can someone point me in the direction of one? Is the IMEI an extremely, extremely private thing? The kind of thing that if it falls into the wrong hands, it can wreck your phone? Because this would help me greatly, but if it's supposed to be private and secure like that, then I'm fine without.
Sorry if I sound like a noob, I've just never had to deal with the serials and IMEIs except in S-OFFing my Desire, during which you have to provide a serial number (I practically have it memorized by now).
Thanks guys.

Your IMEI is extremely sensitive information. someone who gets it can mark it lost or stolen and literally make your phone a brick. on top of that they could switch it to their account ( fake person ) and make an claim for it being lost. i sell cellphones for a living and many people try that. do not give it out unless your on the phone with legit customer service.
Plus that link has no https:// secure on it. i wouldnt trust it.
IMEI is private and you shouldnt have one less you own the device...
Closing this thread before it tailspins into the wrong direction...

[Q] Is it possible to flash HTC One Max to another CDMA network?

Hello all,
I just got a Verizon HTC One Max and having a hard time flashing it to my CDMA network here. Is this possible at all? I've tried the methods I know of, with the tools I know of yet it doesn't seem to take anything written to the phone; it also always reverts back to RUIM_Only when it should stay at NV_ONLY which I set it to in order to accept writes to phone. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks all.
