Erm, sorry don't understand what you asking..
If you're asking if there is any loss by locking it with "restore" option, then no. No side effects.
Ok, so that means its hassle free nd completely safe will not lead any future issues like will not break the installed unlocked ROM configuration.
Nd we will able to do future OTA without bricking our phone.
That's a gud news.
Thanks Mate:thumbup:

I recommend you first flash stock ftf before re locking. Don't relock when your phone has any other kernel except stock.

I have Neo V used test point method 10 months back to unlock my device as now my phone completed a year so here warranty period laps..
Just curious to know is there any benefit to officially unlocking my device?
If yes, is it necessary to lock my device using "S1 Tool" before unlocking it officially?

Lolz!
Its generally the other way round that people ask
As in Is it beneficial to unlock unofficially
Anyways to answer you,no nothing fancy in unlocking officially!
You're better off with unlocked bl that too via testpoint!
There's just need for Unlocked bl -Be it anyhow you do Either official or unofficial...
Still,
If you're doing official unlock ,you need to be on stock fw if I'm not wrong and yea, with a locked bootloader Ofcourse

LOL
Just for the curiosity
I guess its better to b unlock unofficially because it preserve the DRM keys so software like Track ID still works
Anyway Thanks Bro

If your mobile was neo it surely stucks because neo system partition is less compared to neo v..
Rom size is too big that's why

The issue is steroid gb is gb rom
Viper is ics rom.
For ics rom to boot u require an ics kernel.
And u using stock gb kernel.
Flash stock ics kernel via flashmode. Google it ull find the ftf file for .587 kernel. Keep in mind u jst need .587 kernel ftf not .587 whole firmware ftf

Succesfully flash .587 Kernel for my neo v but still its stuck at sony logo??

Then flash neo v ftf firmware file. Root it and install recovery. Then perform full wipes and install rom.
