Hi, was just wondering if their are any resources for flashing the evo back to sprint. I've been out of the game since my original evo and have a friend with the LTE model. He bought it in his store, and since they don't do service with sprint here he flashed it to page plus using Houdini flashing service, then updated it to 4.1.1. I decided I wanted to buy it off of him, but now we can't flash it back to sprint because Houdini doesn't support the 4.1.1 yet. Any other programs to use? Never been rooted or messed with, just flashed, and need it flashed back to sprint so I can use it. Thanks.

Currently, I have the OG EVO on Boost Mobile and it works great but I'm ready to upgrade and wondering if the EVO LTE will be able to be flashed to Boost Mobile. I did all the work myself so I'm more then capable but I'm wondering if the process is any different with this phone. I realize it hasn't been out long but any tips would be great.
There is an Evo LTE on Ebay right now with a bad ESN that would be a candidate for flashing to Boost.

I have already put 3 HTC EVO's on my account so I know what I'm doing. Already have my HA and AAA passwords and all that good stuff saved. I want to know if the process for the EVO LTE is any different from the OG EVO. The way I have to do it is scan for the memory locations in CDMA workshop, cancel out all the ESNs/MEIDs in QDXM and all that stuff. Can you do that on the EVO LTE or is there a different way?

i would love to know this information as well.
search you tube HTC EVO LTE Xtreme Flashed to Verizon prepaid $50
they say they can flash to verizon prepay, boost, cricket
im sure its easy to do....
Actually on the Evo 4G and Evo 3D (which I've flashed both) you don't even need to search for MEID and ESN locations, you could use QPST Explorer to clear out the 0 and 1943 nvm files and that'll clear the MEID and ESN off the phone... WAAAAY easier, that's not totally all but I don't wanna get crap for posting how to change MEIDs lol but I would love to know if that'll work on the 4G LTE because that would be the easiest way to do it. If you don't know how to do that method PM me but that's what I'd really be interested in.

See if build 264 works. Anyone try the open sesame method yet?
Yeah I tried with build 366 haven't tried 264 ill give it a shot and let you know
UPDATE: No luck with open sesame method in build 264. It unlocks the num folder but 0 or 1943 do not appear
Yes. Same results with build 264,301,355 and 366.
Nor will new files via sesame in dfs tool work.
However I'm only rooted still locked.

yeah looks like only option is to get the paid version of cdma ws and use build 264 to write HA/AAA
Yesterday I attempted to do a profile update and it failed. Since then, I've been periodically getting an error, a data call failure. In the past I've fixed this by resetting my data profile by dialing ##DATA# using EPST.
I rooted my phone (finally) in order to fix this, but when I try to use EPST nothing happens. I dial the code and nothing comes up at all. I've tried multiple ESPT.apk files and still nothing.
Has anyone seen this before?
Have you tried flashing another Rom and trying ##3424# again?

I first tried it before I rooted, just to test it out. It didn't work then.
Then I rooted and flashed Haus' 1.22 stock ROM - no luck.
Then I flashed Flex's stock with goodies - still nothing.
Weird. So nothing pops up when you dial ##DATA# right? Doesn't prompt you for password?

Yes, I took the OTA update when it was released.
All out of ideas. Try running the latest ruu and see if that helps. That's all I can think of.

Whatever you do, don't mess with CDMA workshop. I royally [email protected] up my phone yesterday and now its at BB Geek Squad repair.
Sorry about the @, Duce
Update: Just spent almost an hour on the phone with Sprint and they had no idea what was going on. They want me to bring the phone in to have them check, and possibly pay to get it replaced. I'm kind of upset that I may have to pay more money to get a replacement when it's the network's fault that my profile update failed.
I'm going to try a couple more things on my own before I give up.
Yep. Looks like I'm going to need to get a replacement.

I have done it to page plus... It's a Verizonprepaid service with good rates. They are the only prepaid that I know of that doesn't require a
donor phone as they will add your sprint esn to their database. No activation charges so its free to try. Can whip up a guide if anyone is interested

Long story short I bought an EVO LTE that is hot(repo
rted lost or stolen) question is can I flash it to another carrier even tho its reported to Sprint or is there a way to remove the flag on the serierial number don't want to loose 200 bucks and was told by a supervisor at sprint customer care that there is no way to return it to the rightful owner

I have never seen this discussed before but I am in the market for a replacement S4 since my got dropped in water.
I found a S4 that was originally Verizon flashed to Cricket.
Is it possible to flash back to Verizon?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you!!
It was probably flashed to Cricket because the ESN was bad on Verizon. I would run an esn check first or ask the seller for it.

Not addressing the my original inquiry. ESN is already checked and clean.
Currently working through this post but looks like I soft bricked it while trying to flash the stock kernel:
droidforums.net/forum/samsung-galaxy-s4-development/243165-how-root-your-verizon-galaxy-s4.html
Now using Software Repair Assistant to get me back to square one. Rooting it is not difficult but I am uncertain what I need to confirm to make sure it is "flashed" to Verizon, not Cricket. I attempted to switch devices on verizon website earlier and it had no problem with the ESN but I could not get the phone connected to the Verizon network to accept a call so I switched back to my old backup device again.
Am I going at it the right way?
You never said you already checked the ESN. If you updated to the latest firmware, you're SOL.

UDPATE AND NEXT QUESTION:
I am rooted but the S4 does not appear to have the current Verizon radios flashed (it is not connecting to the verizon network).
Does anyone have the latest .zip or .tar file that will flash the radios to a Galaxy S4??
I am comfortable with either format and using ClockWorldMod or Odin to get the job done.
Or am I still SOL??
Thanks!!
