In your opinion..... - HTC Rezound

What would you all see as the best sense Rom to run.

Nils BizSense 4.0 is the best on this forum. In my opinion. But ya gotta run em and see how they run on your machine to really know...

Best rom threads are frowned upon because there are to many variables to say one Rom is the best. What may the best for one user may not be that same for the next depending on each individuals needs it can also be offensive to the devs who put in a lot of time to builds these roms. So head to the dev section do some reading and then flash some roms you will figure out what Rom is best for YOU.

What is the fast, stable, and overall best rom for the 5.0 us

what is the most stable and fastest rom currently available for the us player 5.0? I recently came on cm9, and I thought it was a very close to ics it still had some bugs and issues. Although I would prefer an ics rom, I would also like to know the best overall rom for our player! Thank you !
This is development section not general so this topic is pure spam and same topic every week is opening.

If you were a bit more respectful towards other people in terms of not wasting their time asking what's probably one of the most asked questions on this forum and spent like 5 minutes looking around it, you would have found the answer already...

Which Rom should I use topsmarts gb or nottachtrix both are beautiful roms

Dude, wtf? You have been warned already and your thread closed...
Reported, again.
Many of the DEV's help each other out and I even bet real life friends. Not cool to ask "who" makes a better ROM. They all are good ROM's in their own merit.
If you need to know the answer... install one ROM and test drive it. Back it up and install the other ROM. Test drive it. Compare your own observations and make the decision on your own. I believe you will be your own best judge as to which ROM you like most.
Good luck.
Pointless thread is pointless.

[Q] Current ROM's Feature Comparisons?

Before making assumptions and dismissing this thread, please read the following. There are a few recent threads asking what you're favorite custom ROMs are -- but that's not what I'm looking for here.
I'm looking to have a better understanding of the differences between the variety of ROMs that grace the development section of these forums. Clearly there are quite a few popular choices out there, but to someone who is not up to date on Android development it is hard to understand what benefits one would have over another. Many seem to have fairly similar feature sets, and the differences that are apparent often are meaningless to someone who has no recent point of reference.
Thus, what I am asking for here are informative comparisons / reviews that explain what you like about various ROMs - the differences between and benefits of their feature sets.
So, who wants to start? I would, but I'm using a really outdated ICS rom that I'm fairly dissatisfied with - hence my desire to see some thoughts on what's currently out there
@shayne
Please actually read what I wrote before quoting me.
I'm specifically not looking for people to list their favorites. I am specifically asking people to compare the featuresets of the ROMs and explain which they find useful. There's nothing, whatsoever, critical nor disrespectful about that. And it has not been done before - not in any of the threads I've seen.
ok well we shall see how it leads then....
This thread will most likely be closed.... Anyways, I enjoy SuperNexus by Jamie because it is a stock nexus experience, amazing battery life (I under clocked), and buttery smooth performance. I highly suggest this for people who like stripped stock ROMs.

I really am at a loss as to why people have such a problem with this thread. Again,
I'm not asking which ROM is better!
I'm trying to start a thread comparing the features of each. It's very, very confusing and overwhelming to go through pages upon pages of Custom ROMs and try to understand what differentiates them, when the vast majority look fairly identical to the layperson. Hence, a thread elaborating on the differences between various ROMs and explaining the reasons why one might choose one over another is called for - - is it not??

Because Devs are here because they work hard and share their work. They are not obligated to do so. Comparing to roms to others is a big disrespect. Hence why all the other comparison threads are closed.

I can see how asking for qualitative opinions on which ROM is better would be disrespectful. That is not what I'm doing!
I am simply asking to compare the features that different ROMs have so-as to understand what makes one different from another, and thereby understand them better. I have edited the OP to better reflect this. I don't see how that could possibly be construed as disrespectful.

Have you not read the 1st post of any of the ROM threads? Every single 1st post of every single ROM thread answers your question about what features each ROM has. Read them and if possible flash the ROM. Doesn't take long to try a ROM out and seen if ya like it or not.

OK Phnord, there is no good way to get people to read your thread objectively....... That is unfortunate ....... because of the nature of the subject everyone just thinks this is a "best rom" thread, which it is not..... But that said most people would rather troll than read.
The easiest way to do comparisons in XDA is to take the op showing what bloat was removed and what features are included in the Rom.... then copy and paste either into a excel sheet or a word doc and then you can make a side by side comparison. The other stuff that outside input would be helpful, (as you see)...... appears to be too much to ask for in this thread.
I do not see the members behaving we respect in this thread so this is the last post, but I hope I helped you get your answers and let this be known the trolls were cited for trolling.....
Thanks ~~~ oka1

Looking for a simple 4.3 rom...

Hey guys ive been running stock for about 2 months and Im looking for a 4.3 based rom that still has the s oen features. In the past ive only ran cyanogen mod.
What's the best choice?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Beans is the most popular. Beamsrom 22 I think is the latest. Its in android development section
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Sorry I don't mean to come off as rude or flame you but please do some research before posting, especially in the development thread. This forum is for devs only. To answer your question most of the 4.3 aosp ROMS are great and none of them come with spen features since they are not based off TouchWiz. To make up for it you can download apps like GMD gesture control as a replacement for the spen.
And, with the above, thread is closed as "best" rom threads end up spiraling into beauty contests that really are subjective in nature.
Best is in the eye of the beholder. Please take time to read and study about all the products in the development threads to determine what it is that you desire.

Brief ROM catch-up please with S3?

NOT A 'WHICH ROM IS BEST' THREAD!!!
Hi,
I'm new to the S3, come from HTC Sensation and Galaxy S2. I'm been running custom ROMs for years.
Please could somebody briefly let me know these things?
1. I am assuming there are stable JB ROMs and more beta-type KK ROMs at the moment, is that correct?
2. Could somebody suggest a stable/solid JB ROM to start me off with? I prefer RR/CM type ROMs.
3. I've always wanted to try an AOKP ROM and I know there's one for the S3. Is the milestone 2 version stable?
Many thanks!
Adam
Yes it is a best rom thread, go try them for yourself. There is a reason they are against the rules.

Why bother typing something so unhelpful?
It would have taken the same amount of effort to have said "well, it's not my favourite ROM, but XXX seems stable and is a good place to start" or something like that.
The internet; bringing the worst out in people all day, everyday...
I like how u phrase this thread but it is still a best rom thread. The reason why this is still a best rom thread is cos u asked for a stable rom recommendation. Will be asking mod to close.

Mod Edit
Whichever way you word it...
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.
