Can i install Beastmode Viverrine B3.9 kernel on this rom? How would I do it? Through recovery just like a rom? I am using Setcpu and when i overclock to 1.8 antutu and citadel benchmarks suffer. Quadrant did go up. Sorry asking so many questions but i came from a thunderbolt and everything was a lot easier.

If you are s-off and the kernel comes in a recovery flashable zip(meaning the boot.img is in the zip with the metainf etc) then you can flash it through recovery. Otherwise, you need to flash the kernel modules in recovery and the kernel using fastboot(fastboot flash boot boot.img)
Yes. The latest version of the NOS M7 1.0.3 has Blackout Viverrine B3.2
I will check and see how that comes.
I'm s-on and use flash image gui and it works perfectly for all my flashing needs.

can R800x model be overclock
Erm,not really sure.Do YOU have R00T? you can make it slightly faster using SETCPU/NOfrills
Yes i have root
download SetCPU/NoFrills
it should make it slightly faster
ATM DooMkernel (dont quote me on this, and find out yourself )doesnt work with R8OOx .If it did,it would be REALLY fast
Set cpu and no Frills does not overclock the play.

what would happen if you set it to the MAXXXXXXXXXX!
plus it is atleast some improvement !
You can get a nice boost if you bump the minimum and change the governor with NoFrills/SetCPU.

R800X with doomkernel v03 and FTSv05. OC's to 1.5 and undervolted. Kernel allows for up to 1.9 Check out the their threads and see if your system runs it... i have some minor hiccups but overall experience this phone is flying with this set up.
Order of steps:
Get root
Run cwr via freexperia fastboot (see thread)
Clear data and cache (i didn't but can't hurt)
Reboot into fastboot
Flash doomkernel thru fastboot
Flash fts rom thru fastboot
Run cdma patch thru cwr update.zip
Run Facebook patch thru cwr update.zip
Run gapps patch thru cwr update.zip
Download setcpu and incredicontrol from market, overclock, undervolt and enjoy!

Stock kernel maxes at 1024... You need a custom kernel to overclock... You can still use setcpu to underclock the stock kernel if you're rooted.

I saw someone post you could get tethering to work if you fooled it to think you had a different model phone. Nexus perhaps. Probably something to do with editing the info in the build.prop file but i haven't looked into it. Check out the other threads here to see if you can find a description...

There is no custom kernel for just the stock r800x that will allow overclocking with out incurring numerous bugs. The only way you can overclock without multiple issues is to flash a custom kernel and one of the custom roms. Nofrills or a similar app will allow you to increase the cpu minimum speed with the stock kernel so that it will respond faster from an idle state, but no actual overclocking will occur.
Also this should be posted in the general section as it is a question.

You should find everything you need here :

I want to overclock and am about to install the synergy rom for fast filesystem. can i install rcmix to overclock with setcpu? im on 2.3.4 latest update rooted with htc method.
I'm on Eternity and using RCMIX 3D v11. Working well. My experience over all the roms I've tried (but not Synergy) is that it is a solid kernel and overclocking is good and stable.
You can do this but if you are hboot 1.50 you MUST flash the rom through fastboot on the pc to get the kernel to stick or you can extract kernel and flash seperately. I believe post 2 of synergy or eternity thread has detailed instructions. Also if you search Joeykrm's posts he has answered this very question in great detail also. Sorry I'm on xda app or id link you.

thanks does this mean its not compatible or i cant go higher or what?
There are 1.6GHz overclocks out there right now so it isn't an issue of speed, but it may have just been a bad flash or there could be something else with the build you are using and the kernel's problems are un-related.
I wouldn't worry, but just flash a new kernel and give it a go. You can always go back.

The problem is that is wasn't compatible WD is a AT&T build so use faux123 kernels and the elite that you were flashing is for cm7 builds this is a problem btwn AT&T and international for example I own international and to use old WD I had to either flash a unified kernel or use the "Ramfix" b4 it would run on mine but feel free to play around with it maybe try using the elite with the "Ramfix" let me know if that works just keep a backup of the working kernel so you can always go back and you'll be fine gl

Many phones just can't handle that much of an OC. Read the Faux or Clemsyn kernel threads and you will see this. Very few people have been able to run the higher OC kernels because like a PC, all hardware is not the same. If you experience boot loops, freezes, etc., you need to flash a lower clocked kernel.
And yes, make sure you flash one which is compatible.
So I have been browsing around and have decided to flash the newest version of Sebastian's overclocked kernel. I am S-Off on the newest HBOOT currently running zhp's Vigor 1.1 on the latest ICS RUU.
I am assuming I just flash the zip provided (kernel) via recovery correct? Also, what programs do you guys use in order to tune the speed of the cpu's? Is it built into the kernel?
I have also been hearing that people get problems flashing the kernel straight up, and that they need to flash the stock kernel before hand then flash Sebastian's over that. Is this true?
Thanks in advance.

Flash in recovery ( make sure not cwm, our phones dont seem to like that one too much, I would use Amonra for something as serious as a kernel, then switch back TWRP for fun), simple as that, i wipe cache and dalvik but heard that it was unnecessary. You wont lose anything if you do
I use incredicontrol by chad, but sebastians doesn't have fast charge built in. SO that option wont be available.
People get problems because they are s-on flashing it, you dont have to worry, make sure you dont have a ph98img stored on your sd card in case of trouble you can just go to recovery from hboot and flash a different kernel. and make sure u match the kernel with your rom of course, sense 4 , sense 3.6 , aosp , or whatever, i see your rom but i am making sure you understand you cant just slap a kernel that was intended for a different platform.
Changing voltage ABILITY is built in the kernel, but to harness it , you need an app , once again i like incredit kernel, i am hearing issues with setcpu, choose your flavor.

Thank you for your great response. I think this is for Sense 3.6. I will also try out incredicontrol and get back to you on that.
*EDIT
Where can I find out that this is for 3.6?
Edit:
To add to this it look like it will work on any ROM that has a unsecured boot.img. Now I haven't tested that..
Here you go
Edit : I would listen to zone ... lol he is awesome ...
Ah alright. Are you on this kernel zone?

Yes I am. It will run on 3.14 or 4.03 as long as you are flashing over a kernel that it unsecured.

Are you using the right kernel and not a jb one? What does it do when you try to flash one, we need a little more info.
My apologies.. It was booting to a black screen.. I think I realized the problem, tho when zarboz kernel was updated to work with the new base. Maybe I'm wrong, I still have a lot to learn here... But it flashed and booted..

Yeah most of the kernels we have are for the old base. Have to make sure the bases match.

The new zarboz kernel is supposed to be for the newest base 2.13. Source was released last week.
I having trouble flashing new kernel on meanrom 4.3. I keep getting the black screen as well. S-off running 2.13 firmware bits. I can see the kernel zip on my sd-ext but when I flash I get black screen. Any suggestions.

You don't need to flash a kernal with MR 4.0 and higher just run the 4.3 zip and go and 4.4.2 is OC'ed @ 1.89 and 4.4.3 is OC'ed @1.79 using EvilZ kernal baked in
Ok I just thought it wasnt there because in the settings about phone the kernel version never changed. So is there a way to change governors with this kernal?

4.4.4? If so did you flash the OC on zip? You might be running the stock kernel instead of the custom..
