android.process.acore 100 cpu solved - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

[ I may have initially posted this in the wrong forum, my apologies for the moderators. First post, didn't know ]
So...I had this problem too and didn't find any solution that didn't involved reinstalling, wiping, deleting contacts , etc.
Actually, the solution it's simple.
It's started by the data connection switching, on or off, wifi or 3g, doesn't matter. You switch it, that process goes 100%.
It's also launcher related. I use launcher pro. Anyway, press the home button, get into the launcher, press the menu button, tap preferences, tap the back button. Now the process it's back at 0%. It might be silenced back to 0% in other ways, but this one works for sure.
I tested it multiple times, works like charm.

G Tablet shuts down after going to sleep

Has anyone had any issue with the G Tablet shutting down after it goes to sleep? Right now I am running virtually stock (rooted with latest VS update). If I leave the tablet for 10 minutes the screen will shut off as expected, but when I try to wake it by hitting the power momentarily the tablet does nothing. If I press power for a few seconds the tablet boots up as it does from being completely shut down.
If I select sleep from the power off menu, I can wake it if I hit the power button or home button, but only if I do it within about 30 seconds. If I wait any longer, it seems to shutdown. I don't see any settings anywhere for this.
Other than this, everything else seems fine. About the only other thing I can think to mention is I did flash to tnt lite 2.02 and had to recover due to boot loops. I've reset, cleared data and cache, etc...
Thanks for any feedback.
Same happens to mine sometime. Currently running TNT 2.02
I've noticed this a few times also. I have no idea what's causing it. Fortunately, boot up is fast!
Same here
Not all the time, but close to half.
Plain vanilla not rooted.
mysterious fix
I had the similar problem where is shuts off half the time after pressing the sleep button. The symptom went away after installing the Miren browser. Can't explain it.
SH
This was happening to me and I tried many nvflashes and every rom so everything you can try. I exchanged mine today after a lot of research online and now for the first time it sleeps and wakes up. I am certain that there are just a few models that can not be fixed.
So happy to be able to hit the power button to have it wake up.
I recommend if you still can then exchange it for another.
My Malata Zpad does this sometimes too. I thought it was movement that did it, or the magnets on the case, but it looks to do it at random (or when something runs in the background?)
It used to do it 5-6 times a day, now that it's a week old it seems to do it maybe once or twice a day.
I am having the same problem. I do not remember this before the last update (3389).
The tablet is stock, not rooted.
I use the volume button to wake mine.
any one else having this problem? just got my g tablet today and it always shuts down when it goes to sleep
any way to fix it?
i was going to root it right away but hesitating now since it will void warranty - the shutdown after sleep is kinda annoying...thanks
Yeah I had similar issues under stock firmware but subsequent patches fixed the issue for me. Have yet tohave it happen on vegan or tnt lite roms.

Did you wipe to factory reset before going to vegan? Mine was doing that, but I never did factory wipe for subsequent vegan updates. Since I have done the clean install, never had this problem.
There are also several kernel updates which allows VPN, cifs, ntfs and other enhancement as well as higher fps.
Love my tablet.
well i only have the tablet for a few hours - and that was a problem out of the box
before installing anything i did the "wipe user data" option from the settings menue in the original/stock TnT - then logged in using Family name - and shut down to root (install CM/vegan ect)
i just downloaded and installed this: "1.0.0 Beta5.1 Link" - thats posted on the first post on the vegan thread
so didn't install any kernal updates or anything yet...if you can point me towards them and what to install i would really appreciate it - thanks
also seem to have a problem where no matter where on the homescreen i swipe down it pulls down the notification bar - any way to fix that?
my solution
I had the same problem out of the box as well. I tried using the Vegan rom with the same result. I went ahead and downloaded a free app called hibernate from the market. It puts it to sleep and allows me to wake it up like how its suppose to. As of now, it has yet to shutdown when asleep.
My ghetto fix til someone can truly id the problem with a proper solution. Hope this helps...

If you are running ADW launcher it is a "gestures" setting that can be changed in the ADW specific settings.
The ntofication bar problem was caused by adw ex launcher
Still having problems with the sleep mode thing, tried all thedelete user data and cashed deleting still no luck
Other then that I really love this tablet. So should I return it?

Mine too
I'm having this same problem....I find it hard to believe this is a "hardware" issue although I guess its possible. I'm running Vegan 5.1beta but it did it with the stock 3389 firmware too before I upgraded.
This issue is the only fatal flaw thus far I've run into, I'd love to get it resolved.

This is a "bump".
I just wanted to know if the folks with the original issue on this thread (gTab shutting down after sleep) tried my suggestion and if so did it fix the issue for them?
I had the same problem and it fixed it for me.

[Q] Home button issue

Scenario:
Was working on my Samsung Vibrant running Axura 2.0.5. As I was doing my regular thing, games, browsing, etc. I noticed that my home button got slower and slower to respond. By the time I was done, my home button didn't respond any more.
I turned on noise and haptic respond to see if the button was recognizing anything and it didn't. No confirmation that the button is being touched.
I cleared caches and did a factory restore, and still having the issue.
I flashed a new ROM, this time back to Macnut with stock JK2 Kernel.
Now I can use the home button ONLY when it is already lit. In other words I can not use the home button unless I do something else previously.
I read in other forums that other people had this issue initially with their phones when the phone came out but I haven't heard anyone having this issue after 4+ months of use of the phone.
The question I have is this a hardware issue or is it a software issue. I guess the best way would be to Odin back to stock JFD and see if that takes care of the issue. Just was hoping to settle down the flashing for a few days.
What is your guys suggestion on this subject, and were any of you a part of the initially dialogue on the subject?
Thanks guys.
I would flash back completely to stock, unroot and have it just like you picked it up from the store. This should relieve your mind of any rogue errors causing the home button to not work right. Test the home button and then if it's still not working, simply take it back and exchange it. This way at least you can get an exchange without having to fiddle with the phone any more.
It might just be hardware my phone dis this a lot and one day I thought I had enough and pushed the home button down. Hard. And now it works everytime! Try that

'Launcher Pro has Expired' Problem

Till tonight i was facing this wierd issue on my x10mini. Searched almost everywhere for it but couldn't find anything fruitful for the same.
The phone blacks out and nothing except the browser works. And there is really you can work out if you have wifi and data turned off to the recover the problem.
i found a simple way out of it. It might help noobs like me.
So in case of x10/x10 mini/pro, and with no connectivity at all. no wifi no data.
i used this
Start the phone in Safe Mode by
1. Switch off and wait for 5 seconds.
2. Press and hold the left menu button.
3. While the left menu button is pressed down, switch on the device.
4. The process takes about 30 seconds!! Untill then keep on holding the key.
5. Keep on holding, even if the SE animation comes.
6. And there you go, SAFE MODE!
Go to Settings<Applications<Manage Applications<Launcher Pro<UNINSTALL!
Reboot.
P.S.:None of the installed apps except system ones would work.
Hope this helps someone.
Hello
I have same problem as you but your guide didnt work for me. I dont have a SE X10, I have a ZTE Blade (Android 2.1) and I have tried your guide with all three buttons I have but it didnt work.
Do you know anything else I can try??
take a look a the official launcher pro webpage.
Guess you mean this site: launcherpro.com
The problem is that I cant update because I cant go to their website because both Wifi and data is turned off and I cant turn it on when launcher pro all the time open the web browser.
On Launcher Pros website it says: "Please click here from your phone’s browser to open the Android Market and update LauncherPro." But nothing happens when I click on that???

[Q] please help my home button is disabled, not a hardware issue

My home button works in clockwork but does not work when I've fully booted into android. Home does not work in any app, the peacock 'n' on the touchscreen work in the web browser but some apps like Pocket Legends require me to shut down the tablet to exit.
Rom is stock 3588.
Background: I recently had the 'force close' problem, and my PC was unusable because of home remodeling, so I couldn't do any fix that required a computer. At work I had read that clearing some information I.e. contacts could help, so I tried that when I got home. I also read in settings/applications I could clear contacts data, so I tried that. No love for either fix, but I still had no home PC access, so I went ahead and cleared data from a bunch of system apps (thinking that If I had to re-flash anyways it wouldn't matter). Maybe that disabled my home key. I also deleted a few apps, and I know some apps disable the home key. Maybe deleting an app when I was having framework problems disabled the home key? My home pc is running again and I used another solution that did not require flashing or partitioning: I installed clockwork, ran 'fix permissions' and the force close issue is fixed but still no home button. If I boot into clockwork the home button works fine (after all, you need the home button in clockwork). A reboot, or ten reboots, will not solve the problem.
I have done an internet search for 'disable android home button' and 'enable'. I have found apps for button remapping but I would rather not use an app for a bandaid.
Anyone have any advice that does not include 'flash a new ROM'?
Edit: the borked home button happened before I used clockwork, so I don't suspect clockwork. Also, when I press the power button to turn off the tab I get two options: power off, or sleep. There used to be more options, I forget what they were because I never used them but perhaps one was airplane mode. Maybe whatever disabled the home button also changed teh power button menu options.
Mike, were you able to fix your problem?

I lived without the hardware button working for about 3 weeks, and a couple of days ago I booted the tab and it took me to the stock, first time setup. ug! apps wiped, and force closes, but media and app save data was still there. and the HOME BUTTON WORKED AGAIN! i also had all four options back in the shutdown menu. I did 'fix permissions' and reinstalled all my apps; the app save data was still there, but afaik titanium will only back up app data if the app is installed. backed up apps and turned those leamons into leamonade by switching to vegan 5.1.1 with vtl launcher. way better tablet experience and angry birds still works.

Home button not working

After installing the HKTW Gingerbread, my lockscreen has disappeared, and the home button isn't working. It's tedious, to the say the least, to have to press the back button about 10 times to get to the home screen.
I've looked online, and it seems people just had to enable the lockscreen again. I can't find the option to disable it or enable it.
From what I remember reading last night some people had success getting their home button working after either restoring data or taking out their battery/putting back in.
I didn't back up data :/
I've pulled the battery several times, to no effect. Its quite annoying lol

Bump, can no one help me with this? Or should I just flash back?
Me too
I'm running 1.83 with an unlocked bootloader. My problem presents itself as no lock screen, home button and search buttons do not work for single press or long press (but do still provide haptic feedback), and holding down the power button only gives the option to power off, not airplane mode or silent.
Factory Data Reset fixes the problem until the power turns off.
Did you restore system data with titanium?
i had the same prob and had pulled the batter 1/2 a dozen times before i saw this thread. didn't help, so titanium to the rescue. not sure what it would take to fix it aside from that, but that was absurd and aggravating to no end, fsck that.
The reason I asked the question was because when I restored all of my system data, this happened to me. I started over again but this time I didn't restore my finger printer scanner data and for the first four packages with "accounts" in their name. Now I have a completely working 2.3.4 with the proper AT&T market.
I didn't do a TiBu before I went to Gingerbread, and had the same problems. Interestingly enough, after installing the build.prop fix, a few hours later I locked the screen and when I turned it back on the lock screen was back.
mine is completely gone too
i had this problem when attempting to restore data via titanium backup. reflashed and downloaded apps fresh, and no problems.
Were you able to figure it out, our did you reflash?
Can anyone please upload the titanium backup for system data?
