[Q] Remapping the "search softkey" to "show recent apps" in Jelly Bean
Hi,
I've got a Mobistel Cynus T1 with JB 4.1.1, stock rom, root and cwm 6 recovery.
I'm trying to remap the search softkey to the "show recent apps" function.
I already found some tutorials on ICS like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21501238
My problem is now, that by changing the keylayout files the softkeys don't react anymore.
The java file I can't even find.
Apps like ButtonRemapper can only identify the hardkys.
I hope, you can help me.
Regards,Sebastian

one of the things I want to do is just disable the over the air update, I went as far as trying to install it just to get rid of it, knowing it might brake my root. but it errors out on the install blocked by the root. and then a few days later it comes right back prompting me for the download. I searched around the net suggestions say bloat ware software I and titanium backup pro, I tried them both I have copy of titanium backup pro. anyway I hope someone hare can help me, I am sure there is an easy fix for this. please help
Go to settings -> apps, scroll right to the "all" tab, search the software update service, tap it and in the next screen tap "disable".

I just bought a used Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3113. It was rooted with CWM 6.0.1.1 and Android 4.1.? Jelly Bean installed. I don't know exactly what I did in the CWM recovery menu but now my home screen is completely black and a lot of functions do not work. I can not open any apps or swiftkey keyboard, enable wallpaper, calculate storage space, etc., etc.
I can access the settings menu and app manager. All my apps are still there, including the ones I installed yesterday. My unlock PIN is there and works and my "If lost call..." message is still on the lock screen.
Please help. I just want to go back to using jelly bean and accessing my apps.
Looking for support.. Bought a new Android 4.2.2 table for it's Multi-user capability. Unfortunately the User menu is missing from the settings menu. The tablet is an Eken GC10x. I believe ROM may be Wing-K70?? It's been rooted, but still no User menu option.. Not sure what's wrong. Anyone have a recommendation?
Hi i just got a new phone ..a karbonn titanium s5+ (android 4.2.2.) and i wanted to replace some of the stock apps like dialer, messaging and launcher, but i have not realize that deleting these programs from the system will be forever. after some glitching with the status bar and nav. bar(transparency not working) i did a hard reset to have all stock but ..as you figured it out i did a very bad thing the stock launcher disappeared so the dialer and messaging. i have tried to install the stock launcher and the others ( i downloaded the stock rom and got them from there) but it shows me "app not installed". i use a alternative launcher i made it system app. My problem is that i dont have transparent nav bar and status bar. i have tried with gravity box but it dose not change anything. I have read on other posts that i should use adb to insert them back but i dont know how to. Please HELP. and thanks for your time.
