Hello,
I rooted my samsung galaxy Y pro duos (GT-B5512). Everything was working fine. But then I made a nandroid backup using Online Nandroid Backup application from play store. And after that I came to experience a problem (such as sometimes the microphone was not working in only outgoing calls).
So I hard reset my mobile. By using the hard reset code : *2767*3855#
And after that everything went wrong. My wifi is not working. Also there was no network in any of my sim. I tried to search for networks but it failed.
I couldn't do anything, so I formatted my mobile again.
Now the sim 1 has got network but wifi is still not working and sim 2 is not getting network.
Please help me. I want my mobile back to the position when I made my nandroid backup.
I don't how to use that backup. The backup is located in : /sdcard/backups/cloclworkmod/backup/My nandroid backup/
Here there are several files : boot.img, onandroid.log, nandroid.md5, efs.rfs.tar, chache.rfs.tar,data.rfs.tar, system,rfs.tar.
Please please please help me.... I am begging you.. Please help me..
Install clockworkmod recovery in your phone (if not done yet). You can google with your mobile name to findout how to do this. Then boot into recovery and go to the backp/restore section. then go to restore and choose the nandroid backup you have and flash it.

Thanks for your reply.
But as stated earlier wifi is not working and also I can't use my mobile network.
How can I install it?
Find the apk with a PC then copy it to your phone and load it from a file explorer. Or boot the phone to recovery, you'd have to Google that though as I have no idea how to do that on your phone.

the help is much appreciated as I had been hacking at it for two days. it was not easy finding the firmware but I eventually found it and it is now backed up in a safe place with a proper name. Tablet is running like brand new. although I like my new Nexus 7 a lot more. learning that I just had to install the firmware and not a ROM made all of the difference. I was about to give up but I have never given up in the past and I'm not about to start. I was a little more patient but I was finally able to get it back up thanks to your advice.

You can go for either one of them...i use cwm but its personal choice..now how yo flash cwm on your phone..just search the forum with your phone name..every detail is out here..you just have to search.after flashing cwm just take a backup of your current rom to be safe in case something goes wrong and flash a new one.search for custom roms for your phone in the forum. The procedure for flashing it will be written there only.

Ok sir ill go with twrp.. Pls answer my questions above one by one if its ok.. What should i do right after rooting? What should i back-up? How to back-up? If installed another rom, can i still access my apps? Will the apps remain on progress? or it will be back to start again (as if newly installed). Thanks a lot!
After install the recovery, make a full backup (the recovery have that option, but I dunno where is it in TWRP).
If you're going to install a ROM, surely you'll need to make a factory reset (another recovery option), so all your apps will be lost, however, you can make a backup of your apps (and/or its data) using some app like Titanium Backup, and restore the backup after install the ROM.

hm.. thanks for all the replies.. how partitioning? when should i do it? ive read some posts about partitioning so i think its important, is it or is it not? thank you i really appreciate every reply.
It depends of your phone and your usage habits. If your phone have few space to install apps, or you will install many apps then maybe you will need more space, this is the purpose of partitioning.
How to do it... well, you need to make the partition in your SD (you can do it from the recovery, or from your PC using any partitioning utility) and then, to use the partition, you'll need to install an app like Link2SD (you can install the scripts used by Link2SD if you prefer, but for the newbies is recommended use an app instead).

I've just started to play with custom roms 2 days ago and nothing went badly wrong just yet With some precautions (the backups) and attention to the instructions you will do just fine Make sure you get the correct roms for your phone, because my first attempt to flash a rom was from a different phone model Nothing wrong happened, just an error message, but its a good example that you should play attention to the names and versions of the files!
good luck

Wait sir, i got a little bit confused.. Hehe. What is Mobile Uncle Tool? Do i need it to have CWM or TWRP?
Hi.
I have been looking through the forum, and can't seem to find a proper solution for my problem.
My sisters boyfriend owns a SGS2 i9100, and as far as I can tell, it's bricked. When turned on, the SGS2 logo shows, and then just goes black. Waited 10mins, nothing. He says he did't do anything, all he did was changing the battery, he bought the extended one.
Now the problem is - he really needs to get the data off the phone! He has some work-related stuff on it (notes, pictures, etc...) he needs asap...
I can get into recovery and download mode, I already installed CWM (GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9.tar) but I fear I flashed the wrong one, because he told me AFTER flashing, that his SG2 was running on android 2.4.x...
I tried mounting emmc and internal sdcard, but my PC wont detect it, so I could copy the data off it...
The phone is not rooted and runing on stock ROM.
Any ideas how to get the data out?
tnx for all your help & replys in advance, I hope someone can help, would appreciate it.
Merry christmas to all

If you can root and flash CWM, then you can try entering recovery and making a nandroid backup. Then extract its contents using apps meant for the same.

Hey, good point! I'll try that, thanks!
Will report
If the phone actually is bricked & you don't end up being able to get it working normally, you have no chance of recovering data from it.
@immortalneo
I made a nandroid backup from CWM and saved on PC... I have all the data, tnx!
Next question is - where (in all those "data" and "system" files), can I find his notes, that were saved in the stock notes app? I'm searching through the files and can't seem to find it
Tnx again man
Flash the same rom that was flashed before the brick.
Then install titanium backup pro and use "extract from nandroid backup" and find the app you want to restore and restore just DATA.Restart the phone and that's it.
I've been doing this for a long time now, restoring sms mesages, notes, game saves....

ok i though you are not interested in a sense 5.5 rom that's why did not replied.
it should be ready in 4 hours let me also check if CWM is reading backup from SD card. as far as i know it reads from internal storage. i also have to check if it mounts the internal storage to PC from CWM if it does so, than it's easy for you.
Edit: ok it can read from external SD thats a good news for you. do not forget to flash the boot.img from Kingsense 2.0 before rebooting into the rom.

I'm sending my 816 for warranty next week so im trying to unroot and relock my bootloader. I'm also trying to restore the recovery. My model is 816x, is this RUU compatible with my phone?

It depends on the model of the 816 you have. However you don't need a RUU to do the things you listed.
Hello.-
I install the RUU but apparently I did not install anything, and I'm still Cyanogem what I want is to go to the Stock. My model is the single sim.
@jacktackle coun you please upload recovery.img in this ruu PLEASE?!i cant download 1 gb for 10 mb file :'(
My phone is rooted, S-ON, custom recovery installed, but if i want to flash this RUU through computer or phone, it says an error and it just cancels it. Any help?

You need to unroot, and relock your bootloader before you can flash a RUU.
Thanks for answering, but can you make me a short and quick tutorial about it?
