I have recently bought a Galaxy SII HD LTE Korean (SHV-E120S). I have updated it to ICS4.0.4 using Kies Update. I want to know the procedure to update it to jelly beans. It would be really helpful if someone can provide me the rooting/installing JB custom ROM (if available for this phone),

NOOB?
Is there any need for being outright rude?
Reported?
For what?
A forum does not exist for the SHV-E120S and the SGSII is the "best fit".

Can anyone give me a download link for this firmware ?
PDA : I9100XWKF3
PHONE : I9100XXKE7
CSC : I9100OXFKE1
I think this is Cosmote Romania firmware . Thanks.
search here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
or on http://www.sammobile.com/
why would you go for GB when there is JB?
I need a 2.3.3 firmware from Romania. I like it better. It is smoother. The battery drains harder.. Etc..
Search Samfirmware.com/AndroidFirmwares.net for it. If they don't have it, you're probably SOOL. Chances of someone on here with a copy of this seeing your thread are almost zero.
No one have this firmware ?
You can find it at SamMobile
BTW Why do u want 2.3.3 ROM? Put a 4.0.4 ROM instead if u are taking it to service centre
I can't find it . If I could have found it, I wouldn't asked for it here anymore. Can anyone post the link, please ?
No. It's available on one of the sites I listed, and it's easily found. If you can't do something as basic as find it, you miss out (Stop being a demanding little ****).
I didn't see the second site. Thank you very much

Look here its easy and if you use the signed zip you can root it via stock recovery once the file is on your handware without getting the warning Read full post to understand.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877270

Seems to complex for me, I'd rather wait for a legit root.
Get to download mode, kill kies applications, open odin, plug in your device, get philz or siyah v6 tar files, open in pda and hit start?
Does that work for you?

Actually the patch was recently announced and if you read about it you will understand that if you want to root that vulnerability has to be exposed otherwise the device will be unrootable.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Yes it was.
King, "works" as in "can open the app" or as in "able to use the exploit"?

You know according to article I read if the exynos abuse is closed, the device becomes unrootable because of the new security measure , so if we don't want exynos exploitable phone we must deny ourselves root, but as far as I know all roms released for s2 is easily rootable, maybe they might include it in the next possible update?
Edit : I will search around for the article, feel free to correct me though if I am wrong.

Hmm... I still have my doubts.. No offense... But I can't find anything related to an official fix for s2 international, only the sprint version has an official patch, I would like to confirm this, so have you tried it out in stock kernel? (fix must be kernel level so must be checked out in stock kernel) or could you please give me a link to support your statement.?

Read it in the jb thread sticked at the general forum.
How about a test run, wanna unroot your device and give it a go?

I hate stock too much and besides just unrooting won't work, I have philz kernel, I will need to flash stock kernel to actually test it out, well if you say there is a thread about It, I will take your word for it, I will check the thread out though.

Here's a post by Chainfire on G+:
https://plus.google.com/app/basic/stream/z122fjbrfwejtzfo004cjl1aoor5ezninhc
On reading the comments, he does say that Samsung seems to have patched the exploit on 4.1.2, but he hasn't confirmed it yet.
But the ExynosAbuse app will still report the phone as exploitable, because Samsung has applied a different patch than Chainfire's app does (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36189132&postcount=149)

Wtf? I am confused now I really want to test it out. But my damn dsl connection resets with every power cut(yeah its frequent, I am still living in a developing nation) or a phone call and I can never really fully download it now, must make someone else do the downloading for me or the testing.
This is what I get for living in south India. Damn...
Edit ;hey immortalneo you must be familiar with my situation right?
Edit : ah jumped the gun didn't read the xda thread you provided my doubts are cleared. Thanks to gastonw and immortalneo.
