I'm running Omega Rom 43.1 as my primary rom on my Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300, I'm trying to dual boot paranoid android 3.1 as my 2nd rom.
When I press 'volume down' or 'home button' to boot into the 2nd rom all I get is a black screen and nothing will happen. I've followed the steps by
'Format 2nd rom > wipe 2nd rom data/cache > wipe 2nd rom dalvik cache > install 2nd rom from internal SD'.
Is there something I'm doing wrong please help
Siyah does not yet support the new Android versions... clearly stated in the siyah discussion thread
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Hi
But in their page they said that in the new kernel it was fixed, they say this:
cm10.1 is now supported in dual-boot configurations
1.8.7->1.8.8: fixed cm10.1 not booting when installed as 2ndROM (a tiny typo in ramfs)
1.8.8->1.8.9: fixed the problem when installing cm10.1 directly as 2ndROM. fixed bluetooth issue in cm10/cm10.1 (credits to Entropy512, just cherrypicked his commit from CM10.1 kernel repo). added profile support back to support droidphile’s
So what it does that mean?
The versions of CM 10.1 before 27th (?) are running, whereas later versions not. Reason is the update MALI drivers of new android versions and Siyah was not yet adjusted to it. We have to wait for an updated Siyah kernel.

Are you sure the kernel is flashed. you can check this in fastboot when flashing it or turn on the phone and you'll see the FXP logo.
Try again with fxp134 CM9
-reboot recovery
-whipe everything(data,cache,dalvik,system)
-flash rom and successfully install kernel via fastboot(doesn't really matter wich is first rom or kernel)
-reboot via recovery or fastboot comand.
-turn on the phone and check again if touch works.
Or you can try This and I also recomend to run a logcat or check if the device encounters errors via Dalvik Debug Monitor(located inside the android-sdk folder/tools/ddms.bat)

Can't seem to make WiFi Tether work in cm10 fxp135. It's on but other devices can't see it.

Barnacle WiFi Tether and other Tether apps show error. I just want you to know. That's all. BTW, this won't stop me from using this ultra smooth rom. Not even the Camera thingy. FXP rocks!:highfive:
Edit: CM10-fxp135

The unofficial one from FXP has FMradio built in and some tweaks to memory management. Those are the most important ones

Can someone who flashes this please post a bug list (namely any camera issues)? I want to get the wife off the JB leak, too many notification bugs.

Please, there's already a thread about this here. This should go in general.

Just flashed - so far so good. As far as I can see camera all works great.
I'm going to flash this as soon as my download completes.
Tried to install this coming from Unofficial CM10.1 (JB 4.2.1) in SafeStrap 3.11 and wouldn't boot. Returning to stock since couldn't even reinstall CM10.1.
Do you have to be on a specific kernel for this ROM to work properly?
I re-created slot-1 in SS 3.11, and installed the RAZR CDMA zip, followed by the GApps package and I don't even get to a boot logo.
I should add that I'm on the JB kernel.

I'm GSM myself, so unfortunately I can't help / confirm :/
Installed it using SafeStrap on stock ICS (Slot 1) (GSM). Same issues graphic tearing on fast scrolling and animations, camera flash not working, haven't tested BT but im sure its not fixed.
But good thing we got so many builds it will happen one day we will have functional AOKP or CM
Anyone else having problems with Google Now's mic icon crashing? The little mic on the homescreen
EDIT: Crashes on CM10.1 too. Is it gapps 20121212? I kind of wanted voice to text as a pivotal feature for texting.

Not much - they're both built from source but that one is by a developer and this one is built by the AOKP dev team.

I flashed the most recent update he had in there: cm-10.1-20130225-UNOFFICIAL-spyder.zip and still don't even get to a boot animation. If I flash the ones prefixed with "JB Kernel Only" they work.
Can anyybody confirm working with BMM?
I meant to hear someth. about Hashcodes work ist not BMM compatible on purpose?

Hey guys, I am using CHAOS Rom as primary on Goggy Max kernel 1.6.8. I want to dual boot with Resurruction Remix. Just to see how the ROM feels like.. I want to test other ROMS on dual boot. So i followed these steps:
- Install 1st rom the usual way
- Flash Googy-Max Kernel
- Install stweaks from PlayStore
- Go to Dual Boot tab and reboot into 2nd rom utils (the phone should reboot immediately to "special recovery")
- On "special recovery" Go to dual boot options
- If it's the first time you install a 2nd rom, you must initialize the filesystem by wiping 2nd rom
- Always on "special recovery" Dual Boot options, flash all needed zips (Here i flashed the main rom zip and gapps and finally again the goggy-max kernel)
-
after i reboot into second rom.. it is very very slow.. it doesn't boot sometimes even.. zram is 800mb with 80% swappiness.. by the way the primary ROM works awesome..
any help is appreciated!!

Flash a different second ROM to see if it is a problem with your choice of ROM or not. 800MB zram is very laggy for me.

I tried flashing different ROM's Pardus HD and Fantasy ROM's .. same situation no change. So what Zram do u suggest ??
About 200 although that isn't going to solve the problem if these ROMs dont have 800MB set up as default within them.
Maybe best to ask in the Kernel thread

The siyah kernel does not come with an updated mali driver and thus you cannot use a CM10.2 (android 4.3)based roms on it.Thus you can dualboot or even if u install the kernel on an CM10.2 based roms then you will get stuck on a bootloop thus u cant use siyah kernel but you can use Googy-Max kernel as that is the only kernel for s3 that is compatible with rom running android 4.3 and u can dualboot. In simple words Googy-Max kernel is an advanced version of siyah kernel an it is compatible with stweaks !
I made a video on it...do check it The channel name is Abraar Shaikh
Hope this helped

I've flashed Resurrection Remix V4.0.7 to my i9100. I was in Carbon ROM, the latest NIGHTLY. I have CWM Jeboo kernel installed but saw that Siyah kernel was better so I flashed it. I was able to boot into it once but then it went back to CWM by default. Anyway, I tried flashing RR V4.0.7, It worked, but its limited and I keep getting errors popping up such as keyboard stopped working, every 10 seconds or so (AOSP keyboard). I also can't open the quick settings menu in the status bar.I'm wondering if its because I never had the AROMA launcher display during installation. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, I'll be over in Carbon Rom for now.
