U ve to put the recovery image in yr adb (or whatever u name in folder) under yr c programe files. If u are using HTCdev unlock fastboot folder u would ve name it Ándroid

[Q] (6/30) of Tenfar's CWM .. help plz

hallo..
I have been working on my atrix for 8 hours trying to flash 2.3.4 rom .. anyway, i'm stock at flashing tenfar cwm
when i use cdm after unzipping the last update and run the command : fastboot flash recovery recovery-en-0630-1029.img .. i keep getting the same error again and again which is "fastboot" isnot recognized as internal or external command :S
if someone can help me solve this problem i would appreciate it << i'm sure i'm doing or forgatting something stupied >> thank u in advance
are you running that command from the directory your fastboot.exe files are in?
Where do you put your fastboot file and where do you put your recovery image?
Let's say you have them in the same folder, in C:\flash.
Then when you go to Run\cmd, you need to do CD\ C:\flash
Then you can type in the name of the fastboot file, I think it is recommended to use moto-flashboot, so the command wil be moto-fastboot.exe flash recovery ... ... ...
You most likely download the wrong fastboot file u pronounced got the one for linux. Go look for the on e for windows also make sure you are cd the file.
Atrix4G using XDA Premium app
here is the guide i followed step by step. took me about an hour or so give or take start to finish. i unlocked the BL and flashed everything including KP's 2.3.4 beta 4.5.
if you follow this walkthrough exactly as posted, you shouldnt have any issues.

You should only have used the one. It seems others have been able to correct the issue by simply reformatting the card with the phone, not via a USB connection to a computer.

download a kernel, flash it from fastboot. Then reboot, and your ROM will load. Then fix the SDCARD, and try again.

Pull your battery.. reinsert and hold volume down and the power button. Make sure phone is plugged in or replug in phone if you took it off to reboot. Should be in Hboot now, press power to select fastboot if it is white lettering over blue background. If it is red background your already in fastboot and if connected should say fastbootusb.
1. open a copy of the rom your on either with 7 zip or since your not adding anything to it unzip it .
2. find the folder that says kernel, now you will either see a PH98IMG.zip or you will see a file that his white with a silver circle called boot. That is the raw boot.img. If it is the ph zip simply unzip it and you will see the boot.img.
3. Now , remove the boot.img and place it in the same folder your fastboot is located , generally the place you unlocked with.
4. Then, bring up a command prompt the same way you did to unlock. change directory if needed by cd c:\thenthenameofthefoldrecontainingfastboot.
5. Simply type fastboot boot boot.img
6. you will see sending " size of img".. receiving "size of img ", then writing .. and it will end and tell you how many seconds it took.
Now, simply use the reboot selection from bootloader or with the command prompt type abd reboot and your phone should reboot and you will be back on your rom.
The reason you keep booting to the jBear screen is because the jBear process replaced your KERNEL. You need to find the kernel img file for YOUR operating system or ROM. If you are on GB, find a GB kernel. If on the ICS Leak, you need to find the ICS Leak kernel. If on a ROM, get that ROM's kernel file.
Then the commands on the PC are:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
Another option is to use Hansoon's Rezound All-in-one-kit to flash the stock kernel for you.

no offense, but if you honestly cannot at least search to figure out how to do a fastboot command as simple as fastboot flash, then you should stay clear of s-off...
but that's my opinion.
and I'm really not saying this to be an ass.
just don't want to see you brick your phone.

lol bootloader could brick your device too.
just make sure what you are flashing with fastboot is what you want.
fastboot flash recovery amonra315.img
here are some basics.
what i do is put it on the root of my drive. for this example i will use c:\
what you do is cd to the folder with ADB and Fastboot tools.
1. cd c:\fastboot
2. fastboot reboot bootloader
3. fastboot flash recovery amonra315.img
4 fastboot reboot.
thats it.
uploading a mini fastboot and adb folder with everything you need to get you started. just need to make sure you have ADB drivers install, you can get them from "HTC sync"
give me like 5 min, my work blocks uploads so i need to ftp into it.
EDIT:
Here is the link to the mini adb and fastboot. link

Thanks, I will give this a try. THe amonra.ziip didn't work. Well I don't think it did. I flashed it in the bootloader, rebooted, tried to get into recovery and I get what looks like a syncing green icon, then it turns into the red triangle with exclamation point in it.
It worked. Thanks so much. You were right, the fastboot commands weren't too bad.

[Q] How to install androwook

Hello,
Since my tf201 was getting really slowly I was thinking of putting a custom rom on it, since those are faster(?) than the stock rom. I found out that androwook is a pretty decent custom rom so I wanted to install it, only 1 problem. I have 0 knowledge of this 'Rooting, flashing, fastbooting..." The instructions on how to install it is useless to me. I managed to unblock it by using the asus tool, but thats as far as I got. I have absolutely no idea what to do now, is there any guide on this forum for noobs instead of experts of how to root and install custom roms?
Thanks

Be sure you are at the last stock jb rom, and then
0. Backup your data, and make a factory reset
1. Unlock device by executing the unlock app for TFP with WiFi on
2. Install TWRP
3. Install Hairy Recovery & Upgrade Bootloader
4. Install Hairybean 2.2
For step1 and step2, here is the ref
http://goo.gl/oROU2
After installing TWRP, power off your TFP and power on with volumn down until you see a menu showing RCK, volume up to enter TWRP
Follow the instruction of HB after you boot into TWRP(step3 and step4)

Since ur have a locked bootloader and ur Hboot is 1.40 i dont think u can get out of this without unlocking ur bootloader......
u have to unlock ur bootloader and install custom recovery after that u can flash any Stock nandroid backup(since u have S-OFF) and to get the OTA update flash the stock kernel and recovery then relock ur bootloader.....
that will get u back to stock...
u can refer this post for Unlocking the bootloader

Since ur have a locked bootloader and ur Hboot is 1.40 i dont think u can get out of this without unlocking ur bootloader......
u have to unlock ur bootloader and install custom recovery after that u can flash any Stock nandroid backup(since u have S-OFF) and to get the OTA update flash the stock kernel and recovery then relock ur bootloader.....
that will get u back to stock...
u can refer this post for Unlocking the bootloader
and for TWRP Nandroid backup of stock 4.2.2 here

Prerequisites : android development kit windows and Nandroid backup
download all the files from the post I had mentioned
connect ur phone to PC when on TWRP(recovery mode)
make sure ur device is recognized
do "adb devices"
This will show ur device serial no XXXX as in recovery
do "adb shell" that will enter ur phone storage (exclude the quotes in all the commands)
do "mkdir sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/XXXX/stock" this will create a directory as stock on the following path(replace XXXX with ur device serial number copy from the above result "adb devices")
now do "exit"
u ll be back on platform-tools folder
unzip the nandroid backup u have downloaded and put it in platform-tools folder now push those files one by one using adb push
"adb push system.ext4.win sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/xxxxxxx/stock"
like wise replace the system.ext4.win with all the files u had extracted from the zip
wipe all dalvik, system, cache, and data excluding ur internal storage(don't wipe internal storage which will wipe all the data u have copied)
now go to Restore on TWRP and u ll find the folder stock then just swipe to restore it
once u have done it
reboot to bootloader
flash the kernel from the zip just rename the boot.emmc.win to boot.img and
enter this command
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"
"fatsboot erase cache"
unplug ur device
now reboot ur phone
IT MUST BOOT :good:
The other way of doing is to flash some custom ROM and after that copy the unziped nandroid backup folder to TWRP backup and flash it from recovery

platform-tools folder is when using android development kit
so forget that
since u r using Minimal ADB and fatboot
extract all the files to Minimal ADB and fatboot and push it to phone as mentioned in the post above
i can see u have done that already
if u have copied all the files to the phone restore it from TWRP
and flash the kernel
