You shouldn't start a new thread for that... There's plenty of threads that answer your question. You just have to use the search box... :silly:
I'll answer your question this time but please next time search the forum before you post something
First thing you need to know, Stweaks configuration depends on what kernel you are on (dorimanx or siyah are the only kernels that support Stweaks app).
If you're on dorimanx I'll just suggest you to leave it as it is, otherwise you'll get your phone freeze/reboot/SOD (f**ked up if you prefer xD). read the thread if you really want to change the settings (link is here).
If you're on siyah, there's a great thread about how to have a "better battery consuming" settings here.
That should be enough to start your forum life here on xda once again, don't forget to search before you post because you're just making the moderators clean up what your laziness did x)
Edit: Oh... I see that a moderator have moved your tread to the correct session^^ good then

thanks for the siyah link dude

vuassMOD_NewGinger ROM

I like to begin with THIS IS NOT MY WORK the credit and thanks for this build belongs to VAUSS, thank you
This is posted on spanish talking forum HTC Mania and i have asked Vauss if it was ok to put it up here. I flash my phone alot and have tryed most roms but i always end up here on vaussMod again. Its fast and smooth and very nicely themed.
Please check it out and remember i didnt build it and wont act as a link to the dev.
Vauss is very active in his thread for the build and leaves great support and answers question there.
The roms name is VaussMod_NewGinger,spelled the title wrong sorry Vauss
Link:http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=238385
Little confused about where to post this, if its general or this new dev section or the old one so Mods please move if it been placed in the wrong forum.

The link is a link to a thread not a download link. Try it there it is screens and changelog.
i didn't find screenshots for this rom
Its in the there in the text in OP i think it links to his KF3 build thread it has the same theme. If im wrong just check vaussMod 1.7 KF3 thread on HTCMania
You might want to do a little better job for that first post 'cause in my opinion now this thread is useless.
No information of that rom at all etc.
All of us can't read spanish you know

If you dont get translated just bloody copy the text and put it in google translate.
And as i wrote in OP i dont give support or answer questions about this as its not my build. If you dont find it inetresting enough to look it up than leave it. It was just a link to a build i`ve been using and always liked.
ok translated with google translate and found quite a lot of info about this rom, looks interesting, infact all the info is there and google did translate almost all of it, downloading now, will give some feedback. Thanks for the link, all the best.
Ok here is some feedback if any one want to try this rom.
Very smooth, fast and above all battery drain is very very reasonable well uptill now but after using for a few good hours I will be able give a good feedback on this. Rom is very nicely themed as well in blue. Drop down has 6 widgets including the data toggle, advance power menu, hope this helps.

Just seems like another KG1 modded ROM... Good for people who like fully bundled ROMs.

[Q] What is BLN?

Hi,
This might be a noob question, but what the hell is BLN? Everyone includes it in ROMs/kernels and talk about how awesome it is, but noone explains what it is (I searched, but found nothing). So please enlighten me .

BLN stands for Backlight Notification.
When a user missed a call/sms/ (i can't remember if emails are included), the Menu and Back buttons will stay lit when the screen is at rest, as a reminder that you have something outstanding on your screen.
right, but on the SGS2 its buggy and works only with certain kernels. But the guys working on it

Oh, so the new kernels now support a UK community of entrepreneurs, Beam, Longest & Neff L.C.C., a US Business Leadership Network, the Bicycle League of Norman, the BlackListed News, a Berlin based internet radio, the Brock Learning Network and a Jahcoozi song? Now that's quite extensive support, kudos the amazing devs to have that pulled off....
@tshoulihane
You kno, I googled this question and this thread is what came up. So thank you op for having the presence of mind to ask because there is no quick answer other than this thread
If you're interested in BLN & have a compatible phone check out Siyah kernel.
Supports BLN without Wakelocks.

[Q] - SetCPU Governor Selections Disabled

Sorry I wanted to post this in faux's kernel thread but it looks like I don't have enough posts yet.
I tried searching but I could not find an answer for this.
In my SetCPU, the governor selection (scaling) is blank and disabled.
Any clues on as to why this is? I'm on an Atrix running CM7 and the 1.3 faux OC kernel.
Thanks
Search is your friend
You may not be able to post, but your search should still work in the dev forums.
Pretty sure you'll find your answer in one of those posts.
*EDIT* I know you said you searched, but sometimes narrowing it down to a specific forum or thread will greatly improve your results. I know searching from the main Atrix forum can be pretty useless.

Haha, that's too perfect. The broken link was just search results for "governors" in Faux's kernel thread. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be difficult, just wanted to get you accustomed to that search button . Tegra2 uses Dynamic Frequency Voltage Scaling in lieu of governors. Here's a post from faux from way back in July.
(Hopefully that one will stick.)

Best rom is the one that you install on your phone and then go ahead and do some research regarding kernels and cpu apps like Setcpu or Voltage Control play around with them and test it for yourself. No point other people telling you what rom is best to go for and etc. Cause i could suggest you something and you might come back and say blah blah man you suggested this rom and the drain is stupid why the **** you suggested it to me and so on.
So go into the original development and there are few roms there. Read the first pages and then try and read like the last ten pages of a rom thread you like the look of and see what people say and you can get your answer there.
Also top right there is a search button..Use that to for getting answers to any questions you have or even better use google... Not having a go just telling you what other users will come and say to you as well
The best rom is the rom you test to see how it works for you. No two SGS2's come out of the factory the same (variance in components/"quality" thereof), no two users have the same phone setup and no two users have the same usage patterns.
In other words, check the development sections of the boards for the various threads devoted to the different roms. Read up about the features/pros/cons for each rom, and the different experiences other users have had with the rom. Ask questions if necessary in those threads (Not "how do I save battery/make my battery last longer, however ).
In other words, pick a rom and try it out for yourself
I'm betting (being a betting man and all ) this thread is not long for this world i.e it's getting closed soon-ish.
For you? Stock.

I was just going to post the same as the guys above.
ROM's work differently on different handsets (that may have the same model number), because you're going to have different software installed than the next guy. You have to do your own homework!!
Imagine asking 10000 people which flavor of ice cream you're going to like best. That's the same. Those people can't tell you which flavor you're going to like best because they don't know exactly what you like.
Good luck. Try stuff out...
Hi deepmob,
I appreciate you posting this in the correct section, but as our Senior Members have so eloquently put it, just try them until you find one that works. There is no "best".
With that, thread closed.

4.2.2 - which ROM?

Hi,
I currently have HellyBean installed, but my phone heats up even when I open e.g. Chrome, which greatly affects battery performance and performance in general.
I'm now looking for a new ROM and Kernel, but can't decide. It should be slim, 4.2.2 and should provide good general and battery performance.
I would be thankful if you could recommend me one (I was taking a look at SuperNexus, don't know if that's a good one.)
Aokp mr1 milestone 4.2.2 slim and stable.
This is indirectly like a "what's the ebst ROM" thread, which is against the rules to post such threads.
If you wnat to know the "best" then flash several 4.2.2 ROMs and find out.
Reported this thread. This is the post im referring to <- Recommended you read it.

Thank you very much, but I was asking which ROM each of the guys who respond can recommend and if SuperNexus is one you would recommend. I read the thread you linked and it doesn't apply here. I have tried many, many ROMs, but haven't found the one that suits best for me (fyi, there are too much ROMs to try out, I don't have that much time ).
If you came here to help, please do so, but if you came here to play police, please leave.
I recommend stock GB with speedmod kernel. Its the best combo and Ive tried rootbox and supernexus.
Ive found with each custom rom that there always seem to be a problem or two, also built in things I cant change.
But Im too pernickity.......

Pal, I just wanted recommendations for one or more ROMs which are best for me, not the best ROM. The trying-out-part still has to be done by me, ok? Please stop this, really, you make this forum look like a bureaucratic jungle.
That's the point, you wanna hear 2765 opinions so you can say "oh yeah...that could be the one i'm looking for" when you can easily read the ROM threads of every single ROM suggested here.
Either way, you need to try em all.

People are giving you advice for your benefit. If you carry on with your attitude youll end up getting banned etc.
Does your advice apply to the mods here.....stay away if your not helping.
No-one knows which rom suits you the best, you have to try them yourself to find out.

Look, I am thankful for your advice and I will try it out, and I sure know that you can only recommend me ROMs, but not tell me which exactly is the one I need, but that's not what I asked.
While I understand what you're asking the issue is that every user has different needs when it comes to their phone and what may work best for one person may not be the same for another. It's best to read some of the threads in the dev section and make an educated descision based on your particular needs.
