Play/pause button functioning but not working - Motorola Droid RAZR

First off let me state what i have going on. I have a droid razr maxx, with the OTA JB 4.1.2. I'm stock rooted currently. I'm also using LG HBS 700 bluetooth headset, which are fantastic by the way. On ICS i had no issues, but now i am. When i use the play/pause button on my headset, the music in my ear stops, but it actually only mutes the music on my phone and the time is still ticking. This happens while using n7player, doubletwist, and play music, also while being used with media button controller, and without media button controller. The play/pause button on my headset used to work on ice cream sandwich, it would stop the music in my ears, and pause the music on the phone. Now it is only muting the music and the track keeps playing.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
i will be checking back frequently so if you need any more details please let me know.
Thanks
Nick

[Q] CM7 headset/bluetooth routing, headset controls and default music app

I finally bit the bullet and moved into world of CM7/MIUI, currently running CM7 nightly build 80 with Glitch v11 LL. There's three separate problems I'm running into.
First in any of the Froyo ROMS Bluetooth audio always takes priority regardless of whether or not a headset is plugged in. With CM7 the headset always gets priority.
Here's the scenario; I've got my headphones in listening to some tunes, get in my car turn on my bluetooth car adaptor. The adaptor connects automatically but audio continues to play through the headphones. The only way I can get it to play via bluetooth is to physically unplug them. That of course pauses the music, really annoying. With all the Froyo ROMS I've run the audio switches to bluetooth automatically, no need to reach into my pocket to unplug the headphones.
Second I just got a new pair of buds with an inline mic and three button controls. I never had a chance to try them on a Froyo ROM but I've heard that at least the Play/Pause button is supposed to work and I've seen some posts on here that indicate CM7 even supports the volume buttons but so far no luck with any of them.
Finally how in the world can I specify a default music player? I generally use 3(Cubed), but in CM7 the lock screen controls as well as bluetooth controls only work for the default player. So if I'm in the car and hit next track on my bluetooth adaptor the phone starts playing two tracks at once! Fun times I tell you fun times.
Other than that I have to say CM7 kicks so much ass, this phone has never been smoother nor has the GPS ever worked this well. If anyone has any suggestions for these rather nagging troubles I'd be forever grateful!

[Q] A2DP/AVRCP , the "Play" button and Google Music

Alright, so this is a bit of a mystery to me. I'm rocking a Sprint Epic4G with the latest Gingerbread leak, although there's nothing that appears to be device-specific (maybe, that why I'm noting the device just in case ).
I have bluetooth enabled all the time and my phone is paired for both headset and multimedia with my car stereo. When I get in the car and hit the play button on the head unit, it randomly decides whether to launch Google Music or Music Player. I can deduce no pattern to which is capturing the AVRCP button press whatsoever.
I would prefer to always launch Music Player (lag is too high to make Google Music useful in the car) but I can't find any settings related to what goes one there.
Any thought folks?
I have a similar question for AVRCP on Google Music...

[Q] Volume control and Endomondo (strange problem)

I'n on stock. Android 2.3.4 - Atrix (european model).
I've met the following (very strange) problem when using Endomondo.
[Endomondo is a sport tracker and has a coach assistant that tells you the time and distance. Furthermore, before starting the workout you can start the phone music player by pushing a button in Endo's main screen.]
The problem is this:
1) If I use the default music player (which is internally called Connected Music Player - CMP.apk), when the time comes for the annunciation (lap time) both music and the audio coach are muted.
I can see that, during the coach notification, the phone volume is automatically changed to zero. After the (inaudible) annunciation the volume comes back to normal.
But using alternative music players things change.
2) Poweramp (trial): I can hear the coach notification. The music is completely muted during the announcement. Music's volume resumes after that. The problem is that Poweramp is not recognized as an alternative music player and I can't set it as the music player started by the Endomondo app music button.
3) musiXmatch (free): It works as I think Endomondo devs intended a music player to work. The music is not completely muted during the announcement but its volume is reduced so that it stays in the background during the coach notification, that is so clearly audible. The music volume comes back to normal after the notification.
After installing it, launching Endomondo and pressing its music button I had a dialogue box asking which music player to use (the default one or the newly installed musiXmatch). I chose the latter one and checked the "always do that" option. So everything is fine with this music player.
It seems that the problem is on the way Endomondo access the phone volume and how it affects both the music player (in the cases 1 and 2) and the coach's voice.
My question: does anybody know if there is there some (hidden) android setting that can fix this issue?
I'll up! your post as I use the same pair of apps, i.e. endomondo (pro) + power amp (full) both latest versions, but came across one more issue in addition to yours, maybe someone could help
I'm on leedroid GB running on htc evo3d gsm and found out that audio trainer behaves in a strange way: the initial sequence "prepare to start, free your endorphins" is the same volume level as poweramp music, but during interval comments (every 1km) music from poweramp gets much louder, as if endomondo caused music app to play at that high level. Don't know which setting might cause this. Endomondo is rather obscure when it comes to audio options, while poweramp just overwhelmes me
I'd buy a beer if there was someone who might answer your problem as well as mine..
well, Id like to know whether endomondo recognizes songs played by poweramp?

[Q] Problem with Bluetooth phone

Hello all,
I am having a problem getting the phone part of my new DNA to work with blue-tooth in my car. The A2DP works great but after I answer or make a phone call with my Car Stereo (eclipse 3200) I cant hear anything and they cant hear me. If I use the dial-pad on the phone to make a call I hear the tones from the button pushes but nothing after the call is connected.
Thanks for any help or suggestions

I have a Sony bluetooth player in my car and it will not even recognize the device.
Edit: It was a user error on my part. I have successfully paired and it works flawless.

My car recognizes and pairs with the DNA, but it will only play the first 1-2 seconds of music, then the radio stops receiving any audio. Sometimes it works properly and will play songs completely, but the majority of the time, it will cut out. I can pause and unpause it, and I'll get 1-2 seconds of music, then it stops again.
Also, any high pitched sounds (ie. cymbals, percussion, etc.) are very distorted. I had this same issue on the Thunderbolt The Galaxy Nexus I had for the past year had no issues and sounded perfect over bluetooth.
I am disappoint.

I think the phone just has bluetooth problems in general, or BT4 is just not 100% backwards compatible. I have a Pioneer stereo, and never had any problems with any of my android devices (OG Droid, Droid X, inc2 and gNex) connecting, but when I connect my DNA, it actually crashes the phone process on the handset and it restarts (the process, not the handset). It still appears to be connected to the stereo after that, but I haven't tried making a call yet.
Stereo doesn't support BT streaming, so I can't test that. Has an SD slot, and that's all I ever use.
I'm having the same problem. My music will play for about 3 seconds, then goes silent. The car says I'm still connected, Google Music is still playing, but it mutes out. Was having fun while driving hitting the pause/play button to listen to a song 3 seconds at a time. Does anyone know if this is a OS problem, hardware problem or incompatibility, or other problem? I didn't see many posts about this elsewhere and haven't heard back from Verizon.

Working fine for me with my Kenwood. Music does skip occasionally, but my other phones (galaxy nexus, thunderbolt) have done that too.

For all of us who suffer a HTC Toyota combo and the dreaded bluetooth pause issue I believe I have found the issue and got a working solution !
From what I gather, the HTC music player sets the bluetooth player state to pause when leaving the music player and most other apps do not set it back to streaming. I found one which does, so a simple solution !
1. Start and stop a piece of music with the Fplay music player and it will reset the bluetooth player state to streaming. I put a widget on the home screen.
2. Start your other apps and enjoy streaming sound again.
3. Enjoy

My headphones wont work ever since ive been on 4.4 kitkat roms such as temaseks CM 11 v38 or v50 and also resurrection remix v5.0.4, what happens is i cant start a song on the default google play music app or doubletwist and it will play through the headphones and when i click the home button the song will continue to play but as soon as i now open up a new app or the music app again or even just touch the status bar or bring up the recent apps menu then the music will just continue playing but no sound will come out of the headphones but as soon as i go back to home then it plays fine through the headphones instantly again. this only happens with 2 pairs headphones and not with my samsung earphones which has an inbuilt mic and also volume control on it unlike the headphones could this be linked to the problem please help thanks.
