[Tasker] how to automatically save webpages to Pocket? - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Hi everyone,
Every morning I have very little time to load webpages to read when I am in the underground. Unfortunately the journey lasts 35 mins with no Internet connection available.
So if I want to read the news I have to save tha webpages to pocket before I get the tube.
It would be great if this process could be automated by tasker.
Any idea how to do that? Let's say I load the BBC webpage and want to save to Pocket all the articles in the page in that moment.
THanks a lot!!!

are we using our phones to their full potential?

Every day i wake up to my phones built in alarm clock. i usually check the weather once a day with it. i get on facebook/twitter. when i go to the gym i use the key card app to sign in. then use my phone as mp3 player. IM constantly shazamming new songs, then downloading them. i also check my checking account daily with it. if i need to take a pic, its there. constantly using the maps as GPS.
basically what IM saying is i use my phone for everything in my life now, and still feel like there is more i could be using it for. Just wondering what some other people are constantly using there phone for besides the basic phone usage.
I use mine to check and respond to all of my emails. Check my bank accounts, transfer money if I need to. Schedule classes for college. I bought a bluetooth keyboard that I use to type some of my papers on. I sketch some of my designs for stuff I want to make.
However, I still feel that sometimes I spend too much time modding it to make it the "coolest" or most aesthetically pleasing phone, that I never get the chance to actually use it the most of its abilities. I feel you on this one OP.
I have a lot of music videos so I use it as an in dash in my car
A flash light

i also just bought a pebble watch to pair it with, i also seen the other night on shark tank where i will be able to buy my dead bolt for my house with bluetooth enabled locking. where when i walk up to my house with my phone it will automatically unlock.
I am always looking for ways of using my phone for more and more. And why not, we should all be doing it. It makes sense right? We have forked over a considerable amount of money for this phone, whether in the form of green cash or by signing a contract and paying for it over the months to come. Folks have worked hard, many for no other reward then to make a successful free app. They have toiled to make our device into soo many things. Life would go on without my phone, but it would change drastically.
Alarm wakes me up.
I check the weather.
I browse through emails picking out important ones.
(all before getting out of bed)
I dock it in bathroom and listen to news in the shower
I look up whats on the menu for this morning at the cafeteria at my work to decide if I want that or something from home.
I listen to slacker on my drive to work
No signal at my desk, so I listen to music on and off at work
I use it for its calender to keep tabs on things
When I am up and out of the office, I use it to assist in wireless scans.
I use it for work email when not at my desk.
I keep an eye on it for folks broadcasting private hotspots (prohibited at my work)
I go outside at lunch to the outdoor eatery and browse FB, multiple forums via tapatalk, and so on.
After I get off, I walk do to the gym for a workout before leaving. there I use it for music and tracking my workouts.
Afterwards, I call the wife on my way across the parkinglot to see how her day went.
Get in truck, some more FB for a few minutes, then slacker as I head to pick up kids.
If I'm feeling creative, I have apps that help me pick whats for dinner and how to cook it.
I then goof around on forums on and off through the night and read a plethora of aricles I've been meaning to catch up on with Pocket (formerly read it later)
Kids want to watch some cartoon, why look for remote, I have google TV Revue box, will use the remote app.
On top of all that dailey use stuff I also:
Take hundreds of pictures a week
Read ebooks/PDFs
Practice for tech exams with test sims and "studyblue"
Watch movies while traveling or waiting on appointments
Use the flashlight feature (awesome easy on King Kang)
Remote access to my home server for music, movies, pictures, and other files
Kick off torrents to my home machine remotely
Remote view home security cameras
Use "MyTracks" to map my weekend hikes and cycling
Oh and lets not forget the hours of Temple Run and other games while in the bathroom.
More that I can think of...
Navigation on trips
jump drive
porn

Me? Kind of.
I use my phone for e-mails, pdfs, documents, internet activity, etc.
However, the iPad I have...now that is pretty much just an e-book reader. Explains why I'll be listing it on eBay shortly!
I have a couple app suggestions to get more use:
Llama - to automate your phone for example when I connect my headphones the music player opens and volume turns up, when I disconnect them the volume goes down
Super video- allows you to do the pop up videos like on the gs3 so you can do other things while watching a video (great for listening to music videos
Go sms pro - really cleans up the messaging interface much better than stock
Also if your running out of battery, I bought 3 batteries and a charger for like 15 bucks

there are so many uses for this device, there are not enough hours in the day, so I have to say no.
Also...we have a S-Pen which most of us forget about.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
NOTE user:
"take a deep breath, make sure to get a good look at it, relax and slowly take it in, the size is overwhelming at first but you will have a happy ending afterwards".

Click to collapse
Drawl something, screen shot then edit, and one or two other things. It's a nice to have when needed feature, but I really havnt come to rely on it yet. Perhaps I need to play with it a little more.
s-pen is good for people to sign a receipt(square or intuit) looks more like real signiture then using finger so they cant say it was forged. and just seems more profesional then signing with your finger
OP can u share with us which key card app. What benefits is it

if it's a techie thing, i try to find ways to do it on my phone... so i guess id like to say that i try to use my phone to its full potential... :silly:
I still run servio on my server but have switched to Plex primarily, you should try it if you havnt. Seemed a lot more useful.

[Q] PDF MusicScore Reader

Hi,
I'm looking for an PDF-reader app to view large MusicScore-PDFs (e.g. from imslp.org).
There are much apps, which could read PDFs (I use ezPDF Reader at the moment.), but all of them can only cache the next pages. For reading a Full Orchestral Score sometimes it is necessary to turn some pages back. This takes a long time, which is annoying.
Did you know an app, which could fit? (I don't need page-flipping effects or the possibility to make annotations, I only want the whole pdf to stay in RAM so I could "jump" to any page without lag.)
Thanks a lot.

PS: I use a Asus TF300TG.

[Q] Help with Flipboard and Pocket..

Hey guys,
Still learning Flipboard and trying to get my head around how Pocket is supposed to work. Just hoping someone can please show me where I am going wrong.
So, I open Flipboard and open an article (with data connection). I wait for this article to load, then I hit the share button > share to app > Pocket. I think open the Pocket app (still with data connection active) wait for it to load/refresh… once the main list screen in Pocket is loaded, I disconnect data and try to open an article. I am now met with a ‘no internet’ message.
Have I completely misunderstood the purpose of Pocket? Why do I need a data connection to read an offline article? I was under the impression that when I added an article to Pocket from Flipboard, this article would be downloaded and ‘cached’ to Pocket. Why should I have to download it again?
Have I missed the point?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

App request

Hi, first time here
I recently read 'The Happiness Advantage' and gave me some idias.
My main time consumers are FB and YT which I would like to cut down on using.
So, in the book the author (S.Anchor) describes the '20 seconds rule' which is - If you delay the
temptation for immediate gratification for 20 seconds you will give up and proceed on doing something else.
Now because I sleep with the phone next to me, my immediate gratification on wake up is FB and YT,
instead of starting a productive day.
I'm looking for an app that I can set delay time on opening apps.
Thanks,
Michael
I bet you can build something with tasker & co for that.

How to Focus by Removing Distractions from Android

Hi,
I've been experimenting with removing low quality technology time from my day to day to improve well being and simply make more time for other things! I find it easy to end up on youtube or browsing for hours aimlessly.. especially when I am burnt out after a days work.
I previously put my laptop and cellphone in the garage and that worked fairly well but also cut me off from phone calls which was the trade off. I found this great, especially if I did it the night before.
The main sources of distraction I see are a result of Data. If I don't have data I can't browse, I also can't go on YouTube. Yet I still have the benefit of using maps (offline), journaling, evernote (offline), photos, alarm clock, music player.
I've tracked my time on my cell phone weekly and I think I waste somewhere between 9 - 18 hours browsing or watching youtube. My issue isn't the time, but the fact that none of that left a mark on me as something I loved doing.. and that I think is a sign of life truly lost!
I thought if I put my SIM into a non-smart phone I can still call and text and use my smart phone for all the benefits I listed above. My only concern is WiFi... having a simple on-off switch on wifi makes it too easy to use. Do you have any idea of how I create more barriers to WiFi?
For my laptop I've uninstalled the wifi driver and keep it on my screen in a zip file for re-installation if needed. (it's too much work if I'm lazy... and yes this does work.
My goal is to increase the barriers to doing the lazy short term gratifying activities (which I don't enjoy but do out of shear habit) and to make it easier to do the things I value- friends, family, cooking, reading, ect... I find I enjoy these activities once I get into them, it's just the initial barrier.
I don't know if I am the only one that has these thoughts, if you do and have ideas for solutions please share!
Thanks.
Format your system partition by using a custom recovery
I have a custom recovery installed already, what would that let me do?
