Well did you try calibrating the screen?
Your title says rhod500, and your body text says rhod400. Which phone do you have?
What android rom are you trying to use?
Details?

while charging using the dell dock or via the dell usb plug, after a while the phone freezes.... then i have to pull the battery... happens every time i put the DS5 for charging....
i am using the CM7 rom...

anyone?
Try wiping batt with streakmod.

so far so gud...
the random reboot is back, just wanted to know anyone thats running CM7 using the dell's dock to charge have the same issue...?
it just freezes, either a battery pull or about a 5-10 min wait for the next reboot is what i can do to start using the phone back again....
because of this the alarms don't get to ring in the mornings...

Would it have been too much trouble.to include in your post what settings you are using now? Without that I have no way to answer you

it wouldnt have been a trouble at all if u had asked me what i currently run on the DS5 ... so i know that would need to be answered in my reply....

Max:1075Mhz

No one should ever have to ask anyone what system is on their phone... the poster with some sense should include it... but people looking for handouts rarely think about stuff like that
Anyway, raise the minimum up to 275
PS: you should also include what ROM you have installed
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 2
His first post mentions CM7. Still, you would think that people would provide the relevant information without being asked. It does make solving issues that much easier.
haha nice one cdzo72,
but seems like u are one of the people yourself that u were talking about, as noted in my first post....
well how about u go and " READ IT "....?
;p cdzo72 am just having "fun" sarcasm's here... hope ur not offended.... anyway i am going to raise the settings up like u said....
issue is. as the streak is docked onto the dells on charging station, the Dell Stage shows up... the one posted here, n then in some time say about 10-15 mins the DS5 just either reboots or just freezes....

OK so its not when you try to revive it or wake it up then...
Have you tried flashing _n0p_'s kernel for CM7 and MIUI?
That would be about the extent of the advice I can give you except for maybe freezing the Desk Clock app and letting the Streak stay at the launcher when docked to see if it acts differently
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 2
yeah cdzo72, i have flashed them too....
well as per ur advice will try removing the dell stage n just keep the launcher active....
hmmm i am using the cm7 (dsc kernel) with the dock too
but i didnt noticed a reboot when i put it into the dock..... i just noticed that the streak doesnt goes into the dock mode....
maybe u should reinstall cm7 starting with the stock 407 rom and dont forget to wipe the data etc... with streakmod

[Q] Dead Active

Hey, everyone.
I'm trying to fix my brother's Active and not having much luck. I've been doing intermediate level android stuff since the HD2, so I'm not quite a rookie at troubleshooting. He said that he was at school, checked his texts, then the screen went out. So, that's where I'm at. I can't even really tell if it's a software error or a hardware error. The phone turns on, vibrates and the LED lights and that's about it.
Thanks for any help
Looks like it's bricked... but I'm not expert enough to say that for sure.

If you had unlocked bootloader: Flashtool
If you had locked bootloader: Update Service and try repairing the firmware.
Both ways, you lose your data.
try to repair it via SEUS or pc companion or otherwise send it in to repair

See my tutorial to root (Check Signature). There in the first step, you will learn how to flash a ROM using flashtool. Choose and firmware of your choice, and taking help of the tutorial flash it using flashtool.
For another tutorial you can check someguyfromhell's sticky at this forum.
Thanks,

No, thankfully I didn't make THAT mistake, or my previous post probably would have been my last ever. I charged it and, unfortunately, am back to square one. Same as the original problem

2.modding history of the phone.(like root or unlock bootloadet)

The phone does absolutely nothing except vibrate a tiny bit when you turn it on. So the most frustrating part, to me, is I can't really tell if it's a hardware error or software. I'm leaning toward software because even after I let it boot for a long time, I can't get the screen or any of the buttons to cause a vibration. BUT I also don't know if my brother had it set to vibrate on the lock screen like I always do.
From messing around with Flashtool I found out the bootloader is unlocked, but nothing custom has been done to it.

Okay, let says the screen got problem.the screen just have blank display right?
Try to put a sim card that doesn't have security pin when turn on.
After turn on wait for a few minutes and the try to call it.if the phone rings.the display surely defective.

Hmm I think you can open your phone (DON'T DO IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH HARDWARE) and take the LCD screen and take it to nearest service shop to check whether it's working or not...and other possibility that your phone screen cannot be turn on is the screen power might got shot and burnt (like black out in a house, the power supply is shot )

what ROM and Kernel are you using? checked OC settings? any additional apps running in the background without your knowledge? any recent apps you have installed?

I'm not sure what you mean by Kernel as I'm new to androids, was an iOS user ..
How to check if apps are running without my knowledge?
Yes there are many apps I recenly got!
Get better battery stats from the play store, and let it run for a charge cycle.
Also turn off all the silly Samsung stuff like face awake etc etc
Does a reboot help?

a sign that some hungry app is churning away in the background, that's why I suggested bbs to help find the cause.
This kind of thing is nearly always a rogue process, just a matter of getting to know your new os and learning its ins and outs

Hi.
I had the same problem with one SGS3 from two I bought.
The one worked fine, but the second restart twice and more a day. I changed it in the shop. But the problem was still there. The akku was hot and after 2 hours without any input the akku was 0%.
I changed the phone the second time in the shop.
But also this device had the problems, sometimes the phone doesn't see the akku.
Then I had the idea, I looked into the device pressed the akku with my thumbnail and the akku worked.
With a little paper I fix the akku and everything is fine until today.

Could be a calibration issue, charge till the led turns green then wait another 30mins, boot into recovery with the plug still charging the phone, wip cache/.dalvik, reboot, do not remove the cable until the phone has fully booted up.
