I posted in general but no one is answering so I'll try here too. I am looking for a replacement part for my Evo View 4G. It is the grey flex cable/ribbon that connects the display to the board. I only found one website that has is but the seller doesn't have a price up or is answering my emails.
It doesn't matter if it's for the HTC flyer or the Evo View 4G, as both parts are interchangeable (I installed an HTC Flyer digitizer into an EVO View 4G and it works).
Maybe someone has a dead tablet for parts or something I'll pay for the part and shipping. I just don't want this tablet to go to waste.

I can't seem to find a flex cable that comes without the screen.

It's priced at 75$, in my opinion, I'd rather buy a broken Flyer/View. Found some listings on eBay.

Hi,
I am currently in contact with HTC after filing a complaint about the pen causing scratches on the screen.
They just mailed me that was impossible, and told me I was probably using the wrong side of the pen (.....)
I am curious if any of you experienced the same problem, I'll email them.the link to this topic so they can see it for themselves, instead of them calling me a moron
Thanks in advance,
Micha

Thnks sci, I guess my forum search skills fail
I scanned all the forums before purchasing mine, there is another case awhile back where the pen chipped the screen. Tablet and pen were sent to HTC, they were able to reproduce the problem and covered it under warranty. Overnighted a new one.

I put the Zagg invisible shield on mine and pen still works fine. I put the full coverage on. It was like 30 bucks at zagg.com. They installed it at the corporate office here in Utah! My pen works fine and no problems with screen, best of all it stays protected!

I'm not sure, there is a tear down guide in the accessories forum, I've never tried taking mine apart, there's glue and a lot of ribbon connectors, untiI I get a spare phone I'm not gonna risk it.

Has anyone found a site or know where I can order parts for this phone? I would like to replace the back housing and it looks easy and straight forward. I tried searching on google but no luck.
Is it possible to get housing parts from a Sprint store that does repair?

Cracked the screen so I'm looking for a new replacement. Doesn't seem to be much out there right now. How is the quality on these replacement screens? Are they virtually the same screen as HTC's?
Edit: A bit cheaper at $129. Seems to be the entire outer case with screen, casing, and battery - http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-EVO-LTE...=774358091691373252&pid=100033&prg=1011&rk=1&

Same here. But I was also hoping a company would start selling 3rd party replacements with different colors or designs already printed on them.
Found this white housing for $150

Well I dropped my phone 2 feet out the car door and the glass smashed. Ugh! Seems that the phone is pretty new so the only option I can find to get it fixed is to send it back to HTC.
Anyone got any other suggestions? Links? Cause I'm coming up dry and getting it done is $$$.
Either you can repair yourself, send it into HTC to get it repaired or you can send it to a phone repair place.

True.
HTC wants Min $199 and 4 - 6 weeks to repair the glass.
I can't seem to find the parts or a DIY article for the phone.
So far no luck talking to Phone Repair. They don't have the parts. Going to keep looking but if you know of a place or two please let me know.
In theory wouldn't the glass panel from an HTC One X (original) work? They are the exact same size and form factor. Don't know about the LCD (same specs but not sure about connectors inside) but the glass panel should work.
That would be good news for me but I have not found that to be true or false yet.

Pretty sure there was another thread that confirm this the displays are identical as long as the connectors are the same it should work I don't see why not

Is there any specific LCD I should get? I see some on eBay for cheap but they are unbranded. Are they the same quality?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
I would go with an actual repair site. Better quality. Plus you can contact them if you run into any trouble

I know from the one xl forums it's super hard to seperate the LCD and digitizer..a lot of people over there ended up buying both together...

200 to 250 from some idiot..
are there any other models that would fit like the e973?
my lcd is fine and i have heated the old touch screen off
But if i have to buy both thats fine (lcd and Digitizer)
can someone point me in the right direction. i would love you forever

No, haven't had too. Knock on wood.

First off; there is no need in you posting the same question more than once, minutes apart.
Here is some info:
from etradesupply: [Here] $61.64 for only the Digitizer
This eBay item was sold, but if you contact the seller, they may be able to set up another one for you!
from ebay: [Here]
I understand most people prefer not to spend money on items off of eBay or Amazon, but they have it cheaper than anywhere else. Most of the electronics you buy off eBay are from China (Cheaply made), but that "idiot" you got a quote from, probably bought the screen of eBay and is trying to make a $150-$200 profit off of you.
Might be easier getting another og.
I picked up one today on Craigslist for 160
