Need help with Safestrap - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello guys, I'm having a bit of a problem here after installing SS and flashing CM10.1 to slot1. I can't browse my sd-ext with any file explorer. It won't allow me to go higher than /sdcard in the file system. Have I done something wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried another file explorer?

Yes. Odd thing is sd-ext is accessible, because poweramp finds my music. I just can't browse it through file managers.
It's not just sd-ext though, I can't browse any folder that is a level higher than /sdcard in the file system.

Never mind... God am I stupid. Forgot to enable root setting in file manager. Everyone at xda is gonna lol.

Need more info... Did you get the .zip files?
Did you put them on your SD card?
Did you unzip them first?
I have the 3 files in zip and unzipped on the root of my SD but I haven't even got to that part yet I can't get the cf3d driver to install it says can't write to /system

It's been a while since I used an sd install, but I remember having to remount the sd as writable for some stuff. There are some apps to do this, including Remount RW (i think it's called) and File Explorer/Root Explorer.
Have u seen any tutorial on it or is it pretty easy to do I have file explorer and can get root explorer/ or remount

You should have 3 zip files, if you unzipped those, it won't work.
Are you running Android off the SD card?
In that case, transfer the files over usb. If you are running android off the uSD, android labels one partition of your uSD as "sd card" and CF3D may only be looking in that partition. Transferring the files over usb will put them in the appropriate partition.
OK I got root explore and was able to install the cf3d driver so I will erase the three already unzipped and use the zipped ones thanks for ur help

I have the same problem with my Incredible S. I cannot install drivers (NOT plugins). After the installation Chainfire asks to install drivers. I tried both CWM 3+ and simple options - but it doesn't work. The smartphone's stuck and after manual reboot Chainfire asks to install drivers again.
Could you please explain how you managed to install drivers with root explorer?
Open root explorer then click on /system then mount r/w after that try to install the driver again

For some that are having issues with write permissions for chainfire. Try updating Busybox and see if that helps. It worked for me when I was having the same issues from

/sdcard/0 folder disappeared from the file manager

Hello everybody,
I've recently moved from omega ROM to revolt ROM, and I had my files stored on the /sdcard/0 folder, and now, I can't see it in my file manager, but I can still see it in the recovery when I want to install a zip file or something. How can I restore it/make it appear in my file manager?
Use root file manager to search the file, then once found, click properties, and it will give you the file path where it is hiding

Delete Folder Contents via Update Script

How can we delete contents of a folder from update-script?
I want to delete contents of /system/usr/semc VIA UPDATE-SCRIPT ONLY!
Should i use "format /system/usr/semc" ??
Nope you can only format block devices and mount points.
Use the delete_ files option,
Look at this as an example

[Q] weird folder structure

i am using CM10.1 with the A1 kernel and a little bit ago, i could just simply go to the /sdcard directory to get to it but now, i have to go to /data/media/0/ and that's the sdcard and everytime i flash a rom it adds a 0 so it'll be /data/media/0/0 which i don't understand why it's doing that. can anybody help me with this issue? thanks!
You can move your files out of the second 0 to the first 0 then delete the second 0.
Its because of JB 4.2. Google implemented the multi-user function. In order to do that, they added the 0.

Cant Write to System/App

Hello, I am trying to install viper4android and I cannot place the APK into the system apps folder, I just get operation failed. I have tried ES and Solid explorer. Only other way I can think of is a zip install from recovery, how would I make that?

Using es file explorer hit the menu button, root explorer, then mount as r/w.
