If you have a task manager installed from the Play Store, I advise you to uninstall it.
Me Gusta!

I Think you're Using 3rd Party Task manager which automatically kills tasks.

Kyrillos rom v9.7.1

Well, there is a whole philosophy about using task killers on Android phones. If the device has good resources (battery, RAM, processor) it's not so useful but for mid- or low-range devices someone have to think about using one. I used Advanced Task Killer on Eclair and Froyo, without battery issues or other troubles. I use it manually, after using some other applications, when they remain in RAM, inactive but increasing the lag of the phone. I kill also the Advanced Task killer after using it. And after that the phone is more responsive... That's my experience with task killers.
hi
Thanks but today when i used the same my phone network had problem ie no network had to remove app reload my sim to get it working wat did i do wrong

What I recommend:
best:upgrade to froyo and just use the built in taask manager
good:if you feel like you dont want to flash a beta firmware then:
do not use kill all, do not use automatic killing (kill manually).
kill only processes from apps that you know were opened.
in advanced task killer (if you use that) do not put low security, high or medium. if you are going to use another task killer put a similar option if available (less processes will be shown)
Oh, and yeah, kill the task killer after killing apps

Remove that task killer, it slows your phone and drains your battery. Froyo has an incorporated task killer, it keeps active apps that require to be active and closes others. If you really want to force close an app you can do that from the menu.
It also depends what other apps you have installed. Some slow your phone by running in background.

any further suggestions???Tell me guys if i root then will i able to remove those pre loaded apps permanently???& move the needed ones to the sd card???
try supermanager, clear your cache and there is a limit that you can go with an unrooted phone to make it faster.its like applying the brake while u accelerate.to release the brake u have to root and install an oced kernal or a custom rom.
if u dont wish to root please do not complain....stock rom is built for stability only not for speed.

[Q] I9100 Titanium Backup Vs AutoKiller Memory Vs ROM Toolbox Vs System Tuner Pro

Hi,
Although I have red all the relevant posts, in XDA, I can not come to a final conclusion "Which is better".
So I have installed all four of them.
So my Samsung I9100 has the following task killers:
Go
Auto Killer Memory
System Tuner pro
+
ROM Toolbox
+
Titanium Backup Pro
I Thing it is too much.
Any Advice what to through away would be helpful for me.
Your post seems to boil down to what is the best task killer. If that is the question you're asking, remove all of them and don't look back.

Thanks for the immediate reply,
Ok, Task killing is one of my thoughts, but Titanium Backup and System Tuner Pro and ROM Tool have many other uses and some of them do task killing.
all of task killers r killers themselfs.....so if u need data+sys apps backup than titanium is wat i use, allthough there r otha similiar apps too in market for free...my personel exp is there is no proper app to save batt and task manger tht do tht cause a logic they run in background...install betterbatterystats to see wats draining ,very usefull......cheeeerz

So you propose to through away the task killers?
Perhaps a silly question how the system deals with the tasks without a task killer?

Do a search with your favourite search engine for "android task killers". Read and understand the results.
TB for backup and freezing .
Task Killer not required it is Android not Windows .
But if you think you need a task killer stick with the four of them and be dead as can be .
jje
Ok,
I Understood that
. task killers are not necessary
. Titanium Backup remains (either way it was my decision)
What about System Tuner Pro and ROM toolbox?
Is it Ok to keep both or.....?

[Q] Back Back Back until app closes?

Am I being paranoid or is my phone getting slower and slower :S I get tired of closing apps in the 'Running Services' tab. Is there a way to completely close an app? I got in the habit of hitting back until I return back to the homescreen but that doesn't work on all apps such as Facebook.
No thats the propper way..
If an app doesnt stop after hitting the back button it wont do this anyway
you have to kill it on task manager
apps like facebook wont close doen because they own notifications and live messaging

Task Manager? Where is that? I have an Xperia Play
There is a way ... If you use CM go to settings --> applications --> development and stop app via long press

Hi
Android are supposed to keep apps 'cached' in the background - having them ready should you need them once again.
One way to 'kill' apps, to free memory is to install a 'task manager' og 'task killer' (search one of these phrases in play).
They are designed to kill a list of apps with a single touch...however Google doesn't recommend this way, as they claims it might leave the system in an unstable state.
As i can't post links, you can 'google' this: 'task-killers-answer-google-developers'
You might have a rogue app or memory leaks, or your VM values are bad for your device. Are you running out of RAM? Is your CPU usage maxing out? Are you using swap or compcache? What are your VM/sysctrl values? All these things and much more can destroy a ROM.
I find that many custom ROM's have a habit of using stupid VM values. Try getting RAM Manager from Play Store and using the "Balance" preset, it works great. I also highly suggest "SystemPanel App" from Play Store (costs $3), it has an awesome Monitoring function to record a history of how all your apps, services and processes are using the CPU. That is, if the CPU is maxing out... get a CPU Usage Monitor to find that out.
EDIT: If you are using an sd-ext partition, it can also kill performance. Especially if you move dalvik-cache to sd.

You can use Smart RAM Booster, i used it on my Galaxy SL and it worked perfectly, also works on SGS3. You can also set a time to auto-kill the apps and clear cache.
Search it on Play Store, there's a free version if you want to try it.
Hope it helped

i don't think it's advisable to use any task killers for our android.. but if you insist, you can try what the guy above me suggested. also, if you are annoyed with some constant stock apps running on the background, you can use Titanium Backup to freeze those apps
I hope this helps cheers

Task killers are evil, and often degrade performance and battery life. As suggested previously freeze or uninstall apps that are continually running in the background.
