Just wanted to see if i could get any help with porting a rom to our beloved rhodiums i have read the tutorials and i get to boot but its stuck at boot screen and doesn't move from there. I was wondering if WizardKnight could help me on this or push me in the right direction all is appreciated! I posted here instead of the tutorial threads because of the nature of our devices its not the same as a native device.

Well I am afraid I have some bad news. I just left the RHOD400 world for the Epic 4g touch world this week. Couldn't resist after visiting howardforums.
I am not qualified to help with porting roms whole, as I have no dev setup. I am just good at cutting, pasting, and using notepad++.
thanks for your time and work!

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. I'm pretty much a noob to the whole rom building area. My main problem is reorganizing the Oem and Sys folders from a stock rom. I know i could easily load someone elses Oem or sys that is already organized, but the takes all the fun out of it. So basically if anyone can give me a decent and detailed way, or point me in the right direction of doing this would be very much appreciated and helpful. I have already searched xda, ppc, and the web for such info and could find none.
thanks for your help.
P.S. Just got my Posting Cherry POPPed.

Thanks for the reply....yet i own a cdma touch pro. Now i have roms and kitchens from all over these sites... I've tried just about everything. I've gotten to the point where i just wanna make my own rom from scratch.. So all I'm looking for here is just some type of help on organizing the OEM folder. Just mainly get all the stock applications into their own modules. Thanks tho.
Have you looked at http://www.ppcgeeks.com/ ? There tends to be more CDMA activity over there than here.
Cheers,
Actually I have, I'm Always on these two sites and i know ppc is more for the whole cdma phones. I've always been a little more comfortable here...If that's alright with you folks. Plus I've found this site to be a lil more informative at times.
Just wanted to make sure you were informed since you're looking at building your own ROM and own a CDMA device ... last thing I'm sure you want to do is build a ROM that would brick your device.

Search around next time. All these links were found from a simple Google search. Also be more specific in the name of your thread. As in, need help for what? More people are likely to see your thread and reply if they know what it's about before they open it. FYI, porting ROMs is not as easy as just changing some files. What these threads show is the basic way to port a ROM and boot it up. There's a lot of work involved after that to get it optimally running on a device.
Good luck!
Click thanks if I've helped you.

Sorry Just seen this, cheers, got my Ubuntu 10.04 install pretty much done, just downloading the CM9 repo, now just looking someone is able to show me around the source code and how to work with it etc, for example im interested in getting into fixing bugs etc and working on things! such as camera (big issue for most fresh built roms to my understanding) i know bottom line i have no experience but with the amazing DEV's im sure i'll get somewhere soon! and hopefully be able to contribute to people's amazing work!
Im kinda new to the development scene and i was wondering if you can point me to some places to get rom development started for the fascinate.
also will dsixda's Android Kitchen work for it.
i only have one fascinate so i would like to get pointed in the right direction before i try.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

bro, ive been there & ive tried this and i couldnt get data to work, but i couldnt
i am a humongus fan of this dev..he has brought so many really cool roms to the sprint note 3..but i am really confused about what version im even on..the titles help some..but i would like to experiance every rom,and every version from the beginning to the end.. he has so many..if somneone could help me out by creating a easy readable list of all his roms,in oder, and grouped....im pretty sure he has more than just the M.O.A.R versions..and ive had lot of trouble installing these roms also..i know there are threads helping people install instructions..im jus asking for a thread dedicated to all his roms in one place, and in order,so we can start from beginning, and upgrade accordingly..maybe even install steps for twrp, and philz in the same thread??...if im asking to much, then if someone cpould help me figure this out,and send me a mess with all links in order, cause im lost..

We need to keep all the threads separate per Rom.
For a few reasons, it would be difficult for one person to keep up with every single Rom @sac23 has made on 1 OP post.
It isn't that difficult to sift throughout the development section and or the Q&A section.
If you have issues, questions then please find a member to ask and they'll usually be MORE than happy to assist you.
We all started somewhere, usually from the bottom and some are on the top now.
I hope this answer helped your question out, I tried to the best of my ability.
