Hi guys, I have a big problem. For error I have formatted the system with CWM, and now, obviously, my phone is locked at the screen "sony" during the initial boot. Now, what shall I do to reflash all the system? how can I connect my device to pc?
Help me, please.
Thanks.
Use fastboot, flash kernel. Then reflash firmware

Got this problem too. Use Sony Update Service if your bootloader is still locked. If its unlocked, try Flashtool, but that time I couldn't get my phone to work with flashtool. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2197536

Of course your phone is unrooted, these ftf files are unrooted
To check dial *#*#7378423#*#* -> Service Info -> Configuration -> Rooting Status. Please tell us what's there :good:

Try reflashing ftf again. For that do the following steps:
1. Take battery off the phone
2. Wait 10 seconds
3. Open flashtool -> select the firmware -> click ok
4. When the window to put phone in flashmode appears, plug the battery in your phone again
5. Hold volume down and while holding connect phone to pc. Don't press anything else, just hold volume down
6. Wait until the flasing process has ended
And now you should be fine
Oh man each and every guide regarding unlocking bootloader advices u to Not to accept any OTA updates. Why did u do that?
please mark this thread with [SOLVED] tag if your ploblem is solved.
Hi guys, i don't know how to solve a problem with my Sola. I read the recover soft-brick guide for xperia models but i can't solve it. I think i bricked.
When i try to turn on it's on Sony screen and there's nothing to do. I can use on flash mode and flash the kernel but the result is the same when i turn on. The led works like green in flash mode, or red when i finish the flash and the device is still connected. I have a locked bootloader, and all this happened when i wanted to restore a backup, i probably made a mistake: do a full wipe after that. I think that's is still in warranty, isnt' it? What can i do? There are some tips on the tutorial but i'm afraid to kill the battery or make other mistakes. Please help me guys.
And sorry for my bad english =(

Yes and flash is ok but when i turn on it's still on sony screen...i waited about 5 minutes. I tried with 6.1.1.B.1.54 and with 6.1.1.B.1.1.0 with same result. I know i have to wait after flash a stock firmware but i see it's too much time. Maybe because when i want to switch off i have to use hard reset (i mean with all 3 button). I don't know..thanks to reply in any case

I don't suppose you've got the flashtool log for your last flash, but I think you've accidentally flashed the x10blrelock.ftf, in which case, the only way to revive your phone is to have it jtagged at a repair-shop.

Try SEUS or PC Companion repair option. It repaired successfully and update to stock 2.1 ROM for mine.
However, I am now trying to fix the near dead battery issue where it just restarts and refuse to continue loading after initial Sony Ericsson logo (for second or two).
Murphy's law is with me tonight. Tomorrow, I'm meeting someone who wants to buy my xperia P so tonight I plugged out my sim-card, deleted my stuff on the sd-card and did a factory reset. When I rebooted the device to check if indeed everything was deleted, my pc didn't recognise the device. I tried on an other pc but no reaction. I hear the connecting sound and get a notification on the pc that says "usb device not recognised". I tried installing the drivers via SUS but that didn't change anything. I then tried if my sim-card worked but the device gives a notification: the simcard could not be recognised. My simcard is working correctly as it works in an other cellphone. I then thought I could install titanium backup to search for an old backup but I can't even get the wifi going. I also installed other roms but I can't mount /system. The device I have is rooted and unlocked.
Could you help me solve this issue?
Can't understand the problem exactly, is the device booting? If it is what does it mean you cannot mount system?
You also say you have installed other roms, that require mounting of system.
What FW is installed?

The device was booting but now it's stuck on the Sony image (before the loading image)
The problem is: the device doesn't recognise any simcard. I can't turn on wifi nor does the pc recognise my phone.
When in CWM (when I try installing a new rom that was already on the phone's sd-card beforehand) I can't mount /system.
I can pick a ftf from my sd-card to install a rom but afterwards the problems stay the same: no sim, no wifi, no usb connection possible.

After a lot of cursing and sweating I managed to get it in fastboot, install an ics ftf and now it's updating via pc companion (wifi and pc connection work as before). The only problem that still exists now is the fact that the device doesn't recognise my sim-card. I checked if I didn't put it in the other way around but it's in the right position. I'm sure the sim works because I tested it in another cellphone.
Thanks a lot for helping me
I have never flashed FW with fastboot only kernels.
Maybe it have flashed, TA partition which is normaly not flashed?
Lets see after the update.

I'm sorry it was in FlashMode The update gives me an error but somehow after I rebooted, the sim is now recognised :s
The only problem now is that I'm stuck in JB but I'm doubting to try anything else.
This cellphone has been nothing but random misery to me for the past 6 months The problem with the randomness is that I can't show it to the service centers (they keep on telling me they can't reproduce the problem).

Yea sorry I meant stuck on ICS. It's 2AM now over here so I'm getting a little bit tired I think I'll be able to find an ftf for JB with the search button tomorrow. Anyway, I thank you for your help I'm glad I found Flash tool to fix my problem.
I have already made a thread in Xperia U dedicated section and posted in "Ask Any Question" here but no help at all. Absolutely disappointing.

All started when I tried to put a GB ROM. I got 'Status 7' error in recovery. Everything went wrong from there.
IF ONLY it had a removable SD card and I wouldn't have lost any hair.
Please write in steps what I need to do to put GB ROM on it. Which recovery?, because all recoveries I see are for ICS or ICS+ versions.
I am using 'Flashtools' for everything. Recovery, ATM, has no ADB side load. So start from A and end at Z.

This.
You can try and connect your xperia phone to PC Companion..download it its free..or you can also SEUS..when connected it will give you a prompt to fix the phone and it will download the firmware and flash it after..
Are you sure that will help?. The phone in question is in other city and I will be there for a day or two. I dont want to be stuck.
The only thing that is on the phone is CWM 5.5.x.x version.
That should help..i used to own xperia devices in the past..with the last one being the xperia SL LT26ii..got it bricked flashing ROMs to it..plugged it in to PC Companion and got detected..it then asks you to fix the phone's software..root is lost during the process..atleast it gets your phone up and running again..
