[Q] AOKP 4.2.2 - Navbar recent launches google search? - Huawei MediaPad, T-Mobile SpringBoard

Does anyone else have the situation for the recents button on the navbar in AOKP 4.2.2 JB where it launches Google search instead of recents?
I've also noticed that the position roughly maps to the navring target that goes to Google search.
If I press the left part of the icon it goes to recents and the right part goes to Google now.
Minor inconvenience.

FYI, this was addressed in a bug reported in AOKP. They ring targets were moved slightly so this would not occur. I tested in the most recent build available, 20130408, and this seems to be working properly now.

[Q] Widget/App to Clear notifications ?

Hello,
I searched all day for a widget/shortcut app that clears the notifications and found nothing.
I have Sgs2 running rooted official 4.1.2 JB. In the 4.0.4 ISC the "Clear" button in the notifications area was fixed, as in : didn't change its position vertically according to the number of ongoing apps. Now on 4.1.2 JB if you have active apps (ongoing) like total recall or automateit or llama the "clear" button changes the position depending on how many ongoing apps you have. If you have more than 4-5 ongoing apps you have to scroll down to get to the clear button... that is insane.
So is there any app/widget/shortcut/anything that can hit the clear button in the notifications bar ?
Tried "Status Bar +" doesn't work.
.
Thanks.

AOKP Navring - Workaround for setting Targets

Hi all.
I've been testing AOKP 4.2.2 on my Springboard/Mediapad and with the latest release, was unable to set the targets for the navring.
I have observed why this is the case...The navring is hidden and so cannot be used to set the target actions.
I set my UI to be tablet mode and enabled two pane viewing. This is how I prefer it. However, it looks like the navring menu does not account for the reduced screen space properly. The navring shows at the bottom of the page centered or at the bottom left.
To work around this you need to make sure that you don't have two pane viewing when setting the navring configuration.

[Q] Navigation bar goes missing with GAPPS

Hello everybody,
I've just recently dived into the land of rooting and decided to run CM 10.1 on my samsung GT-P7510. It runs just fine on it's own. I haven't had any problems with CM, but as soon as I install GAPPS my navigation bar with the back button, home button, and recently used button disappears. I tried searching around in settings for a way to edit the navigation bar. I found a section for it and it had a lock button at the top right. It said it was locked and the screen explained how I could customize the navigation bar. When the little lock was locked my navigation bar was not visible, but as soon as I would unlock it I could see the navigation bar and edit it. Unfortunately it couldn't stay unlocked so as soon as I changed the screen it would go away again. I also read something about expanded desktop sometimes blocking the navigation bar so I played around with that setting and it didn't do anything either.
I'm running this version of CM: cm-10.1-20131208-NIGHTLY-p4wifi
I have this version of GAPPS: gapps-jb-20130812-signed
I'm really unfamiliar with tablets in general, but it seems like the only way I can navigate my tablet is with that navigation bar.
I would really appreciate some help.
hello OP, dont know if you found the answer but its quite simple. Just restart the tablet and follow (until the end) the initial setup questions.
after that, the nav bar will show up.

It's always great to see new development here... Might give this ROM a run tonight and see (haven't run CM Roms for over 2 months as daily drivers). Personally I used to love CM Roms, but TW 4.4.2 brought the smoothness of CM + Features of TW together. Prior to that TW was slow and buggy. This ROM looks promising, a lot of interesting features.

Host site is up now. Will give it a run tonight.
Here to report back after half a day of usage.
Amazing ROM! You only remember how fast CM Roms are compared to TW after switching back a while later.
This ROM is extremely smooth so far but you haven't fixed the (Call Volume) issue which has been happening for a really really long time to everyone. That's the only issue with the ROM and to be honest since its not exclusive to your ROM it's not your issue.

Thank you for this! The t0lte needs something new! The forums have gone awfully quiet recently so It's nice to see something happening.
Really smooth. No issues atm. Low in call volume can be fix by tapping one volume notch down during calls. Running well with agni kernel.

Yes but it's really important that you don't do that... It's a massive problem if a lot of people call or if you're at work and you get a call (usually in the first few seconds people mention their name and the organisation they're from and three times I had to ask for them to repeat that due to me putting volume down then up).
Went back to my Daily Driver for now, I'll wait for the update to give it another try. FC'd twice during long calls (had to restart the phone).
Edit: also sensor fix should be done with the next update. If you're in the middle of a call and move the phone away from your face it'll just stay black... Same happens after I finish the call have to wait for the other side to end the call as phone sticks in black screen mode).

Clear Cache + Dalvik Cache and see if that helps the FC's.

Speaking of which, host seems to be down.
On a different note, I am curious to try this ROM, I have been a CM-Mix user for quite sometime but the cook's phone died recently and discontinued doing updates at a point where a few new bugs had been introduced. The next update is a half-patched version which is better but still buggy.
The OP's ROM is one of the few 4.4.4 that has all the cool options we all hope to get on our devices. Hope the host site (or if anyone has a mirror) is up and running soon.

What exactly does "hide logos" do?
And there's a bug, the buttom bar reappears after having used the search bar even although it's disabled in Maps tweak.
Seems kind of finicky. I'm on the lastest stable gmaps and it seemed to change something but the settings didn't "stick".
Edit: Seems like the setting to move the categories closer to top work, but the hide explore/bottom bar works when you open it explore window then slide it down. Then it'll all be hidden.
When I close and reopen the app the bottom bar reappears.

Hide logos Like "Google" logo at the bottom-left corner + some invisible logo that can be shown during usage
Reappearing is not a bug cause all the tweaks working once during startup. The idea is to hide unused bottom slider at the launch time but allow you to use search and show results as usual.

I've changed the slider state detection, so update and try new version. I use the last G-maps version too.

Oh, I see. I didn't even realize the logo up until now. But since you have made me aware of it, it would drive me crazy. So seems like I'm totally dependent on this module now.
Though, version 1.1 automatically opens the Explore Nearby menu after pressing the back button in the search menu. Is it supposed to be that way? I'd personally prefer not having to press the back button an other time to get back to the map.

No Google Maps is responsible for this.
Bottom slider is the base layout for search results, so it opens every time when you search smth. Thus I think it's not good idea to totally remove the slider. I'm not sure if it's safe or useful

But in version 1.0 it was different. I actually just switched back to 1.0 for that reason.

I'm a bit confused. The sole difference is in the calculation of slider state, nothing else. I'll test this
UPD: "Hide bottom bar also" is checked? please white step-by-step what to do to reproduce this

"Hide Explore Nearby bottom slider", "Hide bottom bar also", "Cathegories top list:" "Hide" and "Hide logos" are all checked.
1. Start Gmaps
2. tap on search bar --> keyboard and search menu with recent search results open
3. press back button --> keyboard closes
4. press back button again
a) --> (1.0) shows map and bottom bar
b) --> (1.1) shows "Explore --city-name--" full screen
Great modul, thanks ?

You are right. It was a bug being fixed "by the way". It changed bottom bar behavior. So, test v1.2
Nothing works. Not in gmaps, not in ymaps. Mi9t, 10
Module logs, xposed logs?
Maps 10.30.2, OOS 9.0.9, EdExposed. Working great ! :good:
A debloated GMaps, a pleasure for the eyes
Thank you !
Am I able to update Maps on the Store without breaking much or any of this mod or would it be wise to avoid updating entirely. I know some mods are able to work with subsequent app versions, but wanted to know for sure before trying it myself and doing the odious Google app revert.
I'm using the last version of GM from playmarket (but I prefer Yandex) and all the mods are workable at the moment. So try to update, check the chosen mods and and tell me if smth wrong
Hello First, thank you for the nice module Second: I've notice that when I enable "Hide Explore Nearby" and I open Google Maps in split screen mode, Explore Nearby panel fills the whole Maps half-screen. Is it a bug? Thank you in advance.

Hello! Unfortunately I don't have Note or any other phone with large screen, so I can not test this issue at the moment. Please make screenshots for me (GM, switch off and on the module), maybe I can understand what's the problem

Sure, I should have done that at first Screenshots attached, one with the Hide Explore Nearby turned off, second with turned on. I want to notice that without split screen mode the module works 100% properly. Thanks for help!

I've reproduced this behavior. I think I can do smth with this
