Factory reset v20B - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hi folks, i have a weird question.
I had v10h firmware rooted and then according to tutorial i upgraded to v20b still keeping root. So my question is, can i perform factory reset again without loosing root?
tapatapa z P760

Install voodoo rootkeeper and back up your root. You should still be rooted after factory reset. But it's never sure. You can do the same with supersu app, it keeps toot.

[Q] Unable to unroot after Update

My phone was rooted using Super One click prior to updating to 4.1.57. I updated my Atrix without unrooting. The update took, but now I'm unable to unroot my phone. No mods were installed. Only Titanium back up. Please help. How do I remove superuser? I tried using Super One Click, but it states "running psneuter."
I had to do a factory reset after updating my rooted phone in order to get all the apps that I had frozen with TI backup. The reset also removed the superuser app icon.
Thanks, but factory reset failed to remove super user for me.
root atrix
to my feel exactly the same with my atrix and not to restore it to values of manufactures have been able to remove the root icon.
Thank you if you find the solution the make me know and I hare the same with you

[Q] Install V20f on P769 Poorly unrooted Optimus

Hey everybody, first post. Anywho, I rooted my phone on version 4.0.4 and I used the lelus method, and once I got the phone to root everything was fine. I wanted to update to jb so I went into busybox or superuser, and unrooted and it gave me an error, and of course I don't remember the error. My root access is gone but things that were in the root like a custom boot animation are still there, i'm not sure if thats normal but now when I try to update to V20f and get an exclamatory android and a reboot. I already tried a factory reset and hard reset but I still can't update. Thanks!
Have you tried using the lg support tool? Thats how i updated without wiping everything. After that tuns, ifyou are trying to still have root, run lgpwn.apk, and lg-recovery-installer.apk. works like a charm

[Q] Factory reset after following "How to Update to VRUEMJ7 and Keep Root" guide?

[Q] Factory reset after following "How to Update to VRUEMJ7 and Keep Root" guide?
I followed the "How to Update to VRUEMJ7 and Keep Root" guide and had a question about doing a factory reset afterwards. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I do a factory reset, I will lose root and won't be able to re-root since VRUEMJ7 does not have a root method. Correct?
The reason I ask is because I've been having weird issues with a few apps showing graphics artifacts and then crashing (namely Google Now and 1Weather). For example, when I open up Google Now, the "cards" start to slide in and then I get graphics artifacts and then it closes. No error, no force close message, nothing. However, it doesn't always do it and if I go back a second time to Google Now, it usually opens just fine.

No. A FDR or factory data reset, is just that.
A reset but doesn't change the system partitions of the phone only resets the parameters and accounts.
There are multiple ways to lose root but unless you manually unroot, install an OTA, reinstall the OS via KIES or Odin, you retain root.
You will have to reinstall supersu or whatever root manager you use, unless you converted it to a system app. Then the fdr wouldnt touch it.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.

No OTA after Factory Reset

Hey Guys, Yesterday i made a Factory Reset because of some stability problems. Now there is no OTA for the newest Firmware. What can i do without Root?
Thanks
Factory reset wouldn't get rid of OTA if you previously already updated.

Xperia Z2- Root Lost After Factory Restore

Unable to unroot and root issues!
Hi there,
So I recently performed a factory reset on my sony xperia z2 while it was still rooted with kingo root to update my phone. I realized this was a mistake and I should've removed the root first using the kingo software (kinguser) before performing the factory reset. Now I keep getting the following message from root checker (Sorry! root access is not properly installed on this device). I've tried everything to remove the root and reinstall root (Kingo Root fails every time) but nothing seems to work. Is there a way to manually remove all kingo root files? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank Youu
If no files needed use sony pc companion to fix z2 it'll put a fresh system. But keep in mind I'll erase all

Hmm...a simple factory reset does not update the phone, though it will wipe all your settings, basically returning your phone to its factory state. What version of Android were you on when rooted? What version are you on now? Did you take an over-the-air (OTA) update?
