Phone wont boot/boot loop/allows flashing zips - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

So phone froze today while using Eclipse ROM - did a battery pull and now phone just boot loops.
I am able to get into recover/flash new zip/reboot --- but no matter what ROM i flash it just boot loops.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

(Solved)Trouble Installing New Roms

I didn't want to post this until I thoroughly tested it, but I've not been able to install any new roms. Here's what I've tried:
liquid
slimbean 2.9
eclipse
cookies and cream
and jelly beer
My process is as follows:
Backup
Wipe system 3 times
Wipe dalvic 3 times
Wipe cache 3 times
Format system 3 times
Install rom, gaaps, kernel
Wipe dalvic & cache
Reboot system
My results have all been the same:
2 vibrations
2 Samsung splash screens
Boot animation
Black screen with soft keys lit.
I have verified the downloads on each rom that I've tried and I'm stumped as to why my process is rendering me with a black screen.
Any suggestions are welcome, but please keep in mind that I have verified ALL of the downloads (usually by download them several times).

Try flashing without the kernel. What happens? It may be the kernel bricking the phone
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
All right ill give that a shot thanks.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Can you verify you still have root?
Right rom for the right phone (i717 vs N7000)?
Try removing the SD card when flashing, for some reason this works on others phones.
Ok only installing the rom and gaaps didn't work, I tried it on slimbean 2.9 and liquid (yes I know these roms are all from the same dev)
Yes I verified that I was installing I717 roms and not n7000 roms, but I don't know how to verify that I'm still rooted?

Update your recovery. TWRP is best IMO.

This version of TWRP working like a champ. Happy flashing!

What roostercruiser said. Cwm is a thing of the past. Twrp will get the job done.

Ok I'm gonna try the updated TWRP though I'm pretty sure I'm on the latest version. I'll report back and thanks for all the suggestions.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Ok I updated the TWRP and did a clean install of 2.9 with just the rom and the gaaps and it did load successfully, I'm about to load the oc kernel and see if that goes well.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Ok I'm able to install all of the above mentioned roms without the oc kernels suggested in the thread by the OP, but as soon as I try to install the kernel I end right back up at two splah screens, a boot ani, and the black screen with sofkeys lit. Any other suggestions?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Try this, start from scratch. Do factory reset, 3x, Wipe cache and dalvik then Flash ROM. Do a full reboot. Before you flash gapps wipe cache and dalvik again, then flash gapps. Do another full reboot. Go back to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik again, then flash oc kernal and then reboot.
Gubment Cheeze
Ok rooster, I'm gonna give that a try now, thanks!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
If that doesn't work, I would check the oc kernel MD5. If you're able to flash ROM and Gapps but the kernel makes it haywire- maybe you got a bad download on the kernel.
Gubment Cheeze
Yeah I verified the md5 and my downloads are known good as they work on other roms, but I'll give them another download just to be thorough.

[Q] Galaxy does not start anymore after update SU to 1.25

Hello Guys,
my s2 GT-19100 is rooted with original 4.1.2 and CRW. Everything works fine...then I found an update from SUSuperUser App in PlayStore to upgrade from 0.99 to 1.25. After I downloaded and installed this update, su asks me to install in NORMAL or CRW mode...so I choose CRW.
Phone rebooted but no nothing happens...I tried everything VOL-UP+Power+Main-Button...no reaction...put battery out and in...no reaction :
Please help me...what do I have to do now?
Why update in Cwm mide when you can update in android.
Pull out battery 5 min
Then try to charge for a while.
Then try again
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
After I opened the app, it first asks me to update binaries...i clicked YES. After that there comes another install/update procedure...not the update procedure from play store...to install SU and there were 2 options (NORMAL OR CWM)...I remembered I uses CWM while rooting my phone so I took that option...and SU reboots my phone and now nothing works...
Ok I will try
Some kind of a brick... try that if doesnt work you need an USB jig to force it to download mode

options:
- reboot system now
- apply update from external storage
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- apply update from cache
- test redbend fota[FS]
E:bad option "fs_options=loop"
can't unmount /system (no such file or directory)

I dont think you listening carefully.
You said that you updated your SUPERSU and choose for some reason CWM and you bricked it.
Then you said you can use Downloadmode. Fine its not hardbrick.
Then you said youre on stock JB 4.1.2 and rooted with annother kernel. OK
Now you flashed siyah and then you get into Recovery? Why do you do that.
Why dont you just restart the phone and it will boot into android. Why WIPE?
These options come automatically after flashing siyah and reboot by odin. Now my phone loads again...yeeeeeeah it works
Do I have to remove/uninstall the old jeboo kernel? And if yes, HOW ?
Thank you so much

No you dont need to uninstall. You kernel is removed automaticly by kernel you just flashed. And in that case Siyah or wich one you choose.
Glad that it works
What is the cm10.1 stuff on the same post on siyah homepage? Do I need this also ?

NO. CM10 is Custom Rom version. Its compatible with Siyah. So CM10 is not a kernel its a ROM
Siyah , Dorimanx and Philz is KERNELS you just flashed to get root acess and Clockworkmod recovery to flash custom ROMS
But now you have yellow triangle when you start you S2 dont you?
Remove it with app called Triangle Away.
Yes I have this triangel...but is this bad or just a picture?

No not bad. It just showing you that phone is flashed with something CUSTOM like CUSTOM ROM or Custom Kernel.
Do you have MSN or Something. I can give you Triangle Away app and you can reset the counter

Alright. Go here for the MK2 stock image.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2578209
Make sure you have the correct USB Drivers and preferably use the USB cable that came with the S4.
If the no wipe doesn't work.. Try the full wipe..
I'm going out on a limb since you haven't replied back yet. But if you're on a Verizon S4 with SafeStrap then really you can't go wrong with using the MK2 file.
If you need anymore help let me know

Phone issues, HELP!

So here's the story..
I recently decided to root my Galaxy s6 Edge 6.0.1. The root worked fine.
However, I found out that it caused the default phone app to not work properly. I could call and receive calls, but neither of us could hear each other.
I downloaded this one app that can modify system apps. I went to the phone app, backed it up, deleted, and tried to re install. However.. It failed me. It would not let me use the backup I had created, and just let me to the google play store.
After trying so many things to fix it, I ended up just removing the root, and factory reset my phone. Now I have a new problem. It wont even let me call anyone. It tells me "Unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped working". Now I tested it to see if it was the actual phone. I downloaded WhatsApp and tried calling from there. It worked fine, and I could hear the other person and they could hear me. Which lead me to believe that it was a problem with the systems phone.
Is there anyway to get that back? What can I do? Please help, I literally just voided my warranty 24 hours ago and now it's about to bite me in the ass....
