On Gingerbread there used to be a Google Voice Inbox 3x1 widget. On Jelly Bean there's a 2x2 widget that shows the account balance at the bottom and also an option to toggle GV calling on/off. It would be fine except for that silly option to toggle GV on/off which is very error prone, I can tap it by accident and not realize I turned GV calling off.
So any way to get the old style GV Inbox widget on Jelly Bean? Or any alternative widgets that work well with GV?
Any ideas?

I have a question regarding the stock lockscreen (i.e. the default touchwiz lockscreen):
When I receive an email I see no notification on the lockscreen but when I receive a sms message I see a notification on the lockscreen. Can anyone tell my how I can enable it so I can see a email notification on the lockscreen area? And I am not talking about a notification in the notification on the top, which I get. I am using the Samsung email client (i.e the default one).
Thanks
I'm searching for this as well. I didn't even know that new sms notifications would show up on the lock screen until this morning.
It's a really nice built in feature. If it would show emails and missed calls too I wouldn't need an app which would be preferred.
I haven't seen anywhere to edit anything other than the wallpaper of the lockscreen although the manual makes it sound like you can simply long press to edit.
Is this hidden in Samsung Apps or somewhere we wouldn't think to look?
Testing:
Missed calls show too. I guess just Emails don't which is a little odd.
Only missed calls and text messages show on the lock-screen, the only customization allowed on stock lock-screen is clock position and of course the lock-screen wallpaper.
Music widget will also show on lock screen if your using the Samsung music player
Thanks, I didn't know about the music player showing.
Emails would be really nice. A quick link to the camera would be the only other thing.
Good enough for me to not use an app (widgetlocker) though.
I'm looking for a widget that shows either recent missed calls or unread text messages (or both) for use on Widgetlocker. I already tried MissedIt!, SMS Unread Count, Last Call Widget, and ADW Notifier, but they don't provide the functionality I am looking for.
I can't post pictures yet, so I'll try to describe the widget I am looking at. It's either 4x1 or 3x1, and on the left 2 columns it shows the name of the person who called and their phone number. Between the second and third column is a straight vertical line/divider, like one of these... | ... and on the right side of the divider is a green phone icon. I like that it shows the name/number of the missed call - not just the number of missed calls - and appears to have a button for returning the call from the widget.
What would be even better is widget just like MissedIt!, but with small phone, SMS, and email icons to the left of the numbers of missed items, and more details like name of missed caller, preview of SMS, etc.
Anyone have any idea what widget this is, or know of a widget with similar features? A widget that also counts and previews recent SMS would be even better.
Thanks
Try to look at those

When my phone is lock and I put my hand over the sensor the screen comes up showing me the preview. It will show text notification icon, gmail icon and work email icon, but there is a Missed call notification, then next to that is an EMAIL notification. I have a work and personal email accounts set up on this, but the email icon next to the missed calls always shows zero even if I have unread mail in both accounts. Does anybody know how to set the email notification on that screen to actually show the number of emails?
Nobody has any answers for this issue?
Hi All, When I get a voice mail notification in the status bar and i hit the icon for vm in notifications, it automatically opens the v v m app, similarly, in the stock dialer if I hit the voice mail icon, it automatically opens the visual voice mail app. There is an added fee for this app per month and I declined the service. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the icon in the notifications for voice mail and the icon in the dialer to dial *86 instead? My old phones have all done this. The alternative is that I cannot access voice mail from the notification in the status bar,; instead, I have to go into the dial pad and hit speed dial 1 or *86. Verizon told me that upon declining the vvm service, my icons (in dialer and status bar) would then default to *86, but this hasn't happened. Anyone have this problem or solve this? Thanks in advance!

Basic visual voice mail is now free.

Or you can use YouMail, which is free and works wonderfully. I have used it for several months, very reliable:
