There is no 'recommended' ones,
just play with it a little (if oc'ing, don't oc above 1.4)
choose different govners and schedulers and see how they work for you...

For battery you can use governor as smartassv2 or virtuous and I/o scheduler noop..
For performance you can use ondemand or ondemandx with sio ..

What would your opinions best be for governors you use for 1. Battery 2. Performance 3. Combination of both
Also do you use sio or hoop?
I personally use smartassv2, smartass, and/or conservative....but which one has best battery options, maybe interactivex

I use interactivex
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
interactivex = best battery
minmax = best performance
im using lightassv2 on venice v4.0 lets c how it is
interactivex
Yep interactiveX hands down.
For some reason Smartassv2 don't go to maximium freq. Example i put max to 729 put i only get 710mhz at most

The best is any governor that isn't conservative with: min- 480 max- (the max that your phone can handle, for me it's 729)
And the i/o sheduller: basically sio for multitasking and noop* to give priority in what you are doing
PS:i use paolo v6 touch kernel and everything works without any lag.
for those of you using franco.kernel v1.1 (his .35 kernel), maybe this might be something of interest?

Conservative governor will save more battery life than smartass2, and because I tweaked it there shouldn't be any performance loss in the long run. There is enough information about conservative in the web, a little Google search will do it.

yeah interactivex for best battery

Your absolutely right, when I used sonygenmod I used a .35 kernel with conservative governor and battery was better...but since most roms now use .32, I stick with interactivex

Just got bored of CM7 and decided to see what I could do with my stock ROM. I have OC'ed to 902MHz and am happy with the CPU performance, but I/O is poor. Can I change the file system to something that can read/write faster? Any help would be great!
Thanks

try turbo boost i think it will help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380006
sounds like u use cfroot. so just install nofrills cpu control from market, open it and set io scheduler to noop. the difference from default deadline is noticable.
Currently using SuperICS 1.0.3 nightly on my S2G. With so many governors and i/o to choose I'm confused which is better. Would you guys tell me which governor and i/o are the best for saving battery as I'm always switching between data and wifi. Used to use hotplug with noop but it isn't available in SuperICS. Am using smartassV2 and noop.
Thanks in advance.

Mate if u can u can try pegasus + sio for battery if u have available but best thing wot you can do if u look in general section and find thread abut that in that thread you will find out everything wot you need

you can get kernels which come with applications, for example Siyah kernel comes with an application, ExTweaks. you'll need ExTweaks pro to switch profiles in-app but otherwise you can change in recovery, there is a battery optimized profile which I found rather good, a performances optimized and the default profile. I personally use Dorimanx kernel, its based on Siyah kernel but has tweaks already made, it gives me great battery life and great performance aswell. The best thing you can do is experiment
hye all friend,,i just want ask something,,i use custom GB rom and x kernel,,can somebody tell what the best setting for cpu and I/O scheduler??for now i just use default setting,,thanks for all if answer my question

yeah,,i think standard setting better too,,my I/O standard setting deadline,,:good:
The governor is pretty much up to you.
I combine interactive with ondemand...depending on what im doing and what i want from my phone.
The frequency is also switched back and forth, 364-1017MHz at one time while im at 410-1410 when i want some speed, and according to the benchmarking and testing i get around 25-30% increase (maybe more, maybe less while using)
The I/O scheduler i use is NOOP... Tried deadline, but i kinda notice a better performance with NOOP.
That's my opinion on the question you asked.
noop better from deadline??because my default setting is deadline,,

i use ondemand or brazilianwax because i choose performance over battery
n the i/o i choose sio or deadline
thank for ur info and exprience,,

Which Governor and I/O scheduler do you buddy recommend for saving battery and for speedy device with JB platform ? I am using now interactive and sio but I am not sure it is the optimal position...

I tried Lulzactiveq with PowerJB 1.4, but it was really slow. I read somewhere that Jelly Bean is made for interactive only.
I've been using ondemand-noop since ICS and I find it works just as fine on JB.

will try. Thanks!
Thank you all. I checked your opinions and found ondemand-noop 200-1150 is most compatible for me.
I am using cfq & ondemand good preformance
For multicore processor, Sio will give good performance by splitting jobs, hotplug governor turns off other cores and runs only one core at light usage, saves battery.
pegasusq & hotplug is always good for battery and performance in multicore processors and also the sio and noop scheduler

Pegasusq and sio on FlyingThor v2.0 is awesome, great battery and performance.
