my favourite game on ios was Real racing 2 but when i try to install on me sgs2 it crashes while opening .
i have changed 3 rom's for this but nothing works also im rooted but it wont work any version of this game
so please if you know anything about this problem please give me a solution to fix this ! thanks a lot
I think it's only work on gingerbread roms
I love this game! Castellona Bay all day!
I haven't been able to get it working on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or HTC Evo LTE yet..
I got it working on my ICS EvoLTE. Download the Android/data files either online or on a working android device then place it in Android/data. I had to rename it from .ra to .row. Hope this helps!
Hi everybody, i own a galaxy tab plus running honeycomb 3.2. I got rid of my ipad mainly because of android's flash support. I use to watch videos mainly on sites as ign, gametrailers, gamespot etc but my tablet's performance is very bad. I don't have any problems in youtube even if i watch hd videos. Recently i checked other tablets' flash performance on those sites and they had the same problem,so i guess this is a honeycomb issue. Has anyone else the same problem? Tablets which are running ics have better flash support? Please is there a solution? Sorry for my bad English
I too have noticed that the flash starts to studder. I actually found that to be quite disappointing.
i must mention that my gs ii which has the same exynos processor, has by far better performance both on gb and ics. Can anyone else post his experience from his tablet's flash support?
Tab 7.0 Plus flash stutters. Single core low end processor nook color is much better. Seems to be honeycomb problem. Im surprised there hasnt been more complaining about this. Its a serious problem
Hi guys, I am Syed Ahsan Ali Gardazi from Pakistan. Heard of this site from a friend of mine he said you guys could help.
I am really new to this Android business, so I have a Galaxy s II, with Android 2.3.5 and its model is GT-I9100T. I wanted to know that should I upgrade my android software to 4.0 or ICS? Will the apps of later versions work on the current version. Is there any difference in power or RAM consumption? What is the most optimum Android software for GS II?? And it would really help to know some good apps for the device, useful apps not games and stuff (God knows I have enough of those ). In general I want to stay up with the world and I also want the optimum for my mobile but I don't wanna slow it down.
Please I am in dire need of help!!!!!!!!!!!:crying::crying::crying::crying:

You should see this post before updating:

I updated my GT-i9100 to ICS (ice cream sandwitch) a.k.a android 4.0.x a few days ago and all my apps remained intact. Still some of them did not work anymore. Like "loops". I tried to reinstall it and it said cannot install on usb drive or sd card. I found a simple solution googleing it. Just unmount the sd card and install the app, it will work, then you can mount the sd card back. It must be a 4.0.3 issue.
You could try flashing 4.0.4 or even jellybean 4.1. If you find it works for your model.
So i havent found any app that does not work on this new version. Except for iHelicopter which has a 1 second delay on sending the control commands to the helicopter, so i cant really use it anymore, but i guess its the developers fault.
About the performance... i would say that its a lot better. A game called crime city runs a lot smoother now for example.
You should try the go launcher ex, which i use, or maybe other launchers instead of the tw launcher.
Root your phone and install super manager and os monitor or some other app of this sort to see what really goes on in the backround like running services. That way you can uninstall apps or disable services that you dont need and uselessly consume power, then you will have a fair battery life. I only have ics for a few days now and i cant really compare the battery life yet, but i dont see any drastic change.
And about the ram: unused ram is wasted ram. If you exit apps they remain in ram in sleep mode they dont consume power, but on reopening they save some startup energy needed.
Other cool apps:
Hackers keyboard
Pudding camera
Android sensor box
Sensor music player
Flashlight
Google sky
Nasa

Thanks guys
Thanks alot guys you were great help specially you Frank, you sorted out all my problems so this morning I rooted my phone and installed android 4.0.3 on it and I love it. Its awesome. There was no differemce in the apps just the whole outlook changed. Loved almost all the apps you posted but i have a wee problem with the sensor music player: I type horizontaly and so all of a sudden music turns on. I saw that my RAM went from 250 mb to 330 when i am not using any stuff. Also I felt that the battery consumption only rose a bit. Thankn you guys you were real help. Cheers.

I'm stuck in a bootloop already, with no recovery image. The Venus doesn't seem to have a lot of support yet despite the attractive name. If anyone can help me out with a link to a firmware update, the kind that goes on a micro sd and gets flashed with vol+ and power, then many thanks.
I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkOVvRJ_gj8&feature=youtube_gdata_player. There's a link to download tools and firmware but I'm still stuck. My laptop is not seeing the tablet at all when connected. The language was kinda beyond me in the video too.

Yes, they are. For me, at least.
PS. You can get Firmware for the Ainol Nova Venus tablet on Ainols site:
http://www.ainol.com/plugin.php?identifier=ainol&module=download
If you can't read chinese view the site in Google translate:
http://translate.google.com/transla...m/plugin.php?identifier=ainol&module=download
To download you could have to switch back to chinese. Currently, Version 20130131 V1 (direct link to *.rar) is the most recent firmware.
rgds,
UPDATE:
The most recent Firmware seemst to be 20130203 which can be found in this post:
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/52722-actions-atm7029-rom-0203-for-venus-hero-2/
I have no idea, why this one can't be found on the Ainol site, but posters report that the tablet should run much smoother after an upgrade to that FW.
UPDATE2:
I finally upgraded my Ainol Novo 7 Venus to 0203. Its a lot snappier now, really good, was worth the fiddling.
One helpful point: its a bit difficult to get into flash mode as you don't have any feedback when you're in flash mode, just a black screen. Easiest way to get into flash mode is to reboot the device. Then during the reboot shut down proces just hold Volume +, nothing more, and hold it for 5 seconds after the reboot shut down. The screen stays black. If you see the Ainol Logo, you're not in flash mode and have to retry the procedure! Then connect your black screened device to the PC and it will detect the device.
thx for the info on updating the firmware. Makes it really snappy and quick. Must do. :good:
stuck
#EDIT, sorted now looking good too
Failure...failure... success updating Novo 7 Venus Firmware
I've owned my Ainol Novo 7 Venus tablet for about 6 weeks now. This tablet looks marvelous but performance was borderline acceptable.
I'm a noob here and a noob to the Android universe. I had read that a firmware update has lead to better performance but the down side of such a task is that you might end up with a dead tablet, a brick if things go wrong!!
A couple days ago my tablet's performance was extra crappy and during a moment of insanity I decided to try a firmware update (I was going to do an update eventually but was waiting on someone to do s step-by-step video). Like I said I'm a noob to table flashing.
After a few failed attempts I was eventually successful. I did piece together a video that might be of use to other noobs who are also hesitant in performing a firmware update. Since this was a spur of the moment decision the video is not my best work but should provide a few tips to those wanting to perform this upgrade.
Since I'm new here it won't allow me to post an outside link so... let's see. Go to youtube and maybe search for these key words:
cpuken ainol novo 7 venus firmware... that should do it. If an old-timer here wants to post the link I think that might be helpful.
I realize many of the members here are much more advanced then myself but there are probably a few other noobs that this might benefit.
The result of the firmware update is now my tablet not only looks good but performs good.:good:
I hope this helps someone else who might be on the fence or who had questions regarding the upgrade procedure.

cwmr and twrp
Anyone tried porting the CWMR or TWRP it seems this tablet has no active developers I have the stock recovery anyone interested in converting it to CWMR and TWRP thanks in advance
^Hi tag team mate! Ugh still stuck sa unpacking and repacking rec.img
I'm actually interested in giving a go at some development for this tablet, even though I'm new. After my exams (which start next week) I will see if I can so something. CM10 on the Venus would be nice.
Also there was some new firmware released the other day, it improves the UI so much. Noticeably much smoother than all the other firmware versions.

I really don't want to upgrade unless we already have a cwmr or twrp backup coz we have a rebranded software here in the Philippines which is the Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt that is why we are still stock at the stock rom. I already have the stock recovery we just need help on how to convert and port it to our device so we can backup the stock rom before we jump into other firmwares.

Well first we'll need to compile a custom recovery, based on the stock one. I checked my Venus and it does seem to have a stock recovery of its own. Using that we could probably compile a custom recovery, though I'm learning how to do that. Apparently you need to learn a lot of technical specifications from the device before you go making your own recovery,
Hey guyz,
can somebody just post screen or video with new firmware update, just some Antutu or stuff like that after updating to 20130203 or at least that 20130131 v1?
Because I'm really thinking about this tablet, but since i saw how terrible optimization it had for games, i was a bit more interested in Crystal II...
Just to see if that performance got fixed for example to make MC3 or Dead Trigger non-laggy.
Thanks all in advance.

I've done two firmware updates on my Novo 7 Venus tablet and it's gotten better after each update. The most recent update I performed was the 2013.03.28 update. Most everything I've read about this update is that it is the one to have for now. With these rapid updates already, it appears that this is becoming a popular 7" tablet choice and Ainol appears to be serious about making it the best it can. I'm sure some tablets are released and get poor sales and are just abandoned by the manufacturer. So these updates are just one indication that maybe that won't be the case with the Novo 7 Venus. I'm not a game player so all I can provide is a benchmark pic below. I've heard that benchmarks don't always tell the complete picture.
I've been trying to stay on top of what's happening to the Novo 7 Venus tablet and have created a web page (or two) to share stuff that I find.
Check out the web site shown on the attached pic. Anytime I find new info on the web, I'm trying to add relevant links to that info on my site.
I've also have created several youtube videos covering multiple Venus related stuff.
Here's a screenshot I took after my most recent firmware update:
Well, it won't let me post an external link (web sites, photos, etc.). Someday I'll be able to do so.
For now, the fastest AnTutu benchmark I've gotten has been: 12573
Since I can't post any links right now, I'll direct you to Youtube and search for these key words (cpuken Novo 7 Venus firmware).
From those videos you can find a link to my web site where I'm also trying to gather as much Novo 7 Venus info, tips, reviews, etc.
I will warn that I've gotten varying results from running the Antutu benchmark. Above is the fastest I've seen on my tablet.

Some games will run better than others. Real Racing 3, which is graphic intensive, runs at a decent frame-rate at around 15-30 fps. Temple Run 2 runs pretty well, though not as great as my Samsung Galaxy S2. Subway Surfers just runs terrible. The tablet is getting there in terms of firmware updates. The UI is much smoother with updates than when I first got it.

i want to play
Hi every body , so do advice me to buy it if i want to play the last Android games ? MC4 for example
I'm trying to revive my old i717 and have installed the latest CM 10.1.3.
To my surprise, it is very sluggish. The new PvZ2 game is extremely slow. I have an even older Galaxy Tab 10.1 and PvZ is very smooth.
Is there something inherent with i717 + CM that I'm not aware of? Is there a different rom I should be using?
Thanks!

hate to say it but I think even 10.1 is old news now. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but everybody is running some form of 10.2 or 4.3.
4.3 having more options and more support than anything that is straight CM. its very smooth and more important for most is no random reboots.
don't game much, so sorry I cant help you there. don't have any idea how much these hardcore games affect a phone. maybe there is still something else running in background.
Sluggish is usually because if poor flashing techniques, such as not formatting system and data, or incorrectly restoring system apps.

I was thinking the same thing but saw a post on the popcap forums about it. Apparently the game when it is run on our notes it is showing graphics for higher end devices. Ex S4, Note 3, etc. That's were the lag begins. I have found that using Resolution Changer available on the play store and decreasing the resolution of our note a little bit (Note is 1280x800. I decrease it to 1280x768) the game runs fluidly. I dont know why the game thinks that the note is 1080p. Try it out and let me know.

will give it a shot. Thanks!
Yeah my note preforms a little sluggish running CM10.2, I think its cause our device has limited ram. Hopefully Android 4.4 kitkat will fix this.
There's definitely something up with the graphics I think, at least rotation. I noticed on 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 ROMs that in landscape mode it is very laggy when doing GPU things like scrolling, swiping, games, etc. Works perfectly fine in portrait mode. No idea what's up with it. This happened after a complete reflash of CM10.2 so it wasn't stale files.
