Galaxy Player/S Wifi 4.2 / Custom ROM - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Hi everyone,
now that we have Root access and CWM on the WIFI 4.2 i think it´s time to get some Custom Rom´s on the device....
So is there any developper who has time or is interessted to help the wifi 4.2 users?
It would be great if it is possible to have a CR with an improved software...
BTW - is it maybe possible to improve the KErnel so that it is possibel to get use of the voodoo sound ?
Thanks for your help !

Sir, you can change wallpaper by long tapping on home sceen, a menu will pop up , select wallpapers or gallery based on where your desired wallpaper is. I didn't get the colour stuff? If you mean that you want to change the ROM's colour then you cannot do that through a wallpaer, you need to download a theme which has the desired colors and apply the theme via Theme Manager
And yes, you can also change the wallpaper via settings menu

Thanks for your reply. I searched for all the roms, and know what search button means. I found lots of roms, thats why I am asking people to help me. Maybe my title is not correctly expressed and sorry about posting this question again, if it irritates you.

Sir, please cool down, it's ok. We need to give time to new people/members to adapt to XDA. I am not going against you sir, you are elder to me so whatever you say is right. But, XDA is all about helping each other, if someone is in trouble and doesnt know how to go about, then we shouldnt mind
in my opinion. now is the best and setabil is "TheMyth ICS - Lite"
this one is great CRe.ActiveX RC1 Barebones Based on CM7.1 Grif_07 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1414779
Hi,
I tried almost all ROMs in the development pages but I like the best ICS final with SlainModFast v2.5 with the new kernel(blackhawk - ketut). I had no reboots, no freezes no problems. I also run the JuiceDefender on balanced and improves the battery life. And I like the ADW launcher that is included in the ROM.(tried GO, Launcher Pro and some others).
I am a big fan of Grif's CM7 and Ketut's oc kernel... those guys deserves monies!
need kernel with vpn support Android 2.3.5
Hey guys,
flashed today the ace to the Android 2.3.5 via odin.
have now these figures:
Android 2.3.5
Basisband S5830xwks2
Kernel [email protected]#1
gingerbread.xwks2
have read in this forum that per default in samsung's kernel there is no vpn support compiled in so that that i am not able to use vpnc to connect to company's vpn (cisco based).
maybe an option is to update to Android 2.3.6 stock rom, but i think same sh** no vpn support compiled in...
Need a 2.6.35.7 Kernel with additional vpn support nothing more like overclocking etc. Which kernel are you recommended and how do i update only the kernel via odin, too???
many thanks for your replies.

Check this out. I know it's slightly unrelated but CM team expect no major problems with the upgrade, so I am sure that the Omega rom will also be fine; but obviously you'll have to check this with other developers or read their development thread.

sorry I didn't know about that.
it's ICS 4.0.4, base: XWLPX and it's alliance V4 rom
Then I'd say no. There is JKay deluxe mod which I've read includes back to kill feature, but there is no version of the mod for XWLPX

So you are saying that Samsung XWLPX has the option to enable back to kill, but Simplistic V ROM doesn't? So ask the Simplistic V ROM developer to make it available, no?

LOL I confused Alliance with Simplistic (I thought they were the same). I don't use tht kind of ROMs so I don't know their names. Excuse me on that.
You should ask in the ROM thread. I don't see a way you can add the feature yourself... Good luck

LOL you don't even know the purpose of developing and the work and innovation they do. They miss some Samsung propietary features, but they have lots of more (depending on the person) useful features AND it goes months ahead official updates (on i9100 the difference will be a few months, in some devices will be longer, and in some devices Cyanogen is the only update they will see).
Think before saying so many foolishness in so few words. I'm done here bye

the innovation things you talk about will make many think twice before using them and lose battery life, stability & many things I don't remember.

No apologies needed for the English. I don't know that you're going to have much luck. That device isn't very well supported. The specifications for the device are rather dated compared to most current devices. I wouldn't suggest anything better than gingerbread running on it anyways. Perhaps you'd have better luck working on a port of cyanogenmod 7.2 What goals do you want to accomplish by running a custom ROM?

For the Custom ROM, I want the innovations of ICS, for example a new graphic, a new more easy multitasking, the ability to create folders on the desktop, widgets resizable ..
I would ask if it's possible create a porting of the Cyanogenmod 10. Is it possible?

I'm sure it's technically possible as long as the devs could get their hands on the drivers. I bet video playback would cause issues. However, I don't see too many folks pouring resources into this one. Some of the reasons you listed may be achieved by a custom launcher. Try go launcher or maybe holo.
