Hey guys,
I just recently discovered the MIUI custom ROM for Android - and i've just fallen in love with it... Unfortunately I am new to this concept of installing custom ROM, and have a few crucial questions. The first one being - is it possible to even install this ROM on my android? I have purchased imported phone, from China (the W007 Android); For this I have done quite a bit of looking around, but unfortunately (where ever I have found a download link) for the MIUI- their all just specific versions (for specific phones). I am sooo interested in installing this onto my phone, but I cannot find a valid version for my phone... The Phone Details Follow:
Android Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Version: MAUI.11AMD.W11.50.SP.V14, 2012/04/20 17:38
Kernel Version: 3.0.13 Sat Jun 9 13:12:07
Build Number: ALPS.ICS.MP.V1.11
Model Number: e1809c_v75_jbl_253
(Please just ask me for anything that is needed)
Second question was... Will I need to Root my phone, inorder to install this custom rom? I was asking this as, I believe that the warranty for the phone becomes void, if it is Rooted?
If you guys could please help me out with this little problem - It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced. :fingers-crossed:

Hi you have tested MIUI Rom in your W007? It's work?
Dear friends:
I've recently bought a BizzBook B1i with the following specs:
Model Number : Android for Telechips M801 Evaluation Board
Android version ; 2.3.3
Baseband version : E1750
Kernel Version : 2.6.35.7-tcc
[email protected] # 432
Build number
Full_m801-eng 2.3.3GRI40 20110715.110620 test-key
The problem is NOTHING works on this tab, say contacts, calendar, bluetooth, phone, voice search. Most of the application files are missing say I have seen Contacts provider but there is no contact.apk or say when I try to open phone application Err: Activity not found : com.android.phone.
I've taken it to service center they re-installed the OS, but still applications are not working. Now, after some research, I have come to know, that these devices can be re-installed with proper OS file or update to the new version os OS. Its on JB now. My questions are:
1. Is there a way to download a full version of JB so that I can flush my ROM
2. or is there a way to upgrade my tab with latest version ?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Regards
Hi all
I've rooted and flashed my past few HTC devices without issue thanks to all the great info here, but have now stumbled onto a more challenging android handset!
My nephew has purchased a cheap HTC One M8 copycat from a market seller here in Taiwan, with the expected result being that he's somewhat disappointed with the end result! It's now fallen to me to see if I can do anything with it. Since it's a copycat I have absolutely no idea what it really is on the inside.
I ran VROOT on it as I heard that worked quite well with Spreadtrum devices which I gathered this to be. VROOT was successful in rooting it, but since then is unable to connect or recognise the device. In Windows Device Manager I can see the phone connected as a YunOs phone, but there is still an incomplete (yellow exclamation marked) Spreadtrum device that has yet to install correctly.
I've included below all of the information that I can get from the handset - if anyone thinks its possible to flash any kind of standard AOSP rom onto this device I'd be glad to hear any and all advice you can give!

There really is not much you can do. No kernel source or even stock roms for it.

That was what I feared. In that case I will use it as an excellent opportunity for experimentation and potentially irreversible damage!
For anyone stumbling onto this thread, here are the resources I've found so far to help you out.

Hello,
I got a new Runbo Q5 rugged outdoor smartphone:
http://en.runbo.net/productview.php?id=226
It comes with:
Android version: 5.1
Kernel version: 3.10.65
Custom build version: A106_DT800_Runbo-EN_6M_20151218_V6.4
I'm trying to root it, but so far with no success. I already used the following "simple-auto-rooting-tools":
Android APK version of http://kingroot.net
Desktop version of http://www.rootgenius.com
KingRoot Desktop version of http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
None of them is working. Has anybody some experiences in rooting a Runbo Q5? What would be the next steps if I'm thinking about digging more into this and trying to do it by myself?
Thanks in advance!

Soft bricked Runbo Q5
Hello, i recently bought a Runbo Q5 which during unrooting became soft bricked.
I cannot find online a stock firmware since my processor is the MTK6735.
Can anyone help with a link to a correct rom.
Thank you in advance
Need custom recovery
This one not listed in both TWRP and cwm. Any one could help to flash custom recovery?
Hi, Xda Devs
I would like to ask if anyone of you has experienced password lockout on Xtreme Play Generation 2 MST-711, though i think of flashing this device would be my last resort because as far as i know the tab doesn't come with Android Recovery Mode support hoping that would be my solution on fixing such a minor problem, it means that key combinations like volume + plus power button is not working. Is there any available stock rom for this device? or any equivalent stock rom that works fine with my device that can be downloaded? or is there any other way on how to fix this.
Specs:
Model: MST-711
Android: 4.1.1 (JellyBean)
Processor: ARM Cortex A8
Kernel Version: 3.0.8+
Build Number: JRO03C-20140313
Hope i get a help here, Thank you in advance
