Installed to SD, but internal has gone to 0 - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've got about 140MB of internal storage, and a 8GB SD card with about 7GB free. I've just installed a few Angry Birds games to the SD card, and now it's just run out of internal storage! Linksd shows the games are installed to the SD card.
So what's going on?

AW: Installed to SD, but internal has gone to 0
Because it just moved the .apk to sd-card, but not the other things (dalvik-cache, data and cache).

How do you get those files to install to the SD card as well?

Create an ext-partition and use Link2Sd or Cronmod Script.

[Q] Move apps to external sd

Hello!
Im sure that i'm not the first person who post this, but i can't find a similar thread with a good answer.
The most threads like this go like this:
"Person A: OMG! My internal sd is almost full! How can i move apps to the External Sd card?
Person B: Go to apps and move to sd
Person C: No, thats not correct, you only move the apps to the internal sd and not to the External sd."
End Of thread
So I ask it here and hope i get a answer that's really useful:
I just moved to the S2, and i installed some awesome apps from gameloft.
But Gameloft's games (and other 3d games) are pretty huge! I only have 2 gb left on my Internal SD (Usb-Storage).
Soon i will get a 16 Gb Sd card from samsung, but how can i move apps or their data to the External sd? The only app i know that can be moved to Ext. Sd is Spotify.
Is there a mod or rom that allows you to move to Int. memory, Int. Sd and Ext. Sd?
Or is it mayby Possible to rename the Ext. Sd card to for ex. Android or Downloads?
If its not possible to move apps to Ext. SD, what can i do with the Ext. Sd?
And Why gives samsung a 16 gb card if you can't move apps to it? Could they not better give a 32gb Sgs2?
Thanx in advance!
Btw,
If this Question gets a good answer if it is possible or not,
can the moderator make this a sticky thread?
That wil save some time from the ppl who just get a Sgs2!
(I really searched some days before i posted this)

What you are looking for is not supported by any Android system sofar, that to install the apps on external SD ,
But android is allowing you to create an additioan system partition which called "SD-Ext" on your internel SD card which enables such phones which are having very low system memory.
"SD-ext" is defined as:
sd-ext
This is not a standard Android partition, but has become popular in the custom ROM scene. It is basically an additional partition on your SD card that acts as the /data partition when used with certain ROMs that have special features called APP2SD+ or data2ext enabled. It is especially useful on devices with little internal memory allotted to the /data partition. Thus, users who want to install more programs than the internal memory allows can make this partition and use it with a custom ROM that supports this feature, to get additional storage for installing their apps. Wiping this partition is essentially the same as wiping the /data partition – you lose your contacts, SMS, market apps and settings.
But unfortunatly any of the current SGS2 ROMs are not supporting to do this.
the maximum you can do is what JJE has recommended.
Aww.....
I forgot to thank you for your post.
Thanks!
Will this be supported by any rom? Soon?

Move GameLoft data to External SD
Just found this app as I was wondering the same thing, and the app works treat. GL to SD is what you want, and can move some app data from the internal SD and phone storage to external SD. It's free in the market, and damn glad they have it!
Thanks!

Music, movies, media, videos, pictures, etc?
Maybe.
You can easily create fat32 partition then ext2 partition. After that install link2sd from playstore and voila. All of your apps can store directly to EXTERNAL SD.

SD card problems

i have a 32 gig sd card in there and titanium backup has put a few files on there but when i use App2sd it says theres not external storage. how can i fix this?
thanks in advance
Use the search button there is a big thread about this and s3 you can't move apps to sd card. And I guess you won't need it since you already got enough space for it.

[Q] Not enough room on internal storage for titanium backup

I need to backup all the apps and data before wiping my Kindle Fire HD. I have it rooted with Titanium Backup installed. The problem is the internal storage is nearly full. Most of the internal storage is being used by the /data folder on the root of the internal storage. I can't just plug it into the usb on my laptop and copy the data folder because it doesn't mount.
I can't run titanium backup because it can only backup to the SD card and the SD card only has a little of 1GB left.
Is there any other option for backing up all the data that exists on the device right now other than uninstalling apps? My intention is to install the latest CM after the backup but I want to make sure and get everything first. It's not my device.
Move the titanium backup to ext sd. Then search somewhere under menu, setting for the default folder automatic. By me android 4.4 the app found this folder on ext andbackup to there.

yes use external sd memory
Sorry I should have mentioned this is a Kindle Fire HD and has no external memory.

Use external SD like PRIMARY memory

Hello to everybody
I have "only" 8 GB in internal storage e I want to switch with my external SD.
I try the function in android 6.0 but it not switch the memory, but only allow to move some app to external SD: now I have less memory then before because all media I can only put in internal SD.
The external SD disappeared and I can only move app inside it.
Is there a system that allow switch the memory from internal to external? Maybe only the ROM is installed in internal SD but the external SD can be used for install program or storage media (like normal internal SD)...
Thanks for reply!

Maybe I made a mistake.
After format the external SD I did't move all data...
Now I click on "move all data" and restart phone: it seems work!
Sorry for the post
