Recently I was exploring the possibility of making themes for Go Launcher (or similar, but I think Go Launcher is the most widespread), and I realized (we must not be very rogue) you can make some money with them.
Does anyone know how to sell themes, or someone has experience with these issues?
Yes. I know if people making theme chooser themes and themes for other apps like go launcher. You must make a theme that is worth money and you will make money. Just submit to play store. Build a reputation first.
[ LG NEXUSâ´ / LIQUIDSMOOTH / FRANCO / POETIC BLK BUMPER / APEX PRO / TAPATALK PRO ]
Yeah what he said ^^^^^
Its possible you could It would have to be something that everybody likes and
that goes well with the phone. Also i reputation is good otherwise nobody might
see it ^_^
If you are doing it to make money then you are here for the wrong reasons. Also I would pick a different set of apps to theme for. The go apps are not the best (full of security holes) and more and more people are sick of the bloat and moving to other apps.

SuperBump!
in regards to Go Theme creation and Apex Theme Creation. Is there any type of themes that would be off the table for commercial use?..I've made tons of Go Themes but I've never submitted them as I don't care for the companies shifting practices (deep sixing the PC Theme Creator client and the web sms feature that made go sms unique without telling anyone)
I've made themes from all kinds of Anime and Video Game Characters. And the Themes i've been seeing in the Play Stores that are based on anime (and some on video game ) themes have usually been removed.

The go dev team have some pretty slick themes with in apps to match your rom colour theming , I know a lot are familiar. With go launcher, go locker(lockscreen ) go keyboard, go SMS pro, but some not, so take a look in the market, then in the go store a lot of these cool themes are free and all apps are free with regular updates, lots of options, and easy to use, and root isn't needed either
Does anyone one know if there is an app out there that can automatically switch your launcher theme every X hours? I currently am running Bionix-V 1.3.1 Fishman mod (Final 2) and use Go Launcher EX. I have several themes for the launcher, but I also use Zedge to update the wallpaper every hour for some variety. However, when the wallpaper changes, it may not match the theme, so I end up applying a new Go theme (which also applies the wallpaper for that particular theme), then I have to go back into zedge and re-apply the wallpaper from zedge. I know -- it doesn't really make any sense, but I get tired of staring at the same theme/wallpaper. If there is an app (it might have to be launcher-specific) that allows the themes to rotate automatically, I would probably stop using zedge altogether.
Anyone?
Apparently I am the lone Android user among the millions worldwide that cares about automatically switching themes. How sad.
Not at all. It's just that, as far as I can tell and have seen, such a thing doesn't exist. You would need either a plugin for an existing launcher, or such a thing built into the launcher itself. Your best bet is to contact the developers of each launcher with the suggestion. It's a good idea and I'm sure at least one of the developers would give it a shot.
Thanks
Thanks, Johnny. In a way, I was kind of hoping I was just bad at searching.
I am wondering what are some apps and widgets to get to improve my phone and make me like it more. Just want to have some fun but don't know what to get. I have a galaxy note
I like flipboard, there's a thread in this forum with an APK that works on GB. Temple run is nice on the larger screen thats available in the play store. Outside of that it depends on what you're interested in, social media, gaming, etc.
Multipicture live wallpaper. It lets you set a different wallpaper for each home screen. I have them tailored to the Office, Music, Movies, Modding, and Photography.
If you really want to have some fun Google Motorola Xoom Hubs and check out the videos of hubs being set up on Android devices.
Get a different Launcher. That alone gives you tons of great tweaking options.

I would start with the basics first.. .like handcent sms, beautiful widgets, Adw ex launcher for fully customizing the home launcher.........maybe you should help us by being a little more specific in your guest of app or widgets...so we know what you have first to begin ....we all could be naming the same things you have if we have that info to go by.
So I am almost done making a theme for Go Launcher and I have a few questions. I am using the Theme Factory online creator Go Launcher has on there website. I can save it to their server and/or save it locally to my drive in a zip. First question! If I wanted to sell my theme on google play...is there a way to make an apk file out of the zipped files? And if there is...is it legal for me to sell it on my own? Or do I have to go through Go Launcher...Cause it says on their website if your theme is good enough, they could sell it...but I would like to sell my created themes myself. Also do the other Go items like keyboard and SMS have theme creators as well?
Second question! Can I sell the icons in my theme in an icon pack on their own selling on Google Play on MY OWN account?? And have it compatible with a few launchers? Do I need to get permission from those launchers? Can I do the same thing with wallpapers?
Third Question! For the other launchers, there is no "theme creator" utility I can use. With I have to get some sort of xml editor or Eclispe? I am familiar with web programming so I;m sure I can pick up on this stuff for what I need pretty fast..I just need to know the right direction
Creating a new thread for this..
I'm going to create a new thread for GO Themes Factory that will hopefully bring all of us together with what we have learned from the process and to help others out along the way. It will be posted under the "Android Themes" section.

Hi,
I finally made the switch to android after years of iOS and WP.
WP was really a failure in my opinion, and since android doesn't seem to lag that much anymore since 4.0, I thought I'd give android a shot.
I've been playing around and searching for tips and tricks etc, I'm trying to customize my UI to my liking especially, but I can't get anywhere close to those awesome UI screenshots I see people posting of their phones across forums. I'm currently using Go Launcher EX but I'm looking for cooler techy/nerdy widgets, live backgrounds, more animations (especially TV animation when locking the phone).
Can you give a new android user any tips and hints (anything from apps to general usage)?
Any essential apps (like CCleaner for android or something) that I should get, or any procedures such as cleaning the cache regularly I should be aware of?

Wow, that should get me started at least, thanks.
Do you have more launcher suggestions? I don't mind paying for it, but I'm looking for something that has a decent amount of themes to choose from and lots of customizability plus it should be stable and not lag.
