Aah! The feature never mentioned in Catalogues, Technical Specifications, etc. You only come to know after you buy it. After using Optimus 2x for almost 2 years this was unexpected to me in latest phone by LG.
AW: [Q] Auto brightness P768
Maybe there are workarounds using the front camera, but this could affect battery, while your intention might have been the opposite.

For those of you who use this app, I have question.
I noticed that my screen is very bright even at 25%. How is the battery life compared to the normal brightness?

The battery life is just normal, or sometimes better as it disables auto brightness and gives a fixed amount of brightness.

Hi guys, I've got a mini pro and I noticed that in all roms there isn't "Auto Brightness" option in setting or it is disabled.
My question is, why the developers don't enable it?
There is the sensor and it works a bit with Ultra Brightness MOD.

I've noticed that this option is missing in stock roms. In CM10(extended) and Cm10.1 its working nicely without any problem. And some roms like NICS do have this feature of auto brightness working.

I've never tried cm10 ex and 10.1 bcz of some bugs but i'm sure that in normal cm10 there isn't the checkbox.
NICS has the option in settings but if I thick it the screen remains at the same level, as well as in other stock-based roms.

Whenever I use the auto brightness feature, I have to check the option 2 times before it started working. Its like you click on brightness once and set your preffered setting once and then again click brightness and set your settings.

You mean the settings problem or the real functionality?

It works fine for me, increasing brightness in high lighting and decreasing brightness in low lighting.
You are using the stock or a custom kernel? On Kappa1.6 kernel it works well on my mango.

Now I use kappa too, but I have ultra brightness mod which has auto brightness enabled.
i want to know if there's anyway to turn OFF the front keys? because on cyanogenMOD there is no longer that option. and those 2 light in night are troublesome..

Hey guys. My Galaxy S2 (4.1.2) has its Accelerometer function messed up. I need to fix this by calibrating.
How do i knw if calibrating will fix this?
Well firstly there is no horizontal calibration tool in 4.1.2.
ALSO when I look at the stats in AndroSensor( my sensor is okay) it gives me the results as FLAT when i turn it about 50 degrees to the left side. Then i see the Sigma value to be ~10.5 m/s2.... (Or in comparison to my LG G2 as NORMAL) .
SO plz help me out here. Im rooted btw
Thanks!!!

Used stock looong time ago,but I bet there was an option to calibrate that somewhere in settings, maybe in accessibility...IDK,look for it,it's there.

Like i posted earlier as well. There is no option for Horizontal Calibration. I tried searching everywhere. Only Gyroscope Calibration. That isn't helping me since i need to calibrate the ACCELEROMETER. What I'm looking for is an alternate for that.. That is all.

Oh,sorry,I thought it calibrates them both at once.Had a minor problem with accelerometer too and this method fixed it.
I used sensor tester by "Soush", i even calibrated the accelerometer. It gives me same results. Lemme give a comparison between this and the LG G2.
As far as i have noticed, the X and Z axis are problematic...

Only way to calibrate accelerometer is to downgrade to ICS and then calibrating from settings/display.After calibrating, upgrade to jb.
