Hello developers/moderators
I've been experiencing some problem which every other day irritates me and yes have tried solving it by own and here i am after i failed everytime
Whenever i try to remove the "HOME SCREENS" i dont need, my S3 hangs a bit and shows the error: "Touchwiz Launcher Force Closed Unexpectedly"
Lately, i tried flashing the latest XXEMB5 Stock Rom to get rid of this problem, but, it still remains and the worst part of all is that, it makes me to reboot the device by removing the battery. :crying:
Please help me on this... would be very grateful and obliged...
Thanks in advance...!!! :good:
anybody to help pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
In developer options, do you have animations turned off? If so, turn them back on and delete then turn them off again if you like.

I accidentally factory restored my phone this morning. But that is not the pickle. At the end of the initial account setup, the phone force closes the setup. And after that I don't see anything on the screen except for the notification bar. I can work with the notification bar that is switch on/off GPS, data, etc. But rest of the screen is black. Since the screen is black, Cant access any setting and toggle USB debugging to use KDZ. Can get calls and use the settings that come up there. But I guess that's about it. I think this is happening cause the option to setup Google account don't come up during initial setup. What can I do? Any ideas other than going to the service center?
did you had a custom rom installed

The first thing I would try would be doing a full wipe. I suppose you just flashed it on top of GB.

I did the same thing (flashed XXLPQ on top of GB), and I'm having the same problem. No lock screen/phone isn't going into sleep mode. Long-pressing the power button gives no options but simply turns off the phone. So I've decided to do a full wipe, but at the risk of sounding like a total noob, what do I need to do exactly? I've already gone through CWM Recovery mode, wiped all the data and user cache. Also did a factory reset. That brought the phone back to default settings, but yet still on ICS, with still the same problems. I reflashed ICS and still no good. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but what do I do? I'm thinking I'm meant to revert back to GB, or maybe even back to the original stock build (though I didn't backup the ROM). But I'm also wondering how that would work without causing problems, since I'd be flashing an old GB build on top of ICS.
In short: I'm a noob and I don't know what to do. Please help!
Edit: I never lost the "NO" keystr file in my efs/imei folder.
Edit 2: FIXED! Both lock screen and power button options are back.
Despite having retained the keystr file, it was actually necessary to fix it up... Here's how I did it (make sure your device is rooted):
Download "Android Terminal Emulator" from the Play Store. Just open it and type in this code:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
reboot
Click to collapse
And that's it.
I have since turned off my phone and turned it back on and it is still working fine, so you shouldn't have any problems retaining the file upon reboots. I hope this solves your problem.

Hi everyone i have an issue in that i cant get to desktop on my phone as the popups overwhelm me with " System UIDs Inconsistent" i simply cant do anything with it so what i have done is reset factory settings from Recovery rather than the ROM, ive used Odon to reinstal the ROM but i then realised its nothing to to the the OS/ROM i have pretty much tried everything and the one thing i cant do is get the phone to the desktop to install the Apps that will sort this out i dont suppose any of you have an alternative way please? id be really greatfull i just need to stop these popups telling me "System UIDs Inconsistent" and i believe the ONLY way to do this is via your phones operating system in your settings but i cant get the phone past the "Search Wifi" startup when you first install a new ROM?
Many thanks!
Follow this guide by @silentvisitor
As for the flash counter reset, use TriangleAway.
Hi Jericho Arcelao, thanks for your reply but i cant get to the phones desktop as i keep getting popups saying " System UIDs Inconsistent " its a new ROM install so when i try to get past the Wifi detection it keeps giving me them popups i cant do anything?

There is an option in recovery that also fixes permissions. Try that and see if it may help.

Flash a stock rom and start over.

Hi guys, sorry for my bad English. But I have a problem and I do not know where else to turn. The other day, to make a clean installation, I made a full wipe and reinstalled 08.11.23. The phone turned on and worked perfectly, but when it restarted, the message "find the device stopped unexpectedly" appeared and the phone restarted to recovery. I deactivated the account of xiaomi but it did not work ... If I make a clean installation I can use it perfectly, but when restarting it is the problem ... help please!
Sorry again for the English.

but can I do something to make it work?
Take a look on this

It looks like you did some kind of de-bloat and removed some services. I had exactly the same problem, but if you can list out what all you removed, I could shed some light.
Install the rom pixel and let me use it perfectly. But obviously I lose facial and miui recognition for example ... but if I go back a miui rom, the same mistake happens to me

THE ONLY ONE I DID WAS TO MAKE A FULL WIPE AND FLASH A ZIP. DO NOT ELIMINATE ANYTHING BY MY HAND.

Flashing persist can solve the issues
flash persis.img via recovery (ofrp) or fastboot "fastboot flash persist persist.img"
Iget the error on the desktop
Bluetooth share keeps stopping
and I cannot click it away. The phone is now useless due to that problem. Does someone know how to get rid of this? I cannot get to settings and so on.

What happened before this issue started? No chance to pull down the system toggles to disable bluetooth?
You can try to boot into recovery mode and wipe cache. If this does not help, you can try to flash stock firmware with Odin.
If that does not solve the issue either, you may have to do a factory reset on recovery. As it wipes your data, how that you have made a backup of everything important.
Same problem here for about 1 week, few days ago , it back to normal. Dont know why.
Make sure all power management is disabled including any of those silly adaptive battery toggles in Device Care.
Only fast charging should be enabled
