Eh03 rom
Atlas_v2.2 pit
Latest cm7.2/gapps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho... could it be my sdcard?
thanks for the help!

Idk much about cm7 but I suggest moving to something newer like cm10.1 (4.2.2) you wont be disappointed its fast, more stable than any GB ROM, and its on the latest version of android

(Solved) Running CM
Well something worked, I'm running CM. I went and re downloaded the rom and gapps directly to the phone and bam, things went off without a hitch, seems it was a major case of user error .

Anyone can help?i would like to post at the westcrip's thread, but my point not enough
well the ics is still in beta stage till samsung launches new official firmware ...
i have tryed a lot of ICS roms, but i'm stil on GB because i need a stable phone for daily use.

It's great to read this, inthe future with this situations follow the advice of chr15j it's good to!
i did a few ICS roms as well but went back to GB, am now on >> PhonandroidRom v1.0- Siyah Kernel -Based MIUI. Pretty stable for me...
this is completely unrelated and i'm an absolute nooblet but I just need a quick answer. I have this rom on my phone but I want to unroot and go back to stock. Am I right in thinking I can just flash a stock samsung gingerbread rom onto the device just using odin and it will unroot it and be fine? Just want to check before I steam ahead and because this is an ICS rom.
Thanks guys.

Yes, you may need to go back to a suitable kernel also. Using Odin should be very easy.
hello
I tried all the roms remis since 8.5
i find remix 9.4 verry good .the main problem is about chainfire kernel which has to be more developped
for ICS roms, I don't find kernels like Siyah or nymphetamine which are good with GB
now we must wait a new version of XXLPH rom
I tried yesterday Remix 9.5 but too much bugs with CWM and I went back to R 9.4
I tried others roms than Remix (omega,Criskelo,CM9,Foxhound) ,I found Foxhound 0.3 good but still more buggy than R9.4 ( cannot synchronize contacts with outlook)
br46
SGS2 with remix 9.4
Well, not only the chainfire kernel has to be more developed, but also all the custom ones...
i especially miss a perfect working siyah and neak one on ics!
hoping the devs are on it already! ^^
Try :Resurrection Remix ics v1.0, it should be out any moment now.....

[Q] gt-p7500 bootlop

hello i have a problem, i have a samsung galaxy tab 10,1 3g/64gb tablet
i rooted it ,and did a nandroid backup ,then i flashed CM9 KANG built for the GT-P7500 (3G) and it worked nice until it suddenly freezed some times
so i desided to go back to orginal rom (nand backup) i did wipe partitions as i should.
but when restored and booted first time it gets in a bootloop where the samsung logo shows.
fine i go back to the cm9 kang that i also did a nandrod backup of
but i get the same results there too a bootloop
does anyone have a solution to this problem?
ps:i do get into cwmod and have the latest version
best regards
kenny
I have the exact same tablet, but I don't experience any freezes o.o How is that you do? Flash the p4 build by Roman, works flawlessly on mine.
You end up in a bootloop only because the kernel is ICS from your previous flash but it should be overwritten via nandroid.
I think you need a stable HC base, Update to 3.2 HC then install CWM again, then finally ICS Kang.
I have no freezes or hangup's
Hello and thanks for the reply but. i did a odin flash insted.
I think that when i flashed CM9 KANG it did something with the partitions
I haven flashed CM9 aokp and it works like a charm

Custom ROM or update ?

A friend of mine asked me to flash his phone with a new ROM. He's still on the original ROM that came with the phone, rooted. But is complaining about the phone being very laggy.
Would you suggest to just update the phone to the latest stock ROM, or which stable ROM would you suggest to flash?
Any nightly build is out of question, as well as any ICS ROM, since I believe they are all in Alpha/Beta version. He will no be playing constantly updathing his custom rom to the latest build, so I just want to flash an already stable ROM, better than a stock solution.
Thanks for your input.

Cm7 rc1. Enough said lol.
Custom rom of course. I prefer nottachtrix, since its stable and 2.3.6 android with blur.
Sent from my MB860
Unlock bootloader and flash Nottachtrix 1.3.1.
If you flash that, also flash the fixed 2.3.6 webtop afterwards.

CM7 RC 1. No blur to slow it down.

[Q] Flashing rom from Froyo

Hi, I successfully flashed my T-mobile Vibrant about twelve months ago to a custom 2.2 Froyo rom (Trigger 3.2 Final). It's a great rom and EVERYTHING works. However lately I've read rave things said about newer roms such as ICS passion. It's been a while and I'm still a noobie at this so my question is:
What is the easiest way to get to ICS passion from my current custom Froyo rom ? Thanks ~ Chris
hi,
Its very easy to get ICS running on your vibe. There may be various ways to proceed. I ll give you what I did (AFTER failing for 5-6 times )
Odin back to stock (It may be not necessary. But I started from the beginning which is better AFAIK )
Then stored ICS ROM (ICZen which in my case) and update.zip (CWM) on internal SD
then flashed GB Bootloaders (It also may/ may not necessary. But I did it b/c I already had many failed attempts)
Then flashed CM7 first
After that flashed ICS on top of it
Worked at last for me
NOTE: Please read relevant instructions provided by ROMs b/c flashing one may differ from flashing another.
You can find more information if you run into problems in my thread [SOLVED]Cannot install ICS ROM--please HELP

You may just want to read this before flashing ICS. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580902

^^^ Truth
And I would suggest staying away from Passion. It is based on 4.0.3 and there was a pretty significant code upgread when ICS went to 4.0.4.
IIRC, Passion is the last ROM that still uses 4.0.3 and is probably why it is dead now (but for some reason lives in infamy on YouTube and Google Search).
Haarsh's way works just fine but here is another method as another option too.
Thanks
Thanks for the replies. This is why I subscribed to the forum.
mmm... I see a few pitfalls ahead.
Background info from me is that I can't use Odin on my Linux computer. Never really got into Heimdall. I flashed my first rom by downloading the rom zip file and put it on my phone's internal sd card then let clockwork do the rest, ie nandroid backup and flash the rom from the update zip. I'd like to do the same again.
Ok, it's my understanding that anything above 2.2 needs the GB bootloader so the first step is to install that over my Trigger rom. I think Trigger would still run with the GB bootloader at that stage. Next download an update zip of a rom of my choice, put it on my phone's sd, then flash it with Clockwork.
Seems to me that should work or am I missing something I wonder ?
You can flash the GB bootloader. Its backward compatible so it will work with any ROM currently available.
Download the .zip of the ROM you want, and any Gapps if applicable. Then just follow the instructions on page 1 of the ROM (OP).
The usual would be Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Clear Cache, Clear Dalvik. Flash ROM, flash Gapps, restart. The instructions will tell you all you need to know.
If something goes wrong, give us a shout. That's what we're here for.
help me plz

Stable Rom

I would like to install a rom on my recently purchased galaxy facinate. I need to use the bluetooth and gps a lot, so I need a rom that has both of those working very well. What is the best stable rom to use for this? I have installed roms on previous phones and have had troubles with various functions, but I'm certain someone out there must know a good and stable one that noob like me could use.
Thank you for your time.
First take a look through this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132986 as it's a recent discussion about the same thing. Anyway, I would personally recommend CM 10.1 as I've been on it for a while now and it's rock solid (I've used BT and GPS on it too).
I want to make sure I use the proper instructions/files, I have found mixing up the roms can cause me troubles in past builds. I found these instructions on the forums, are those links still accurate for the CM10.1 build or do you know of a better installation method. Im focusing mostly on ...
--------
Step 2: Download ICS Teamhacksung Build 1 or 2 to the root of your devices sd card.
--------
but if you don't mind setting my mind at ease that I should use those files and then flash CM10.1 on top of those files/steps it will save me some headaches I'm sure. Again thank you for your time.
Step 1: Download these files to your pc:
Odin- http://www.mediafire.com/?5y0vkhz85w3j4cz
Samsung Driver- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25089906/SAM...ile_Phones.exe
CWM4 fixed for cm7- http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...2&d=1311907538
Stock EH03 rom- http://www.imnuts.org/downloads/fasc..._GB_CM.tar.md5
Atlas_v2.2 pit- http://www.mediafire.com/?r2mi80911vgjjjz
GB bootloaders- http://goo.gl/6aJ1N (this needs to be extracted with a program such as 7zip)
Step 2: Download ICS Teamhacksung Build 1 or 2 to the root of your devices sd card.
THS Build 1- https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69414229/fa...eng.BUILD1.zip
It looks like you pulled that from droidstyle's guide, which is exactly where you needed to go and everything is accurate.
About the THS flash... well, different people here seem to have different experiences. On my device I don't flash THS before installing anything, I go directly from flashing CWM4 to flashing whatever I want to and have no issues, but there have been people on here who get errors that way. If it makes you feel better to flash THS before CM 10.1 then go for it, it won't hurt anything, it'll just take longer.
This whole process is not something you should have to do again unless you really mess something up, once you're on CM 10.1 you only need to reboot into recovery, wipe data/davlik/cache and flash whatever other rom you want to. There are a lot of good roms available that you might want to check out, in fact one of the more popular roms Paranoid Android just came out with a new version that looks pretty good.
This phone is hard to break, just don't get careless and you'll be fine honestly.
do you need to install gapps in addition to the cm10.1 nightly? and to verify you installed cm10.1 directly after cm7 skipping gbbootloader and teamhack installs?
I also found these set of instructions that seem easier, would this be the better way to go?

Yes, you do flash gapps after installing cm10. You do it immediately after flashing the ROM in recovery, no need to reboot first (better not to, in fact).
Process-wise, I've never reached for Heimdall, always used Odin, but the cm wiki article looks like a more tedious process to me...
Once you've got the USB drivers + Odin installed, and the various flashable files handy, we're only talking a few steps to go from stock to cm10.1.
Do note that after you've got JT's clockwork recovery installed, the cm instructions say to flash your cm ROM directly without flashing the older THS ROM first .

I just bought a Samsung Fascinate and was also wondering what people are using.
I tried the latest 4.22 versions of Hellybean and JellyBro. about the only thing I noticed was that the overclock setting on Hellybean had a top range of 1.4 GHZ and JellyBro topped out at 1.2.
