Hi guys, I just updated my phone to 4.1.2 and wanted to root it again with Odin through Samsung Toolkit like I do every time. When I got a "Pass" my phone rebooted itself, went through the welcome screen and is stuck at the light blue-dark blue light.
When I reset the phone it stops at the blue light.
I have also tried reflashing a stock recovery image but once it "passes" it goes back to the blue flashing light. The system tray notification says the usb device is not recognised.
Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

I have used samsung kies to update my firmware.
Edit: I have used factory reset but still my phone isn't recognised by my computer.
When i go to download mode my phone says:
ODIN MODE:
PRODUCT NAME : GT-I9300
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (4 COUNTS)
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
Perhaps this could help.
I'm not very good with phones but it looks to me like there if there was no software? My phone isn't recognised by my computer/toolkit/odin.
Help would be really appreciated, I need the phone to be working for tommorow, I start work at 8.30am.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Yep, you're truly unique
Why not start with telling us your exact product and what happens when trying to get into both recovery and download modes.
my device is I9100 middle east version
it says when i remove the battery MODEL: GT-I9100G
problem description:
I turned on the device as soon as i bought it and it said 2.3.4

You need to download files to use for your specific phone and try again. You said you have a GT-I9100G, right? Well, where did you get the files you used to root?
You also said in the title of this post that you installed XXKI3. Well, installing XXKI3 and rooting are not the same thing. Which did you do? Root using an insecure kernel? Or install an XXKI3 firmware?
I'm going to go ahead and guess that you tried to flash a firmware intended for the regular GT-I9100, and not the GT-I9100G. These two phones have different hardware, so firmwares are NOT compatible.
Amirite?
first I tried to root it using insecure kernel...when it got stuck with galaxy s 2 logo screen with yellow triangle.... I searched all over the net for a solution and one of the solutions was is to flash xxki3 ....and I did that.... but it always fail.... I also tried to flash litening rom... but at the end...it fails at MODEM stage i believe....
Now all i want is to get my phone working....I dont wanna root it anymore....
please guys please help me
Stop flashing it.
You are doing more damage.
You have the 9100G, but you're flashing 9100 stuff
I am not flashing it anymore.... but I need a solution.... I want to know how can I get it back up and running
please help me
guys i found a 2.3.6 for my GT-i9100G
but still gives me fail red color in odien
please help me
You could try flashing this kernel.

The thing is you flashed a version not meant for your GT I9300. You flashed the Verizon bootchain. Verizon GSIII is Samsung SCH-i535.
Different hardware than a i9300 (Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260A Dual core CPU, and the i9300 has a Samsung Exynos 4412 Quadcore). Sorry bro. If you still have download mode, you can try flash a i9300 bootloader. If not. you're dead.

sammobile.com or try XDA SGS3 Genera stock rom thread .
Their is not one single firmware .
volume up+home+power combination >>>> Not Download mode .

Hi Folks
today when i tried to update my Samsung galaxy s2 Gt-19100g via odin to inject this official room
I9100XWLS8_I9100FOPLS3_FOP
i noticed no progress after like 10 min so decided to disconnect the cable and retry
but all what i get then after was mobile device and pc with exclamation symbol (within yellow triangle) in between
my original os was gingerbread , attempted room was jelly bean
i dont have access to recovery or repair menus just that logo
please help
Disconnecting the cable is the worst thing you can do (normally). If you can still get into download mode, flash another stock rom with Odin. If you can't/the phone won't boot at all now, possibly JTAG or service centre (motherboard replacement).

Bro u just need to flash the stock firmware of ur phone via odin
You will get ur firmware at :www.sammobile.com
galaxy star duos ****rooted*** xda offical app ) )
So I tried to flash TWRP with Flashr on my J3, but when I booted into recovery a blue screen came up saying that system software not authorized by AT&T was found on your device. I got nervous and decided to flash a stock firmware on to my J3, but it fails every time. I finally got to like 10% but then it failed and a blue screen saying,"An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC Software." Smart Switch crashes every time I put in my serial number though so now I'm stuck with a bricked phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated :fingers-crossed:

Try flashing again with Odin, but this time use older versions, maybe v3.10.6 or v3.09.
Solution
I flashed a random root file that I found on another xda post and it managed to boot.

Next time, try not to flash files blindly, because any file that is wrong can brick your phone.
