Wifi connected but not working while on call - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

When I'm connected to Wi-Fi my Internet connection works fine. But, as soon as I'm on a call and wifi simultaneously, my Internet connection does not work even though it still shows that I'm connected to Wifi with full signal strength. I've tried different apps and different browsers, but I still get no data transfer while on a call and on Wi-Fi at the same time. Once I disconnect from the call, my Wi-Fi Internet connection starts transferring data again. If I switch to 4G instead of wifi while on a call, the data connection works fine. Any ideas?

Wifi connection problem.

Hello.
I'm having some problems with the Wifi connection on my Vibrant. Connects fine to my home wifi (secured wpa2, aes/tkip) but no data is being transferred. It works after a phone reboot, but once the wifi on the phone is disabled, it won't transfer any data when it is enabled again. When connected to unsecured networks, everything works fine.
Any help is appreciated.

[Q] strange wifi problem

I am on bionix 1.3.1 and have noticed that whenever I turn my wifi on it seems to not allow me data access. My web browser will not connect to a page, market won't load, and any downloads that were in progress will fail. it's as if turning on the wifi is overriding my data connection and blocking it. It says that it's connected in the menu though. Any advice?
Thanks
Edit: I just noticed when looking at my phone stats, that when I turn on my wifi my mobile network state says disconnected, and it connects again when wifi is turned off.
Also, I have an airport extreme and a mac, perhaps that is my problem. I've scoured the internet and found a bunch of info about this problem, but haven't found anything that works yet.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong but if you switch from wifi to 3g while downloading the download usually will fail because you were using only wifi to download the content and when that turned off it doesn't just switch to using 3g you have to manually retry the download using 3g .... when wifi and 3g are on wifi doesn't speed up the 3g instead it does the internet related work and the 3g does the text and phone call related work
that makes sense, thanks. as for the connection problem, it is definitely mac related. my wifi seems to work on other networks. I just need to figure out how to make it work with the airport. It's just weird to me that it says it's connected and shows signal bars, but won't access the internet.

so is the new problem that the airport extreme won't give wifi to your phone or that its not working at all
According to my phone I am connected via wifi to my network from the airport, however, the phone cannot access any internet functions when connected. When I disable wifi, it works fine with 3g or edge. It seems to be something with the settings on my airport, not the phone itself.

That's surprising maybe this means apple products are biased

[Q] Only data transferred on 3g

Recently my rezound has stopped transferring data over wi-fi. It will connect fine to networks but then all apps will say "no connection" or "unable to connect". If I disable wifi and run on 3g/4g then it works fine.
So far I've tried forgetting all wifi networks, but I don't know what else to try.
Please help, I live in a 3g area and it's so slow.

[Q] wifi tether shuts down wifi..

When i enable wifi hotspot or wifi tether it shuts down wifi. some apps do not communicate with same network even though it can ping each other.
Obviously, WiFi tether/hotspot needs the same WiFi transceiver that is used for WiFi reception, so they can't work continuously. You won't find any phone that doesn't have it the same way, because it doesn't make any practical sense to have both WiFi and WiFi hotspot on at the same time.
When you hotshot you can only share your mobile internet over wifi as the wifi of the phone cannot simultaneously receive and share Internet. You can only receive mobile internet and share wifi, hope that clears things up a little
Like it was said earlier, you can only choose to connect to the Internet or share it, not both at the same time.

Data (Wi-Fi AND Mobile data) issues

Ever since I received my OPX I had little problems with my data, independently of using Wi-Fi or mobile internet (2g/3g).
It started with the fact that in the installation of the phone it couldn't connect to verify it's connection, although wifi was connected correctly.
I started it without the connection it wanted and factory resetted it and then I got the same problem, but after a few minutes it worked correctly and I could install my phone without any problems.
Now when I work with my phone (Whatsapp, 9gag, webrowsing, video streaming) it sometimes stops with loading, like it has lost its connection, but both Wi-Fi and mobile internet are connected.
This is very frustrating when watching video, since it just won't buffer anymore and I have to wait for like 1 minute before it continues and reloading the page helps most of the times, because I then force to get data.
Sometimes when WhatsApp isn't loading/ keeping it's connection I just start a SpeedTest to ensure it has an open connection. This works most of the times.
Also WhatsApp Web keeps losing its connection while the screen is on.
I hope you guys have some ideas on this subject.
I have a similar issue. In my case the device seems to have problems with certain WiFi-Networks (at university to be precise). The connection with the WiFi is still there, but there's no actual connection to the internet sometimes. That's why your mobile data doesn't activate - there are no connection issues on mobile data for me.
The cause for this is probably the lack of a 5GHz WiFi antenna. I don't know why, but my OPX cannot handle the 2.4GHz WiFi at university (at home it works fine!).
So to test this out, you should try different WiFi-Networks. If the network is 2.4GHz only, it should be working.
The WiFi thing while setting up the phone is a known OxygenOS bug and can be worked around.
