The GSM evo 3d has MSM8260 chipset and CDMA has MSM8660 i guess or is it region dependent?
@OP
DO NOT SPAM THE FORUM BY DOUBLE POSTING THE SAME THING DOUBLEONE.
OR I WILL DOUBLE POST MY ANSWER.
MSM8xxxs' are chipsets. The CPU is Scorpion.
And
No the GSM 3D does not have the hardware to support CDMA but the CDMA 3D has hardware (except sim slot, software, f/w, software radio) to support GSM.

Htc evo 3d gsm version compatible with t-mobile usa 3g/hspa+ network?

i was looking at this website http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_evo_3d-3901.php and under GENERAL it says "3G Network HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100" doesn't T-Mobile USA uses 170/2100 bands for their 3g/HSPA+ network? im just asking, because im not sure, does anybody know?
Yes they do. That was the original spec that was posted on the HTC worldwide website. However that part of the spec was removed very quickly, possibly in response to the AT&T/T-Mobile purchase announcement.

Evo 3d GSM ROM or CDMA ROM?

I want to flash ROM for my friend's evo 3d. He bought the phone in Hong Kong. The phone supports both GSM and wcdma for 3g. (hsdpa probably)
Can I flash CDMA ROM? CDMA forum updates more and have miui. I want to flash miui from CDMA forum, possible?

Porting a ROM? Nope, that is not easy unfortunately.

CDMA / GSM

What's the different between CDMA and GSM Rom's
I have an EVO 3D X515m
Well for one thing - they work on different frequencies
We're comin from a pure power source.
The difference between the ROMs are that the CDMA ROMs work on the CDMA Evo 3D and the GSM ROMs work on the GSM Evo 3D. If you tried to flash a ROM for the other phone, you'd be in a pickle. Find out which phone yours is for sure before doing anything. If you're from Europe chances are yours is GSM, so don't try anything in the CDMA development forum.
If you have a Sim card, its gsm.

Settings of EVO GSM

Hi guys. In the settings of my gsm evo 3d there isn't the 4g option!!
Why this? And the wimax settings there arent' too!!! Why why!!?
I think you have the GSM version of Evo 3D. Where do you live?
I live in italy. But the 4g doesn't anyway have to be in settings?
The GSM version of the HTC EVO 3D does not support 4G in any way, shape or form.
And the wimax?
The GSM version also doesn't have Wimax. As far as I'm aware (from reading on here) the SIM slot in the GSM version is the same place as the Wimax would be.
All rights thanks. This thread can be closed.

There are a lot of different tech's and the names are often interchanged, it is not surprising people get confused tbh.
Although this gsm evo 3d does support tmobile usa 4g, Hsdpa . The limit on the phone capability is 14mbps
I get speeds of 5-6mbps and 6-7mbps on average around so cal.
