I just tried that, it does'nt seem to work for some reason. I have tested about 6 different one's and most do not even install, could it be something to do with dependencies for the fm radio to work?

It's from the original 2.1 ROM. It works on original 2.1 ROM. LOL
Yeah
He's right.......is there anyway you can get this to work on other ROM's....I'm using the GingerCrutz at the moment liking everything apart from the music player.
Or do you have to tell the developer so he can fix it in?

Haha. I don't know. I just want the simple yet elegant interface of that player. I cant see the flags in XDA App.

Isn't the music mod player pretty much the same as the original x8 music player that's what I use and don't think there's much difference

[Q] FM Radio on AOSP ROMs

Just out of curiosity: It seems that no matter how much updates it gets, the devs couldnt manage to get FM Radio to work on AOSP & AOSP based ROMs. Why? Anyone got ideas about that?
PS: I've already did my search and couldnt find anything. But ofcourse internet is a vast ocean so maybe i've missed something
Framework and it has been done in ics and cm7

[MOD] Alsa, Beats Audio and Audio Fx Widget

Hello everyone. Well ICS/CM9 has got many compatible sound MODs with enhanced ALSA drivers ported from Sony. But, GB based ROMs were missing it! And since GB is stable and used by many; here it is a MOD which contains:
ALSA sound drivers ported from AC!D sound MOD
Beats Audio by RockoDev.
AudioFx Widget . Since DSP Manager FC on flashing Beats Audio, I included this equalizer.
Do a nandroid backup of the system partition before flashing this. Though it is specifically for GB based ROMs it should work with ICS too; not sure about JB! But ICS already got other awesome MODs like Awesome Beats,Ac!d.
Tips: AudioFx Widget as the name suggests is a widget! The widget settings can be done in the app. Try out this settings:
Change "Select mode" to Dialog
Change the transparency settings
I have tested this MOD with Maniac's CM7 build. So let me know if it works in other builds.. Hope you like the MOD!
now flashing..! will report..
Awesome man....this was much needed... thanks...! Dancing to the gangnam tunes....

Hay will it possible to pre amp ?...need some loud ness ....i think....
Just decided to test this out of the many GB based audio mods.
Works, doesn't crash music player or anything. Dunno if there is a difference though as I never listened to music before on my cell But what I'm listening to, sounds quite good enough.
CM7.2 P500 GB works
Doesnt work on maniacs latest build. Boot loop
Good. Working in wiui gb. But i dont feel any difference when switching dolby. But equalizer is working and audio output is superb.

Battery temp increase up to 43°c after flashing this mode. Don't know its reason. So reverting to nanbackup

Working great in CM7 MB526 Fuzz..
So is this your port? I am going to test it out on the og evo and need to know who to give credits to for the work.

Tested on miui v4 ES, seems like it works (no errors) but i can't feel the changes
i use player pro, and if i use default music app it gives me FC
Just for GB based?
This mod didn't work in my Galaxy Young Duos TV (S6313T). All playing, recording and phone calls got broken.
Went back to my ROM backup.

Fm radio in CM and derivates

Hey guys, I just got this phone a few days ago and I really like it quite much. Followed your cm builds and it seems to become more stable. Now my question is, is there a fm radio for your cm builds? Or did someone already play with spirit fm? I want real FM radio and although I love cm, i ll not change my ROM, till I can get cm with fm support
