I don't see why it wouldn't work on AOSP roms.
On my GS3 wireless charging worked no matter if I was on TW or AOSP so I don't understand why there would be an issue on the Note 2. I could just be a idiot though. Seeing how it shouldn't have to have any drivers or special coding to charge, as far as I know, it should charge just fine. Maybe it's your battery or the contacts under the battery door aren't making the best connection. It could also be your mat you're using. It could also be the N2 requires something special whereas the GS3 didn't.

Ye i dunno man it works fine on tw roms and aosp makes all the looks of charging even says its getting like 635ma of current on cm and now on liquid it says like 898ma also on cm it would charge while it was powered off the little battrry icon would pop up bit now on liquid it pops up but doesnt make the charging animation just a battery with a little circle thing i dont gota clue lol its nota deal breaker its just super convienent and in the living room the wife always hogs the charger for her thunderbolt and my wireless pad just sits there wanting to be used lol

which ROM is closest to a true froyo 2.2

I have been searching all over the net for a reason why my OEM Samsung navigation mount is not functioning the way it should. Anyone that have this car dock knows what I am talking about. THe audio doesn't work coming out of the dock's 3.5 output.
It does say on the paperwork that it requires 2.2 for it to function correctly. I am running Nero v3 with voodoo. Which is 2.2 based. But maybe something was missed from the actual Froyo OS that enables this feature. I love this ROM and would love to keep it on my phone. But if anyone has this dock and is using a ROM that allows the audio to function from the dock to car stereo PLEASE let us know how you got it to work.
I have tried re-flashing, tried both the Nero car home, and the Samsung car home, changing the usb settings to media player, setting it to TV out thinking the audio for TV function sends audio through miniusb..
Nothing works!!!
JL5 leak..
That's odd. I'm on Nero V3 /voodoo. When I use my navigation it comes out of the car speakers. I use an aux cable to connect my phone to my car stereo. I don't use the dock but it seems like the same concept.

I second that... however, i noticed that sometimes if i am playing music or using navigation and through my car speakers, and i decide to plug in the charger, the sound turns off, until i unplug the aux cable from the headphone jack on the phone and plug it back in. Maybe that's the problem...
I guess a better question would be... What 2.2 ROM will allow the audio out through the usb so that the car and home docks will work properly with the audio out on them?
not really. i apologize if i came across as being rude. i was jus like him, i used to open thread instead of using the search w/o knowing what i kno now. I had to figure things out on my own and theres an epidemic of threads opened by ppl asking questions answered already in other threads. this was mentioned in the town meeting forum. Im not flaming bcuz thats against the rules, but im jus letting u kno before u run into a real douche bag on here. trust me i ran in to alot of them in the Mytouch forum. But all in all, no harm intended.
Im on Macnut R14 and i listen to pandora thru aux jack on car cd player with no problem. I think that issue was fixed after jk2
Let me make it more clear. The 3.5 jack on the phone works. When I place the phone into the oem car dock, the dock is supposed to pull audio from the phones mini usb. And port it through the docks audio out (3.5). Froyo was supposed to make this work. Since I am running nero v3. I figured it would work. I obviously figured wrong.
Furthermore, if there is an answer to this problem please direct me to it without being pompous.
I am greatful for the help I have gotten from a lot of very nice people. ( not just on this thread) but what I don't need is someone giving me a hard time because there old lady stopped putting out, or they hate their crappy job installing satellite dishes.

The official JL5 leak is pretty good, but after using JL5-based Axura 2.2.5.7 for three days, I think that is the best ROM available (that's based on Samsung). I tried Nero v3 and it was weird and unstable.

First of all, there is absolutely no need to troll threads like this. If you do not have anything productive to say, don't bother posting.
Also, don't be such a pretentious douche. You seem to think that you are an expert when it comes to this, but in fact, this post just showed how much of a noob you are. The OP asked for a 2.2 ROM. JI5, and all the JI releases are 2.1. Only the JK and JL releases are 2.2.
OP, just search stock JL5 and it should be one of the first links.

Maybe you should just ignore them? Or maybe not post questions in the development section??
Anyways, it works for me on 2.2 FroYo, but I have it plugged straight to the car audio, not through some dock..

They're all based on Samsung builds because we don't have Froyo source yet for the Vibrant... Thanks Samsung... The exception is Cyanogenmod, but it's still missing modules and drivers that are not open source...

Sorry, I searched Q&A. And I posted there last week. I figured I would try here. Because it was development related about a ROM. Not only that but if there isn't a solution maybe a dev could look closer and find out what is different between the ROMS.
Anyways, sorry again. Now I know.
Thanks for the help.

I think this is the problem. I will try a few other ROMS.
The dock is great aside from the audio issue. Automatically detects phone when you out it in and opens car home app. I will be very happy when I find a solution. They had the same problem with the desk dock.

You could always try ripping the components that aren't working for you from the nexus one build of cyanogenmod 6.1.2, chances are it will help.

My audio works on my home dock but only if I have desk home open and run the media player through the desk home app. Like you said 2.2 was supposed to fix this, you'd think Nero would also apply.

[Q] Battery Life/Sense question.

Lurked here for a long time across 4 android phones, want to say thanks first. Just finally got around to making an account... Anyway, I have a few questions about ICS on the amaze that I haven't been able to find threads about specifically, so I'm asking for a bit of help from the smart people here.
First, I am under the impression that sense eats my battery life more than android without sense. Is this true? It seems like a fairly resource heavy GUI, but I could just be stupid and not know anything about this at all! If it does eat resources more than a stock interface, what ROM could I use to have ICS and not have sense? As with almost all sense users I've seen, battery life is a huge issue.
Second, and this is somewhat specific to this phone, but the bluetooth seems to suck. My wife and I both have the same phone (amaze), and I just bought a new 2012 civic which comes with bluetooth. Everyone else's phone works great, tried an iPhone and a pair of different androids, but mine drops the call from the bluetooth to the phone back and forth. Better yet, if you're listening to music on the phone when the call returns to the bluetooth via the stereo the music keeps playing, which adds to the fun. So, does ICS offer any bluetooth enhancements? I kinda bought this specific trim level for the car for the bluetooth functionality. The weird thing is, it works GREAT for streaming audio. Spotify/Pandora have totally replaced my antenna. Just the calls drop back to the handset :-(
Thanks for any and all help, hopefully some day I can contribute and not just ask questions!

i use ICS Energy Rom battery life is awesome on it with some battery saver apps installed one full charge can last me 2days with wifi on all the time GPS is on when i go on a hot date lol
as far as ur Bluetooth goes ummm maybe cause of the rom ur using i never used Stock amaze rom no THANK YOU useless B.S
your best bet is to try out different roms or use the app market from google play like Bluetooth apps
i really didn't help you tho just gave some ideas
One thing I can certainly attest to being better in ICS is the BT signal. I have had no issues whatsoever in regards to that.
I couldn't get more than 3 feet away from my phone without cutting out on GB.

[Q] New to the Rezound and HTC phones in general; A few questions

Back story:
I'm used to only having only a few/a small amount of choices for roms. My first Android phone was an LG Ally which had only 2 or 3 major devs. Then I moved to a Droid 2 which has a medium size amount of devs specifically for the Droid 2 and it benefited from anything that the Droid X had. Still, there are only a around 20ish roms total, alot of them being CM/AOSP based. Then I got a Kindle Fire, and still, there aren't a ton of roms, maybe 10ish good ones(Once again, most are CM/AOSP based, so they're pretty close). One thing i've noticed about many of the HTC phones is that there are a ton of roms to choose from. I've tried out a few already, but I haven't found one that I feel quite right with.
Tl;dr:
What rom do you feel is the best, and for what reasons?
I would like something with Sense, and preferably ICS, but i'm not against GB. What rom has a good mix of battery life and performance?
Second question:
I've mainly been trying out the Sense 4 roms, but battery life has been horrible. After an hour of just playing music I was at 50%. Is this a Sense 4 issue? An ICS issue? Or is it GB too?
Also, I don't have service, so it's not like the 4g or 3g was eating up the battery.
Third question:
Any way to get rid of the huge, ugly "No SIM" thing on the lockscreen without getting a SIM card?
Fourth question:
Any tweaks/mods/tools that you consider musts, or ones that are little known?
Nevermind, I should have searched this first, found some info lol.
**Ignore**Also, why does the Rezound have such a weird charge port?

Thanks. I actually got it offa eBay and they didn't send a cord with it, so at first I was like "Now I have to go and buy a cord and wait for that too" then I decided to try one of the micro usb cables I had and was surprised that it worked
Also, you think your internet is slow?

Haha, we have the fastest internet available to us too. Only Verizon has lines in our apartment complex, and the owners won't let anyone else lay down lines and they won't let Verizon put FIOS lines in. We only have 3 choices, 3mbps, 1.5mbps, or dial up lol. And one of the tech guys at Verizon said that most people don't get their max speed and we're lucky that we do.
1.8 max is crazy lol.
Anywho, back on topic. xD

I just got my rezound off ebay. Pulled off back cover and found crumpled up tinfoil on the top left corner... is this some wifi hack? Or is this a known jerry rig fix for something broken?
I am probably going to remove it.

[Q] Liquid Smooth/Note mhl problem

Hey dudes/dudettes,
I've been searching this thread all day (as well as google and bing) for my problem. I hope i'm not double posting, but in all my searching i only found two guys that asked my question but never saw an answer. I have a not so cheap MHL adaptor (probably because i bought it at Radio Shack) that was working great before my switch to the Liquid Smooth JB v2.0 RC7. As of right now i only get charge, no video out. i've tried locked screen then plug, unlocked then plug, and two different TV's and still no dice. Can anyone help me here? if you know of a thread i'll gladly do the reading. I played around with my phone in the force tablet ui mode for a while, not sure if that could have messed with anything. Also i have the SetCPU app running the stockinteractive profile if that matters. Any help here is really appreciated. thanks people.

thats what i'm notincing too, just switched to CM10 from liquid, both were really smooth, i have to say that CM10 is just a bit snappier and for some reason i'm getting better reception with it. Any idea if MHL support is being worked? Thanks for the reply by the way

[Q] Battery life experience with non TouchWiz ROMs?

Hey everyone. I've rooted all of my previous phones and loved to play around with ROMs. I was always kind of a flash addict. I think I've had my Note II long enough to start messing around with it. I'm putting off the OTA update that Verizon keeps trying to send me so I can use AdamOutler's unlock without having to wait for an update, but I do have a big looming question.
The main reason I want to root is so I can use a non TouchWiz ROM. I hate TouchWiz. I don't use 95% of the features, I haven't touched the S-Pen in 3 months, and I find it absolutely hideous. I want me some Holo. I've done a bit of reading on the subject and it sounds like - since AOSP based ROMs are not optimized for the phone's hardware - I may see a big hit to battery life.
I use my phone quite a bit. Depdending on the day, I may be streaming for 6+ hours with 5-7 hours of screen time, and right now it lasts all day and more. I usually put it on the charger with at least 20% left after heavy use, 50% or more after medium use. I don't really want to give up a significant amount of battery life.
So, people who are using non TouchWiz ROMs (Cyanogen? Is there anything that you'd recommend that's better/similar for this phone?), what kernel/ROM combination are you using and how is your battery life compared to what it was stock? I'm not planning on doing any overclocking, the hardware is plenty fast for my tastes. I just want a non-TouchWiz Android experience without sacrificing my battery.
Possible? Thanks in advance.
I found the battery life to be generally poor. I think sbrissen has a fix in the pipe to improve battery, but it hasn't made it to the ROMs yet. There are other things that didn't work well for me either...GPS and Bluetooth both had issues for me, but they're working fine for others, so it's probably hardware differences.
In general though, ROMs with the Paranoid Android Hybrid Engine really shine on this phone. I'm a sucker for PAC-man (so many options), but there are a couple of other ROMs that have it as well, including Paranoid Android itself.
im running carbon with matrix kernel underclocked and tweaked. i have great battery life, honestly i didn't know there was a difference between TW and ASOP when it comes to battery life.
Thanks for the reply. So ParanoidAndroid ROMs are some kind of hybrid of AOSP/TW? I never actually tried the PA ROM when I had my Nexus, it was just one I never got to. Do you get solid battery life on the PAC-man ROM? I'm taking a look at it right now.

No PA isnt a hybrid AOSP/TW rom, its a pure AOSP rom that offers hybrid settings so you can set your apps individually to appear as phone, in between, and tablet mode. There's a little more to it than that but that's the gist of it.
You also may want to check out Vanilla Rootbox, it is my favorite thus far and is really stable.
