Looking for an app that when I connect my power it will auto start things like my WiFi GPS and blue tooth. Is these such an app?

Or wait a bit. I have already created an app that makes my brightness full when connected to the power. I shall recycle that and change it to turn on WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
I have messed with tasked and can get what I want to turn on. The only problem is that I then have to manually turn them off...almost there....

What exactly do you want turned on and off? GPS can not be turned on or off programmativally, but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are easy to toggle. Give me a list of what you want. Tasker is gay anyhow

So i need an app called screebl, brightness all the way up, gps, bluetooth, and wifi on when my device is plugged up
the reason is I have my TF mounted in my truck and can remove it. When I "dock" it I would like these things to turn on so i can easly connect my my phones tethering and tablet talk app. and also be able to use my NAV without having to go through and turn everything on one by one

So you want to open screebl, turn your brightness all the way up, turn on GPS(only can show you the location settings where you turn it on, but honestly, leave GPS on all the time, its only active when an app needs it which you will see by the notification icon), turn on bluetooth, turn on wifi.
And is this "dock" an actual dock? Or simply a holder with a charger plug attached to it?
Not an actual dock...just a plug

Okay good. Just asking cause they are two different broadcasts that are sent when you plug them in.

Is there an app that can do this. Mobile uses a lot of battery life. Is there one that can do this without using GPS. Might not be possible since it will need to know when you are at home.
Maybe even a toggle widget that when pressed it will turn one off and the other on?
You can just drag the notification bar down, press quick settings and do what you're saying you want an app to do. Its still about the same number of taps on the screen.

I have an issue using the wireless tether app included with monolith theory. When ever the screen turns off, I lose internet connection, but it instantly comes back when the screen is turned back on. I had the same issue with the first theory Rom as well.
Has anybody else experienced this?

I haven't tried the wireless tether, but have you checked in settings under wireless and network - mobile network settings to see if the box that says "enable always on mobile data" is checked? If that box is not checked, the data will turn off when the screen goes off. Hope this helps!

In the Wireless Tether App, unchecked Disable Wake Lock.

I will try it when I get home and see if that fixes it.
Thanks

Hi guys,
I've been tethering my phone to a windows laptop via usb for about a month now with no problems. However, because of the lack of support for usb tethering on the mac, I'm forced to use wifi tethering with my mac.
The issue is that wifi tethering keeps disabling its self every so often (maybe 20 mins)
I have the international s3 with the latest available ota update.
Any suggestions?

I've noticed similar behavior myself. Seems to turn itself off when nothing is connected on mine. Haven't used it enough to know the details of the behaviour though.
Mind you I'm using a firmware from six weeks ago, so a lot could have been fixed in the builds/updates since. I figure it has been fixed because I've not seen any other reports of the bug.

Go to portable hotspot settings, hit the menu button then timeout settings, hit never timeout (or a time)

Brilliant. I hoped it might be something like that. Let's hope that solves it, thanks!

LOL. I never though of a menu there too. I feel pretty ashamed of myself right now. But, I was spot on on the timeout though
Thanks!

Yup, this was indeed the issue. Timeout removed and I managed to successfully sit there browsing for a few hours last night.

Any one know what this icon is in my status bar? I thought it was maybe driving mode as I was playing with that but I can't get it to go away. Tried restarting phone, battery pull. Thanks

GPS, Verizon Location, and Google Location all turn this on. It has also been reported that it stays on if you disable those location services. It is assumed that the 911 location service is toggling it on.
Bottom line, it's just an icon telling you that a location service is turned on.
e911 location services icon...it can be removed by using a app like ninjamorph and modify the framework.res file
Thanks I never noticed it before

Happens on the newer phones. Can be removed, but unless you're truly anal about icons, not worth the trouble.
So I have 2 phones and I have a new car stereo that is paired to both. I only need to LG for audio streaming and I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable the phone portion under the LG BT control Panel. I know on some older Android phones I could tell it I just wanted to use the BT for Audio Streaming but on this one there are 2 options underneath the profile for the radio and when i click them it just tries to connect to the radio is that connection type, I can't uncheck the boxes. Pictures below to show what happens.
Try to do it when you are in the car, with it already connected.

I will try it again without the other phone paired and see if it matters. What LGOG do you have though, just curious.
Just the stock At&t LGOG. And yeah it should work. i tried it with it no being connected to anything and it was doing the same thing, and i tried it in my car and it let me unselect it.

Got it working but if I use the other phone and then turn off my BT on it and then turn the BT on the LGOG I can't play anything off of it, ugh. Probably a problem with the radio.
