Did you only clear data or did you also clear defaults as the other user has stated?
If you do/have done so already, and it still does not show up. Download yourself a root file explorer(my favorite is still solid explorer)
Navigate to system/app directory, ensure you still have blurhome.apk under system apps. It might be accompanied by a .odex file, in which case both are needed for the app to function in an odex rom(stock )
Check permissions are all set properly. (I believe it is rw-r-r (read&write - read - read)

I know what you mean now you mean the original way the phone looked before installing go launcher if so you cant until you delete go launcher

ok both perm rw- r-- r--
dont want to delete Go Launcher, but need to get access to home launcher
An option for home launcher only pops up if you're using a custom rom so since youre stock no option for home launcher will appear. Only way you can get home launcher back is to delete go launcher

Is there anyway to remove the stock messaging icon? I use SMS Pro for texting and would like to replace it with the SMS Pro icon. Is this possible?
Hint! Press settings inside the app.

You can change the dock icons by going into the app drawer, press menu, view type, and select customizable grid. Then you can drag which ever app you want to replace the stock app. I then switch it back to alphabetical grid, but that isn't necessary

All stock apps cannot be uninstalled unless you root the phone.

Huh? I've done that and see no option to remove the stock icon, unless I am overlooking it. Could I get another hint?

Be careful ... uninstalling stock apps can have unintended consequences and issues. Its best to hide them in a folder, or ignore them.

Go into settings and disabled notifications. If you trying to remove the icon from the dock, againg press menu inside the appdrawer. Custom arrangement, drag and drop. Hint! There's a hidden settings in every app by pressing the menu button.

Thanks for all the help. I didn't uninstall the stock SMS program, just replaced the icon with the SMS pro icon.
Can this be done? Without having to drag them all out and then in again, in the right order.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
No, you can't.
try appZorter, it let you sort applications. As I've tested it with the stock TouchWizz, it's ok and sort files in folders too.

Or try another app launcher, like Nemus Launcher.
It is a free app from the Market.

I think, if you install it as a system app it won't be killed.

With root explorer, move it to system/app and change permissions.
Or you can use es file explorer, its free
I think you'll need to rename your current launcher. Add .bak to it.
Thanks for the suggestion, it still shows up in the task manager, another question how do I get ADW to boot with a theme8
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
if you install as a system app (perms 644) and set as default, then edit you build.prop with this line:
RO.HOME.APP.ADJ=1
it should hold it in memory. The only other way to do it is set the OOM value to something like -2 (and I can't remember how to do that). Also, pretty sure adw has a setting to "keep home in memory" which should help also.
I have the speedrom version 6.0 and it uses trebuchet as the default launcher. I like apex launcher better and was wondering can I push the apex launcher apk to system/apps and delete the trebuchet apk, restart my phone and have Apex as the default launcher? Thank you in advance to anyone for their help.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
Of course you can, go to play store and download apex, when finished, press home, and you will be able to select between apex and trebuchet, select set as default, and select apex and done, apex is your default launcher. No need to delete trebuchet though

Btw, apex has a feature that even if its not installed to system/app, it will allow you to select widgets from the app drawer

I always use root explorer to push nova launcher and its paid version unlock key to /system/app and change permissions. Then I reboot and delete previous launcher
I prefer nova over apex... just my opinion

You can use any launcher, not just the ones mentioned.

Ummm...
I've made a folder in the app drawer, long hold & put it on my homescreen. I've added apps to the folder in the app drawer, but they don't appear in the one on the homescreen. I have to delete the homescreen one and re-add it from the app drawer.
Does anyone know how I can get them to automatically synchronise? Or do I just have to keep replacing the homescreen folder?
Using stock rom, touchwiz, rooted.
Thanks
